Chapter 40 - Chapter 40 Lott: Without This Outfit, I Feel Like Something's Missing

The Hero Association's second plan to subdue Lott was officially set.

After school today, Chika arrived at Lott's apartment as arranged by her grandfather.

Watching through the street surveillance cameras as Chika entered Lott's apartment with a conflicted expression, Yusaku, Soichiro, and the others all showed looks of approval.

They marveled at how the Prime Minister's granddaughter was truly a heroine, making such a great sacrifice for Planet Terra.

They absolutely had to commend her properly afterward!

Tatsumaki, a female hero herself who was standing nearby, overheard their remarks and almost couldn't hold back from killing them.

'Damn these useless dog-men.'

They couldn't win a fair fight themselves, so they had to rely on a young girl using her body to buy them time.

Seeing the retreating back of Chika as she entered the apartment, a trace of sympathy flashed in Tatsumaki's eyes, while she also shot a disdainful glance at Prime Minister Fujiwara.

'To think he could use even his own granddaughter like this.'

'People in politics really are despicable!'

Putting herself in their shoes, if it were her, she would never let Fubuki do such a thing.

'I'd rather do it myself... Cough!'

'No!'

'I wouldn't do such a thing at all!'

'Even if this planet were destroyed!'

...

Inside Lott's apartment.

Chika bit her lower lip lightly, her cheeks flushed with shyness.

She was completely unlike her usual self at school, where her energy seemed inexhaustible.

Through the messages from her grandfather, Lott already knew about the Hero Association's plan.

His next move was to play along with their scheme.

Before the battle, he'd just go along with their ideas.

After all, there were over a million people living in the surrounding area, and evacuating them in advance was for the best.

Lott believed he wasn't the type to kill innocents indiscriminately.

And Chika coming to Lott's home was just for show, to fool the people at the Hero Association.

She didn't actually need to do anything.

But it was, after all, her first time visiting a boy's home.

And a boy with a very ambiguous relationship at that.

Even this airhead couldn't stop her heart from beating like a little deer at this moment.

"Wanna watch TV? Or play some games? Or find someone in the group chat to chat with?" Lott plopped down right beside Fujiwara Chika.

With practiced ease, he wrapped an arm around her delicate shoulders, seemingly to ease her tension.

"Wouldn't talking in the group chat expose us? According to the Hero Association's plan, I should be... with you... right now..." As she spoke, Chika lowered her head until it was almost buried in her own anti-tank assets.

"Don't be nervous. I'm not going to force you to do anything," Lott said with a light laugh.

Chika silently glanced at Lott's 'paws', which were gradually moving from her shoulders down to her slender waist.

'And you call this 'not forcing'?'

Well, this is not any different from when the Detective Highschool Student shrank into Conan, saying 'I can't let Ran get involved in danger', but then happily ran off to live in someone else's house?

It just goes to show everyone has double standards.

Well, Lott quite agreed with Chika's point.

He also deeply despised such behavior from the Detective Highschool Student.

But everyone has double standards. It's not okay for others to do it, but it's fine if he does it.

"Can we start with a kiss?" Looking at the soft, pink lips of the girl so close to him, Lott asked abruptly.

Why wouldn't he eat the meat served right in front of him?

In his past life, when reading novels, he hated nothing more than those bullshit plots where the female character was lying there waiting for you to press F to enter, but the male protagonist could always find all sorts of reasons to refuse.

Like the female character being drugged, and the protagonist using his internal energy to force the drug out, or locking her alone in a room to let her 'take care of it' herself.

Damn, how are you so amazing?

Lott had even read one where the male protagonist was just about to take her virginity, when suddenly the system prompted an upgrade.

And it said he couldn't do that during the upgrade.

Damn, each one is more showy than the last.

Lott really couldn't understand the thought process of those authors.

If the meat is stuffed right into your throat, can you still spit it out?

"Eek!" Hearing this, Chika let out a kitten-like cry and turned her head away.

"Th-That won't do! This is my first kiss! How can it be so... so rash... Mmm~"

As everyone knows, a woman's 'I'll accept the gift' ≠ I agree.

At the same time, 'No' sometimes doesn't mean 'No'.

Lott still remembered, before his background was exposed, once when he went to the Tabletop Games Club, he overheard Chika and Miku discussing this very topic.

At the time, he heard Chika say through the door, "I want to be forcefully devoured."

He concluded that this girl had a bit of an M side.

Me likey!

"Y-You can't just go straight to... I-I'm scared..."

"Don't be afraid, I'm here."

"It's because you're here that I'm scared..."

The plan was proceeding smoothly.

At least, that's how it seemed to the Kudo father-son duo.

Chika was currently in the apartment, restraining Lott and holding his attention.

This gave them enough time to evacuate the residents living nearby.

Approximately thirty hours later, the time had reached the evening of the second day.

"The full moon is here." Now sitting with his father at the command center in the rear, Shinichi looked at the surveillance feed showing the moonlight gradually piercing through the clouds and showering the earth, a supremely confident 'I think I'm about to reach the sky' expression on his face.

"I'm so excited!"

The bright moonlight streamed in through the window, falling on the girl's flawless collarbone, but it did not illuminate the man on the other side of the bedroom.

Chika, wrapped in a sheet, stared fixedly at the tail at the very base of Lott's spine.

Then, she saw Lott open the cabinet next to the bedroom.

Inside weren't clothes, but rather... a mysterious spherical object she had never seen before, just large enough to fit one person!

Under Fujiwara Chika's curious gaze, Lott pressed a button on it.

The hatch opened by itself, and he took out a piece of clothing.

Watching Lott, who had 'sheathed his sword', change into form-fitting attire and put on a soft armor she had never seen on Planet Terra, Chika blinked her curious eyes. "That outfit is...?"

"Oh, it's the clothing from my homeland. But it's my first time wearing it too." Lott, not quite used to the bodysuit, adjusted his 'egg passage', and finally put on the wrist guards, saying with a smile:

"For such an interesting battle, without changing into this outfit, I feel like something's missing."
