Larissa's POV
Papa had always told me that he could get killed at any time. My heart felt like it was being torn in pieces. I have been unable to cry because I can't show any weakness. I'm not sure if I can trust these people though they have been good to me.
The dogs were all around me and we were seated on the floor of the garden.
"Come inside and eat, Larissa." Zoe came out through the back door to call me.
Immediately I stood up and all the dogs followed me still. We all entered and I sat on the dining table. I have noticed that Jenna and Pedro have known each other even before now. Quan was also seated on the dining table.
"Good afternoon." I greeted everyone.
"How have you been holding up?" Quan asked me.
"I have been okay, I'm glad to be alive." I answered him and looked back at the table.
