I wasn't believing a single word he said.
I walked to the door and yanked it open.
"Now, if you're done, please leave. Seeing your face early in the morning makes me want to puke."
I twisted my expression into the most dramatic disgust I could manage.
He only looked amused—of course he did—before stepping out without arguing.
The moment the door clicked shut, I released a long breath and sat back on the bed, rubbing my temples.
Another knock.
I groaned.
"If you're here to annoy me again, just lea—"
"Your Highness, I have brought tea and snacks for you."

My brows knit.
Why is she here?
Didn't she just arrive at the palace? Why is she already going to such lengths to serve me?
Before I could answer, she opened the door herself and stepped inside.
My jaw tightened.
"I didn't say you could come in, Lady Belleah."
"Oh, you didn't?" she asked innocently. "I heard you say 'come in.' Must be the morning confusion."
