Chapter 15 - Where Are You?

After a long moment, Baldur restrained himself and pulled back, but Cohen leaned in to chase his lips.

Baldur raised a hand to gently press against Cohen's forehead.

"You're going to turn into an icicle. Get in the car first."

His brow slightly furrowed, Cohen was ushered into the passenger seat.

"Fasten your seatbelt."

He sat motionless.

Baldur Morgan leaned over.

The moment he touched the seatbelt, Cohen clasped the back of his head.

Baldur Morgan let him nibble for a while, then pinched his cheek and asked in a husky voice, "Shall I take you home, or come home with me?"

Cohen Phillips's eyelashes fluttered lightly, his moist eyes reflecting the man's handsome face.

Baldur Morgan's Adam's apple bobbed slightly.

He averted his gaze.

"I'll take you home."

Cohen pressed his lips together and softly stated his choice.

"I want to go home with you."

The look in Baldur Morgan's eyes grew even darker.

"Are you sure?"

He silently tightened his grip on the seatbelt, his evasive tone tinged with a hint of shyness.

"Mmm..."

Baldur Morgan gritted his teeth, closed his eyes for a second, started the car, and sped rapidly towards home.

In the study of the Phillips family home, father and son sat facing each other across the desk, the atmosphere stiff and stagnant.

Manuel Phillips's face was flushed with anger.

"So, you're absolutely unwilling to return to Phillips Corp.?"

Kerry Phillips still wore a smile on his face.

"I want to build YS Pharmaceuticals into something big and strong. Isn't Cade enough for Phillips Corp.?"

"Big and strong? Could you possibly surpass Phillips Corp.? Integrating YS Pharmaceuticals into Phillips Corp. is a win-win outcome! What are you being so stubborn about!"

"YS Pharmaceuticals has been independent from the very beginning and will not be swallowed up by any company."

Smack!

He slammed the table heavily.

"Are you still holding a grudge against me? Still resent me for sending you to Y City back then? That was meant to temper you! If I hadn't done that back then, where would you have had the chance to found YS Pharmaceuticals?!"

Kerry Phillips's eyes turned cold.

"I'm truly grateful for your... well-intended efforts."

"You! You!"

"YS Pharmaceuticals cannot be merged. I don't want to discuss this with you further. I've already contacted a lawyer to start the procedures. The shares, funds, and some real estate left by my mother will all be transferred to our names according to her will."

Manuel Phillips stared intently at him.

"So you came back to fight for the inheritance?"

Kerry Phillips found it ridiculous.

"How can claiming what our mother left for us be called 'fighting'?"

"Kerry..."

He slumped wearily, his tone softening.

"Phillips Corp. is meant for all you brothers. You are the eldest son of the family, capable and responsible for leading Phillips Corp. to greater heights. Internal strife will only make us a laughingstock..."

Kerry Phillips shook his head with a smile.

"Cade is more than enough for Phillips Corp. I believe that with your support and the help of the Reed family, he will certainly become an excellent leader. I just want to do well with YS Pharmaceuticals and leave a sum of money for Cohen. That's enough."

Manuel Phillips opened his mouth, but didn't know what else to say.

"It's late, Dad. Rest early."

Kerry Phillips leisurely exited the study and headed towards Cohen Phillips's room, knocking twice.

The door to the adjacent room opened.

Cade Phillips emerged, his face pale, and said, "Second Brother is gone."

Kerry frowned.

"When did he leave?"

"Half an hour ago."

Cade Phillips clenched his fists.

"Baldur came to pick him up."

Kerry Phillips nodded and turned to go downstairs.

Cade Phillips called out to stop him.

"Big Brother! Are you leaving? Stay the night. I want to talk..."

His expression was indifferent.

"I have an early meeting tomorrow, afraid I won't make it in time. I won't stay."

"Big Brother! You... do you hate me?"

"I'm leaving now."

Cade Phillips stood on the second floor, watching his retreating back leave without the slightest hesitation.

He gritted his teeth, feeling both wronged and resentful.

Why did you have to come back?

The moment Kerry Phillips stepped outside, his face darkened as he called Cohen Phillips.

Beep beep beep...

In Baldur Morgan's private villa, within a dim room, a phone lying on the carpet beside the bed lit up and rang.

In the bedroom, Cohen Phillips was gently kissing Baldur Morgan's face.

The incessant ringing of the phone annoyed him.

He rolled over, picked up the phone from the floor, and answered the call.

"Bro..."

Kerry Phillips yelled, "Where are you?!"

"I'm at... Baldur's place..."

"Cohen Phillips! You, you, you..."

"Brother, I'm 23 years old."

"You haven't been together with him for long at all!"

"You should rest early. I'm hanging up."

Kerry Phillips listened to the dial tone, hopping mad.

When he called back, the phone was already switched off...

After hanging up, Cohen Phillips tossed the phone aside and turned back to seek Baldur Morgan's lips.

Baldur Morgan grasped his hand and chuckled lightly.

"And you told me to be more restrained. Who's the one stirring things up now?"

"Mmm..."

Cohen Phillips hummed and whined, his eyes slightly closed.

"Just kissing?"

Baldur Morgan only kissed him.

"Mhm."

"... Fine."
