Chapter 62 - IRIS BELLWETHER 2

SIXTY-TWO

Just as said, iris did her best not to interfere in his private life. They ignored each other as though they did not exist. The only thing that was mainly said between them was good morning or good night.

One month later

"a billion dollars is actually missing from the substitute account my lord."

"are there any leads?"

"yes. They have been tracked to your wife's accounts."

"my wife? She does not even know about such amount of money. Even if she knew she was not the type to meddle in something like that." They barely knew each other but he knew that from living with her for the past one month.

"I suggest you ask her yourself"

'could she have stolen the money?' he asked slightly doubting her. After all they had only been married for a short amount of time and knew little about each other.

His face turned gloomily cold at the taut of the possibility. He stood up and stormed off to his home.

Iris was home as usual cleaning the house when Julian suddenly barged in. due to the fact that Julian had a trauma with house keepers, he hired none and iris had to do most of the work herself. She would be so exhausted to the bone and dint even have enough time to think about the job to do.

"iris...'

"you're back early. Did something happen today?" she asked curiously

"I'm going to ask one simple question and I want you to answer it honestly"

"alright I'll answer it. What is it?"

"did you take money from the substitute account of the northern empire?"

 "no didn't why?" t

'Iris answer me honestly. This crime is punishable by death so answer me sincerely>" his expression was dead serious.

"why would I do something like that? It's not like I need money for anything. You already provide everything I need. We also promised not to interfere in each other's life..."

"exactly my point so why? All evidence already points at you…"

"I would never steal anything from anyone Julian."

"stop pretending. "he said. His eyes were filled with murderous rage as he looked at her which made her tremble.
