The others couldn't stand all the crying; it just made them irritated and restless. But none of them dared snap at Zara Chapman—in case she went off on another rant like yesterday, accusing people of nonsense. No one could deal with that.
Zara shouted a few times. Seeing not one person comfort her, she suddenly felt pissed off inside. Weren't they teammates? Did anyone here even have a heart? She was so anxious, and yet not a single one bothered to console her.
Wendy Aldridge acted like she'd just heard, stepping forward, patting Zara on the shoulder, and offering comfort: "Ms. Chapman, don't worry. Yesterday the team found food, we can do it again today. We'll follow Renee and just stick to orders."
She spoke with that sarcastic undertone—Zara wanted to curse her out. She was a senior, so why the hell should she listen to orders from a newbie?
