Chapter 15 - Close To Home

The house was quiet.

Summer storms had knocked the power out hours ago. No lights. No hum of electronics. Just thunder rolling low over the hills and the distant hiss of rain on the porch roof.

Luke stood barefoot in the kitchen, half in shadow. A damp T-shirt clung to his lean frame, and his shorts hung low on his hips. He looked like trouble- all soft lips and sharp collarbones, wrapped in a body that begged to be handled.

He wasn't supposed to be here.

He was supposed to be at college. Gone. Out of reach.

But the semester had ended early, and now he was back. Back in this house, sleeping just one hallway away from Dominic.

Dominic had been around since Luke was

twelve- a longtime friend of Lukes' late father. Steady. Distant. Hands always stained with engine grease, voice low and unreadable.

Dominic had moved into the guest house after the funeral. Helped keep the place from falling apart. Kept Luke from breaking completely.

And now Luke was twenty. Legal. Reckless. Starving for something he didn't know how to ask for.

Something only Dominic could give.

He found him in the garage, lit by candlelight. The storm outside turned the windows into flickering shadows. Dominic stood over the workbench, shirtless, muscles roped and tense, the candle glow tracing scars down his back.

Luke leaned against the doorframe, watching.

"You always work when it rains?"

Dominic didn't turn. "You always wander around half-dressed?"

Luke smiled. "Maybe I was looking for something."

A pause.

Dominic wiped his hands with a rag, slow. "And what would that be?"

Luke stepped into the room, deliberately slow.

"You."

The older man's jaw flexed. Still not turning around."That's dangerous."

"I know."

Silence stretched between them, thick and buzzing.

Dominic finally turned. His eves darkened when they landed on Luke- the curve of his throat, the sharpness of his hips, the bite of desire just barely masked by smug defiance.

"Go to bed."

"No."

Dominic crossed the room in two steps crowding into Lukes' space. One large hand grabbed his jaw- firm, not cruel.

"You don't know what you're asking for."

Luke leaned into the grip "I do. I want to be used. Hurt. Owned."

Dominic's breath hitched. His hand slid down, fingers wrapping around Luke's throat- light, but firm enough to command obedience.

"You think I've never noticed you? Never seen the way you look at me?"

Luke shivered. "I wanted you to."

The grip tightened just slightly. "And what if I ruin you?"

Luke smiled through his blush. "Please do."

That was the last thread Dominic needed to snap. He shoved Luke back against the workbench, tools clattering to the floor.

His mouth crashed down devouring, biting. Luke melted instantly whimpering under the weight of it. Dominic's hands roamed rough- tugging the shirt off, grabbing his wrists and pinning them above his head.

His voice was gravel "You stay still, you take what I give you and you don't pretend this is love."

Luke gasped.

"Yes- yes, Sir-"

The word slipped out instinctively.

Dominic paused.

Then grinned darkly

"Good boy."

He dragged Luke up onto the bench, bent him over, and yanked the shorts down in one swift motion. The air hit Lukes' bare skin, and he moaned at the exposure.

A hard slap landed on his ass. Loud Sharp.

"Count."

"-One," Luke gasped.

Another.

Then another.

The sting bloomed fast, painting heat across his skin.

"Three- four- ah- five- "

Dominic didn't let up. Ten. Then fifteen. By twenty, Luke was crying into the wooden bench, body shaking, but not from fear.

He loved it. Needed it.

Dominic leaned close, voice low and hot against his ear "You like pain, don't you?"

"Yes- Sir- I want more-"

The man grabbed his hips, tugged him down into position, and pressed in.

The stretch burned. Deep. Raw.

Luke screamed into his arms, but didn't pull away. He rocked back into it, begging without words.

Dominic thrust slow and hard, every notion calculated to break him open. He gripped Lukes' hips like they were handles using him, filling him over and over with no mercy.

'You're mine,'' he growled.

"Yes- please- I'm yours-"

Slap. Bite. Bruising thrusts that made the world spin.

Luke came untouched, sobbing, his body spent and shaking. But Dominic didn't stop. He used him until he was panting and boneless, until every inch of his skin stung with fingerprints and bite marks.

Only then did Dominic pull out, panting he grabbed a cloth, cleaned him up gently- too gently- then wrapped an arm around Lukes' waist, pulling him upright.

"I told you I'd ruin you," Dominic murmured.

Luke smiled, dazed. "You did."

Dominic kissed his temple.

"But I'Il put you back together too."
