After the Flea market date, the expected 3-4 days of radio silence were eliminated as Bo spent more time over the apartment, arguing with Bobbi over egg whisking techniques, Jane pulled him to a nightly reading of a chapter of her books as her training to be a midnight hostess for her imaginary audience and he volunteered as Faith's muse in sketches of him, he loved how her brow frowned and tip of her tongue peeked out when she was in the zone. He understood the rhythm of the apartment. Occasional chaos and soft moments blended in a perfect vibe.
On a day when all of them were off, spread around the living room. Bo sat on the floor, back to the couch looking as he looked like an oversized kid watching old British dudes talk about furniture. Jane rested her head on his left leg, alternating between her book and Bo's show, Faith was curled on the single-seat couch, cloaked by her blanket, she had no interest in the Television as her focus was on her new playlist of #Bo day's a personal playlist she spent constructing when a new emotion he stimulated from her happened. Bobbi sat on his right shoulder to shoulder as she was focused on understanding his interest in English furniture that cost more than her rent. Just like that, the moment was gone with the wind. She darted to the culprit, Faith
"Is this a Carpenter thing, or do you genuinely enjoy watching this?"She asked.
"Both, now hush." He bluntly replied.
"You–" she moved in a blur of red, tackling him to the ground as she straddled his waist, pinning his wrists with the same grip she revved her bike and leaning with their lips nearly touching. Bobbi was staring into his brown eyes, memorising his facial features from the wrinkles on his forehead, the slight split of his eyebrow, his jawline she could outline with her fingers and his clean-shaven face that glowed with it. She was lost in her observations as his eyes drifted to his parted lips, she could feel his breath on her skin, and the warmth spread across her skin, her pupils dilated as her body urged her to fill the space between breaths.
"Bo..." she trailed off as the distance was a touch away, searching his eyes for confirmation. He gave a nod at her, fully at her control. With the approval, she moved down.
"Thump." The soft sound of a pillow hit her face, the moment ruined. Her eyes darted to the culprit, Faith who was giving her the mean look. "Faith, why did you do that?" She asked with warning in her tone.
"Were you really going to make out in front of me, Bobbi?" She said, gritting her teeth." I'm not ending up the last person he smooches Bobbi–stay in your lane." She pointed to her sister with, unwavering look.
Bobbi stood up slowly, chest out as she stalked to Faith with her hands balled into fists." Say that again Faith?" She ordered," I wanna hear you say that to my face. She added.
Faith stood up to her level, foreheads apart as she didn't falter to the threat. "Make me." She responded, baiting Bobbi to act on her bluff. As the room tensed in their standoff. Bo stood up, earning a whine from Jane."Booo~come back you human pillow. "
Bobbi and Faith are just a moment away from brawling were suddenly hoisted up on his shoulders like two logs of timber.
"Eep!"
"Bo–put me down now."
Jane watched in awe at his act, "Oh~my. This is a sight I never thought I'd see." she teased.
Bo is still holding the 2 sisters like weights he looked up to them, "You two promise not to continue ur fit if I let you down?"
"Yes."
"F*ck you, Bo!"
The contrast in responses only fueled his hold as he started moving around the kitchen with them still on his shoulders.
"Bo...seriously I'll stop." Faith pleaded.
"Yeah, Bo I'll behave. " Bobbi murmured as her eyes looked at the ground.
After another lap around the kitchen, he let them down softly. Faith was a bit wobbly as her body regained its centre of gravity. Bo was leaning by the kitchen counter, smug as ever and Bobbi had arms crossed, pouting at the child treatment she got. "If you ever do that again, I'll kick you where the sun doesn't shine." She stated, the threat was fully nailed in his mind.
The apartment went back to the softer vibes of the day, Jane waffling about medieval torture devices as her back rested on his side, Faith had her legs tucked under her, scrolling through his pictures of work projects and scenic images. Bobbi was sitting on the armrest near his head, tapping at her knees and eyes moving from glaring at him to watching the TV."Bo, when are you going to show us ur place?" Bobbi asked.
Jane and Faith looked at him, waiting for his response. "Yeah, where do you live Bo ?" Jane pressed on.
There's no escaping this. He turnt his head to his head to her. " My apartment isn't... people-oriented as it's more of a single-dad core. He stated.
"Perfect, we love new environments," Jane smirked.
" I didn't think you'd agree." He said,rubbing his scalp.
"No excuses,more house touring. "
