Nora entered and scanned the not too large and not too small but comfy and neatly organized office. Her gaze fell on few awards that has his name on it, showing his outstanding works on the award.
"What is it that you want Ms. Sabastian?" Finn asked then turned around from the coffee machine before walking up to his table and took his seat. Without a permission or request, Nora took the next seat opposite his then placed her script on his desk. "Here's my apologies letter". Nora pushed it towards his direction.
Finn threw a quick glance at the script then back at her. "I'm not accepting this. How can I be sure that you didn't pay someone to write it, but you wrote it yourself?". Finn placed him arms on the desk and gently rested his chin on his arm, while maintaining a serious eye contact with him.
"Is that really necessary? Anyways I wrote this essay myself, what else do you want?". Nora deepened her stare. "If you really want to prove it that you wrote this yourself. How about you write this again". Finn replied with hint of suspicion. "Oh geez, you're really one tough looking hottie and I like that. How about you re-explain the course to me and I write my essay". Nora smiled as she scanned Finn.
She couldn't resist the beauty before her, then she reached out her hand to touch his face. Finn quickly withdrew and frowned at her. "Keep your paws to yourself, Ms Sabastian. Nevermind don't write the essay again and never approach me with such deceitful move". Finn adjusted his glass as he spoke.
Nora calmly rested her cheek on her palm, tilting her head to the side while observing him. "You're really beautiful and I seem not to be able to keep my eyes to myself. You're a good teacher can you please take me as your student?. A young man like you becoming a professor at this age, when literally someone old to be my father are battle with getting a professor ship degree. Don't you think you're a genius?". Nora got up and leaned over. She stood head on head with him, leaning over with a pretty smile.
The two stared at each other, Finn's face was so close to her that he was able to see the Strickling beauty. Afar off in class she just looked like a walking trouble. Who would have thought she was this pretty when closely observed. Her slightly dark shiny skin, well carved eyes shape with green pupils and her rosey pink lips. She was literally competing height with Finn, probably an inch taller than the tall Finn himself.
In the awkward staring moment, As if listening to Finn's serious prayers form within Finn's phone rang, breaking the weird atmosphere. Few minutes he ended the call and turned to Nora that was now seated, while reading a book she got from his table. "It's getting late now. I have somewhere to go Ms. Sabastian. You please take you leave". Finn gestured to her. "Oh okay". Nora shut the book and returned it to it's original position. She got up then turned to leave but looked back at Finn. "Good bye pretty boy". With that she left his office for her part-time job out of the school.
Nora had multiple job shifts to cater for herself and pay her late father's bill. Her father had passed away from a car accident after returning from the workshop one night. Her once happy family was now in scatters. After her father's death, her mother began to withdraw from her place of work then involved in gambling and drinking. She'd always return home lashing out her anger at her and her little brother for being her unlucky of her losing her husband and losing her money during gambling.
Nora became determined to give her brother a better life than the one they lived with their pathetic mother. The two moved out at age 12 and 5 years old respectively.
