Excerpt — Codex Maleficarum Arcanum, Volume IV: On the Path of Suspensum

*"He who dangles between Heaven and Earth sees the world as it truly is — inverted."*

— *Chronica Arcanae, Verse IX*

The **Suspensum**, called by the uninitiated *The Hanged One*, walks the razor's edge between matter and spirit. Their gift is not power, but **perception** — to unbind the laws that anchor existence and glimpse the architecture of equilibrium.

They are vessels of *stasis and inversion*: able to halt the river of time, invert gravity, and bend reflection to reveal the truth beneath all illusion. Yet, every act of suspension unravels the self. Each use of their Arcana is a voluntary hanging — a surrender of ego, breath, and will.

**Tenet of the Path:**

*"To balance the scales, one must become the weight."*

Those of Suspensum are rare and feared even among the Ordo. They are believed to hear the *Voice of the Fool*, that first divine madman who mocked creation and saw beyond it.

The Ordo teaches that when a Suspensum awakens without guidance, **the Veil thins** — and through it, the inverted ones may reach. For this reason, such initiates are to be watched, tested, and if necessary… silenced.
