Chapter 3 - ether

After eating breakfast, I decided to try to feel the ether in my body. "You won't know until you try," as they say.

Sitting on the bed, I closed my eyes and immersed myself in my thoughts, trying to feel something around my heart.

It was something like studying my own breathing... I tried to start with the basics first, to feel how my heart beats, how my lungs expand and contract, how my breathing affects my heartbeat, and how blood flows through my veins.

I stood there for more than 30 minutes, but there was no noticeable result. Yes, I felt my heart beating, I understood how my breathing affects this process, but I didn't feel anything special.

Ha... Well, it was obvious that I wouldn't learn everything at once... But still, what I felt was at least some progress, in my opinion.

Can you try additional exercise? My idea is that when you exercise, your heart beats faster, pumping blood through your veins.

I stood up and began squatting to put extra strain on my heart and lungs. I also did not forget that while squatting, I had to listen to my lungs and my heart.

I was already tired after 10 squats... No wonder, after all, this body had been in a coma for more than a week, but still, 10 times is a bit depressing, not because it's just 10 times, but because I understand that I still have a long way to go..

Well... I sat down on the bed again and began to listen to my body once more...

"Bubbling," "expansion," "contraction."

Amidst the stream of sounds, I finally felt the blood flowing through my veins!.

Yes! I'm getting closer to my goal!

The more I listen, the more I discover... More! More! I need to understand something else!

So I lost track of time, but after hours, or maybe just a few minutes, I realized that it wasn't just blood flowing through my veins.

It was something much smaller, but for some reason it felt more familiar than my own blood!

I started looking for the source, and they all came from somewhere in the center of my heart and lungs!

Yes... yes! That's it—the first step! But what to do next? Maybe there's something about it in books. Opening my eyes, I saw moonlight shining through the window, which could only mean one thing

—had I really sat there until nightfall? Amazing... Anyway, it doesn't matter. Now I can find out what to do next.

I wanted to get up, but my legs wouldn't respond. .

I only squatted down 10 times, but I couldn't get up from the bed anymore.

"Okay, let's try this then."

I grabbed the bell and the maid came to me.

-Hello, my lord. How may I serve you?

-Bring me the book from there that mentions ether.

-Of course.

The maid hands over a book that has "Study of Telekinesis - Beginner Level" written inside.

Although this is a beginner's book on telekinesis, it would be better to learn about the basic level of studying ether in general... But since the owner of this body has probably studied it long ago, such a book is unlikely here—just like books on water arts, which he probably won't study anymore. Well, never mind, I'll try to learn it.

When I opened the book, I saw many unfamiliar formulas and explanations, most of which I didn't understand. Still, I read it anyway. At least, I understood how to influence the environment using ether—well, in theory...

I also realized that to use ether, you don't need to shout something like "water jet!!!!" which is useful but ruins all the fun! But to be honest, I would still be embarrassed to shout something like that...

And to enhance the effects of ether, you need to imagine certain symbols in your head, so-called "formulas"...

But since I don't understand anything about this, I'll just try to move the object as written in the book.

First, you need to feel how the ether flows through your body after redirecting the flow from your body to a certain point. In our case, I will choose my hand. Next, you need to make the ether leave your body and direct it in a flow (it is preferable to make the flow smaller and denser) toward the object you want to move.

Hmm...

- It seems to be working.

I saw my ether flow out of my body and go to one of the books.

Then I tried to attach the ether to this book, after which I began to carefully return it to my body.

- Wow! I did it!!! - Unintentional cries of victory escaped from my mouth.

The noise attracted the attention of a maid named Rosa.

- Did something happen!?

- Ahem. No. More importantly, did you bring me my food?

- Y-Yes!

This time it was porridge again, but not semolina, but oatmeal.

Well, at least there's some variety.

- Well done. Now you may leave.

- Yes, of course, sir. - The maid's gaze was surprising, but I didn't pay any attention to it.

- Oh, before you leave, I wanted to ask you for a favor. I need you to bring me a book on the basics of ether tomorrow.

- Yes, of course... May I ask why you need such a book?

- Um, I decided to refresh my memory... And anyway, it's none of your business... Just go and do as you're told!

- Y-yes!

I can't wait for tomorrow!

Here's the new chapter... I hope at least someone read it.... In general, I'm hoping for reviews 😁
