My first time traveling out of the Knightrose Empire was nerve-wracking, but at the same time, exciting. I was standing by the railing of the private yacht, enjoying the sea view, when I felt Mirxalyn's presence behind me.
"Love the view?" Mirxalyn asked with her usual cold voice as she wrapped her arms around me.
I nodded, leaning on her. Then I expressed my thoughts openly to her, "I do. I thought I wouldn't be able to do anything in my life because you know..."
"I know. Don't say it anymore. You're different now and leave the past in the past." She said softly, but there was something at the edge of her tone as if she was talking to herself and not me.
"Even if it still haunts?" I asked carefully before I faced her.
She nodded, although her eyes were worried. "Even if. The past will stay in the past until you're ready to face it without being afraid of it." Her voice was steady, and she softly smiled at me, tucking my hair behind my ear before saying, "So, while you weren't ready, focus on the present and do what you want."
I leaned on her touch, smiling although I could see a wondering look in her eyes. I could tell she was nervous, but she kept herself together for me. I sighed as I didn't dare to ask until she decided to share it.
We were enjoying the view when we both suddenly got tense. The air in the sea had shifted, and in a few coordinates, there was another boat heading to ours. Mirxalyn, without a word, pulled me back inside the cabin and put her index finger on her lips, looking dead serious. I nodded, and she kissed my lips before heading out, locking the door. It was not long before I heard different footsteps, incoherent voices, which later turned into a heated argument, clattering sounds.
"What's going on out there?" I thought when I felt a strange sting on my hand. I frowned when I saw a red line, then I smelled blood. I sighed, thinking, "They're fighting." Instead of panicking, I grabbed a Shakespearean book and chilled on the bed, waiting. "I hope they're done."
The noise outside lasted for at least thirty minutes, and when it quieted down, the door unlocked. I saw Eliazar entering with a little blood stain on his shirt, obviously, not his. He arched his brow at me, amused before shaking his head.
"What? Do you need anything?" I asked humorlessly, but there was annoyance in them.
He chuckled, pointing behind, saying, "Your wife needs her mate."
I frowned before saying, "She could deal with it."
"Not her temper." He said quickly, grinning before adding, "Go, before she completely loses it."
I sighed and rushed out of the cabin, and saw my wife completely beating one man without remorse. I looked at everyone, and they were not meeting my eyes. I sighed and went to Mirxalyn's side before smacking the back of her head. Everyone gasped, horrified on my behalf, apart from amused Eliazar.
Mirxalyn's eyes were burning, bloody as she glared at me. I shivered, but not in fear; I felt hot there. But I shook the thought off and stood my ground, arching my brow, challenging before saying, "Enough, you're killing him."
"He deserved it." Mirxalyn spat.
"Not as long as I'm here." I refuted, making her click her tongue, moving away.
The captured man laughed, taunting my wife more, "Haha, do it, your highness. Listen to your bitch."
"Hm, bitch when you don't know a thing about me or I know you," I said, trying to read the man.
He grinned as if he knew something that I didn't. "Oh, please, everyone knew the weakest omega from the Moon's Gypys pack. And just because the queen is protecting you doesn't mean you're like her." His giggling voice was malicious, and his eyes filled with desire as he looked me up and down before licking his lips. It was disgusting, and then he reminded me of something he shouldn't have, "You just had a good pussy to fuck senselessly like the rumors say, making me want to jerk off. Haha - Argh!"
He choked his laughter when stabbed in the side, grabbing his rib cage, lifting it a little. He groaned in pain as I watched him with nothing. I leaned closer, taunting darkly, "Look at me and say that again. I dare you." He looked at me despite the pain, and his malicious grin instantly vanished. Then it's my turn to grin, saying, "Now, let me see how you love your dick." His eyes went wide, horrified, and with my wife's blade, I chopped it off before shoving it to his mouth. He gagged, spitting it out before I grabbed his face, forcing him to look at me. He was now afraid of me. I grinned darkly, saying, "That omega was dead, but her pain still burns. If anyone touched her flame, be prepared to burn."
I shoved him away before I walked to my wife. Mirxalyn remained stoic, clenching her jaw, but when I stood in front of her, she pulled me into her arms, inhaling my scent before whispering, "Are you okay?"
"Are you?" I asked back, and she nodded. I pulled away, patting her cheek and glanced over Eliazar's way, commanding darkly, "I don't want their filthy blood in the yacht, kindly, get rid of them."
"As you wish, my lady," Eliazar responded amusingly, before cutting the captured man into parts and threw to the sea.
"And you, come with me," I said, pulling Mirxalyn inside the cabin because I am feeling it. Then out of the blue, I demanded, "Hold me, now, baby."
She frowned as I clung to her arms, asking, "Why?"
"I feel hot. I remember their touches and..." I answered, and before I could even finish, she kissed me, which led to another heated moment.

I woke up alone in bed. I smiled from last night's lovemaking as I stretched and rolled on the bed before I felt a tug on my abdomen. I frowned, thinking if I had eaten something bad last night, but there was nothing. I sighed and wanted to rest some more when I rushed to the bathroom and puked a little. I groaned when Fraye's worried face suddenly flashed in my mind.
I closed my eyes and concentrated, thinking about her before sending a message telepathically, "Honey, are you okay? I felt you were worried about something."
'Oh Darling, I am.'
"Okay, about what?" I asked as I freshened up in the bathroom.
'I felt your heat, and don't worry, I'm not upset having each other last night.'
I sensed something in her tone, although the conversation was via telepathy. Then I asked carefully, "Honey, be honest and tell me what's bothering you?"
'It's not bothering since you're not completely alone. Mirxa is with you, and I'm fine with it.'
"Fraye, spill it, or I won't talk to you," I warned her, and she whined adorably.
'Darling! But fine, I'm worried about your blood thirst.'
I frowned before wondering curiously, "What about it?"
'You had my blood with you, but you still need enough blood for your body to withstand it.'
"Eliazar and Mirxa are with me. I could ask some of them." I reassured her, although I've sensed that there was something else. But I didn't dare to ask because I had to focus on the task at hand at the moment.
'Okay, that's good. I love you, I miss you both.'
"Same here. I love you too." I reciprocated as I finished changing my clothes before adding, "I'll talk to you later, I'm gonna check where my wife is."
'Okay, take care.'
"I will." I responded before I went out of the cabin, looking for Mirxalyn when I saw my personal-free butler, "Eliazar, where is she?"
"Talking to the captain," Eliazar replied, and before I could go up to the captain's cabin, he grabbed my arm gently, stopping me. "She said to wait for her at breakfast, and your breakfast is ready. Over here." I narrowed my eyes, and he shrugged his shoulder, leading the way to the breakfast nook. Then he said, "Don't give me that look, my lady. Just asked your wife about it if it bothers you."
I was at the nook, eating our breakfast while reading my book, when Mirxalyn finally decided to join me. She looked the same. Her posture was still high, her confidence was still intimidating, but not her eyes. They looked tired. By the time she sat beside me, I grabbed her hand, squeezing it for support. She smiled softly and kissed my knuckle.
We ate in silence until I broke the ice by asking, "What did you talk to the captain about for Eliazar to stop me from meeting you there?"
"We talked about the coordinates of the land we're going to visit first." She answered, taking a bite of her English breakfast before continuing, "We're going to the Norwest Tribe first, second the Shadow Howlers Pack, before we head to the Northern Mountain, where the Dragon Scale Tribe was."
"We could travel by land, why choose the sea?" I wondered since the Norwet Tribe and the Shadow Howlers were connected by land, although there were borders and bridges to pass.
"Aside from its faster car, it wasn't allowed to pass through the northern border." She answered, and I agreed before she continued, "And besides, I need the king of the seven seas to give us access to cross his territories, and I did when those pirates tried to raid us."
"Sounds mythical," I said, finishing my meal.
"It is. We're going to visit Mycillas, which is at the border of Mystra Netherwyn and Nocturnal Haven." She clarified, and I felt excited because I'm not going to travel around the night creatures' realm, but also around the mythical creatures' realm. Then she chuckled a little before reminding me, "Don'tget too excited, danger lurks in the journey. Always keep your guard up."
"Sorry, too late." I chuckled as I couldn't hide my excitement for this journey.

The Norwest Tribe was a hybrid tribe that had been living in peace under the protection of my wife after being conquered. Based on the hybrid tribe leader, Shimbal's stories, Mirxalyn had a very hard time conquering their land. As the war between them left both suffering from loss, they decided on a lifetime treaty and a pledge of loyalty to each other, which led to their peace.
Then, after Mirxalyn meets with the tribe leader and checks the security, we head to the Shadow Howlers pack and meet Alpha Theron Nightfang, and I don't like him belittling my wife's capacity because she's a woman.
"Don't you even dare lay a finger on my wife, or you won't live to tell a tale. Ever. Again." I growled deeply, which made them flinch.
"You've a spine. You're in my territory and -!" Theron laughed and was about to warn me, but I didn't let him.
I slammed his arrogant self to the ground in front of this family. Theron tried to get up, but I'm stronger than him. He was pinned down, growling, trying to get away from my grip, and when I did, he tried to attack me, but only to get pinned back on the ground.
"Just because my wife is a woman and a queen, doesn't mean she couldn't rule over wrong men." I spat, tightening my grip on his neck before letting go with a warning, "Do it again, I'll make sure your bones won't heal."
Theron got on his knees, leaning to his wife's support, and narrowing his eyes on me. Then he asked, "What are you?"
I frowned, crossing my arms, pouting. Then I said, "Why does everyone I've met ask the same thing?"
Mirxalyn coughed slightly, trying to hide her amusement but not with Eliazar and Xerxec. They were laughing badly until Eliazar spoke. "Lady Bernila, that's because you're supposed to be just an omega but turned out to be a gamma."
"But, no gamma could pin an Alpha," Xerxec added in as a matter-of-fact tone.
"So, you're telling me an alpha now? Please. That's a joke." I scoffed, not taking the idea seriously, but the way Alpha Theron looked at me, stating differently. Then I sighed, thinking, "Nope. I'm not an alpha. Definitely not. Am I?"
