Chapter 50 - Chapter 50 - The origin of a hero

In search of explanations about the origin of Shiko and all the companions of his world, the lunar knight Koru appeared, who revealed himself to be the great master of the guardians and the ancient lunar representative of the goddess Lunasin. He would oversee explaining the origin of everything because the young people gave him the floor and it was then that he began the story.

"A long time ago, before the arrival of Eclipse, there was a war against other evil forces led by a lesser demon. His reasons were to revive a master of the shadows to rule this continent. After years of struggle, full of sadness, blood and coldness, the final battle between the protectors of light and the lovers of darkness was fought. The victors of this were the ones sent by the goddess Lunasin, providing years of peace.

But then, evil would continue to invade our land. Little by little, a new threat loomed. This entity was presented with invading small villages of humans who were without protection, taking the lives of its inhabitants without them being able to defend their lives. Gradually, the world began to be consumed by this darkness and then...the continent was being surrounded by despair and shadows. Because the demon causing this had no physical appearance, the representatives of the moon and the sun, who were still alive, it was difficult for us to find, as if it were an omnipresent being. However, it wasn't, we made sure of this because many important and large areas were still standing.

In the previous war, the city of magic had been a great ally, so we came to the aid of the latter. The king gave us support by lending us many his people until one day, A troop of them took it upon themselves to give a message to me. These men had found a place that had never been found…As you say it, in all my existence, it was my first time observing a place like that. It was a huge temple that appeared on the northern border of the continent, out of nowhere this place stood before us, as if calling us. I dared to go in, and the place had a huge presence, as if I were entering a totally forbidden territory, but at the same time as if fate had called me to meet me in the place.

The place was immense, as if in a long time, an entire community dared to inhabit the place. However, everything was empty. Walking I reached the room at the back, which was very spacious and almost at the end of this, there were two pillars separated to the perfect measure, holding in chains a mysterious man who appeared to be a hybrid with a beast. The man' s hair looked totally hard and as if he was full of scales, completely silver in color. He was naked and with different parts of his body full of scales, sharp claws and marks on his face which looked like two black claws, A pair in each cheek. Once I approached this man, he looked up and I could notice the kind of person he was...he was in charge of an extinct being in this world, his eyes looked totally like those of a reptile, yellow in color and with sharp marks on the edge of his eyes."

Everyone was very amazed listening to the master's story, until Asuka dared to interrupt him with a question - You mean that man... Does Shiko look like him when he activates his transformation? –She asked nervously, to which the teacher turned to look at her– Exactly, the features that Shiko usually shows when transforming is due to the appearance of this person, who when he looked at me smiled and revealed me his identity…He was a representative of a god just like me, The representative of the god of beasts, Gytan! –The master mentioned, making everyone astonished to understand the reason for Shiko's great powers. Koru continued with his story, making the rest just pay their full attention.

"I asked him the reason for his imprisonment, to which he gave me a totally different answer. This man had fought at the beginning of the war with my father, who was a great warrior. It turns out that both as representatives of gods had to stop the evil that lurked at that time, but he…He did bad things. Without wanting to go into depth on the subject, he said that, if he released him, he would be in charge of providing the peace he should have at the time and then he would dare to disappear once and for all. Having no other choice, I decided to break his chains and set him free. The man got up and went out of the temple and then rose above the entire continent, adjusting in the center. With all his might, he raised a huge roar echoing throughout the lands causing Eclipse to show his presence for the first time, trying to face the hero. Without having the slightest chance, Eclipse was defeated by the hero, but before disappearing he left a few words. He mentioned that, for the moment, his plan had worked and that he would return in the future to finish fulfilling his mission. The earth was free and at peace again... but the hero came down to where I was to speak his last words to me.

Because his time as a representative was running out, He couldn't use all his strength to be able to completely exterminate the demon and that he hadn't previously stood up to defeat him due to a great discovery he had made… he had absorbed the lives of many people for a ritual, A ritual capable of crossing a barrier! That barrier is what separates our world from the world from which you come! The demon was only a pawn of a much more powerful demon who planned to absorb energies from this other world to emerge and dominate both lands. Because of the hole the hero left because of his lack of power, he left me with a burden. He told me that with his divine power he was able to break through this barrier and that he would use his last will to give up the position of representative to someone else.

For safety, he divided his power into many parts of both worlds and with another roar he created an emblem and a sacred sword, being necessary for his successor to be able to control his powers by not having divine contact from the beginning with the same god of beasts, thus disappearing.

After this event, I dedicated myself to protecting the sword and the emblem and to give better protection to the world and that in this way, if there was another invasion of demons, each zone had a protector in it, taking ten strongest warriors from the existing species of this world and naming them as the guardians of the continent. Not long after the event, I learned that my children had been surrounded by a certain power, three fragments of the hero's power had fallen upon them, being able to control a part of the power and not only in them…in many other children I knew at that time such as Yun, Rikka and Mayla, so I was in charge of creating an order to train and prepare them."

Master Koru finished the story about the origins of the arrival of the young people and how both worlds ended up intertwining. Before Koru said another word, Mayla took a step and turned to look at everyone.

"A couple of months after the trio of sisters accidentally fell into this world earlier than expected, I spoke with Master Koru to prepare for the arrival of the rest of the fragments…I set up a magical detector of the arrival of beings within the temples of the guardians so that as soon as they appeared, They would be sent to the room of creation where they would choose their way to fight for freedom…and after choosing it, they will return to their respective starting point. The temples of the guardians were chosen because they had to instruct each one with their arrival and thus receive help and to be able to understand their mission better…however, as everyone knows, Eclipse took them and controlled them for his plans. This scheme was given a few days before Shiko appeared in this world, but not everyone gave in right away. In fact, you came across a few who still held their consciousness in a stable way.

That's when the guardians came to an agreement…if in any given case they could not help instructing the young, they wanted to be of help in some way and made a blood pact. They gave part of their power to the sacred emblem that the hero left for his successor so that he would have a bond with them and the only way in which Shiko could use it was to defeat the guardians and thus at the same time, he would release his powers little by little."

Everyone was amazed to hear Mayla's explanation, seeing the great influence she had on preparing for everyone's arrival. It was then when, surprisingly, Zene raised his voice to give another important piece of information in the matter– So if the princess is the creator of the creation chambers to which I was allowed access to instruct the basics to Shiko and Asuka, she must have had some association with the silver-haired young woman, because it was this woman who hired me for such a mission – he commented, causing a great impact on everyone around him – The truth is... The encounter that you all had with my children and being instructed by them is something that should not have happened – said Master Koru–That's the next story my father must tell...but before I give him the floor, the position to instruct the foundations of this world was mine, but due to the circumstances of the moment I had to look for a person who could help with it and without any other choice, I went to the most well-known hunter on the continent offering him a good reward – Lunasin replied. That said, Zene decided to leave his unknowns for another time and thus let Master Koru continue with the next story.

"Once everything had been planned, the decline of certain guardians was inevitable. The virus worked depending on the corruption of these, being the most prone to it La'Parca and Ghosty because of their races. Once Ghosty lost control, I managed to seal this one with a sword which kept him still sane and with his monster form…It was then that, La'Parca attacked the island to take it as his place to be and create the entrance to the dungeon where he would put all the species to fulfill the Eclipse's plan. On the island, my whole family was guarding the sacred sword. You yourselves saw the strength of this specter... For my children at their age, he was too powerful to fight against him, and I was not in the place because of a meeting with the king of the city of magic…Shintaro, Dreik, Lunasin and my wife Anayame gave me everything of themselves to hold him back…But that's when it happened. Lunasin used one of her attacks against La'Parca and he with one of his spells made it redirect to Shintaro, who suffered severe burns on his left arm and once it was weakened…this damn specter tried to murder him... to prevent this from happening, My wife put herself in the middle of the attack so that her dear son would not be hurt anymore, giving her life for him... When I arrived, everything was shrouded in chaos... my wife was barely breathing and La'Parca had taken the sword, retreating from the place.

I took Anayame and tried to cure her, but it was too late...Her last words directed at me were to do everything I could to keep our children's lives safe... and died after giving me her last warm smile... Shintaro was ashamed of me and walked away from the family…saying that he did not want to be part of a family with a father who was not able to defend his own family. Dreik followed him to take care of him…that's when Shintaro decided to challenge me. He told me that he would find the chosen one first and would dare to instruct him on his own. Dreik didn't support the idea, but I told him to come with him since I couldn't stop him...Lunasin decided to stay with me and follow my plan and Tetsu, the young man who has accompanied you, all this time he was training his powers and was training with a guardian at that time, I guess in the end he joined Shintaro and Dreik... and that out of the same shame, Shintaro decided to hide his name...at the time I decided to pursue him, but my brother Otacon told me to let him fulfill his whim… The reason? That he would learn from his own stupidity and see how far he could go, so my meeting Shiko didn't happen as it should have so that I would be able to instruct him..."

The last words spoken by Koru were really stiff, making everyone who listened feel sorry and understand his friend's situation, but then Shintaro responded to his father's account aggressively–So you listened to your dead brother... But you didn't listen to your son's cry for help when he needed you, Eh? Do you think I didn't notice? You were watching us all the time, you witnessed Dreik die at the hands of that damn monster and did nothing! –said the young man very enraged- I-Is that true father? – Lunasin asked with much confusion and sorrow, to which Koru, with his downward gaze and pain, replied to them – Really... I really wish I could have helped... but Otacon and Remy stopped me at all costs…they told me that it must happen so that they would understand the consequences of their mistakes... I really…I really wish I could have gotten in and prevented at all costs that all of you suffered as they did – after hearing these words, Shiko tried to remove the tension from the atmosphere by seeing the positive side of the matter – But... If he had interfered, I don't think any of us here would have had the experience we had…we wouldn't have given life the way we did and we wouldn't have learned everything we know now…we lost a very valuable life, Dreik was loved by everyone here and he was a great person…but... these were the consequences of our own actions– upon hearing this, Shintaro looked at his friend with spite for agreeing with his father – Well... So now you understand how things have been so far...days after this event, everyone arrived, and the days have passed until how they have gone today –mentioned Lunasin to continue advancing as it should...

To be continued...
