Chapter 39 - The Six Levels of Wizardry

What are the ranks of magicians?

Everyone fell silent upon hearing this. Magicians have levels?

Some of the older students know that the school has exams; there is a regular magician exam in fifth grade and an ultimate magician exam in seventh grade.

Is this the level of a magician?

Dumbledore, sitting in the front row, watched Jack with great interest. He knew that the level Jack was referring to was definitely not something like an ordinary mage or an ultimate mage.

Who knows what shocking things this guy will say next!

Minister of Magic Fudge suddenly had a bad feeling, as if the wizard level that Jack mentioned would have a negative impact.

However, he didn't know what would be a bad influence, and driven by curiosity, he did nothing but want to hear what Jack had to say.

"Let's talk about the classification of combat magic. There are six levels in total."

They are classified as Grade E, Grade D, Grade C, Grade B, Grade A, and Grade S, respectively.

The Three Bodies Technique is an E-rank combat magic, and it's the only magic you can learn at this stage.

The higher the level of combat magic, the more magic power it consumes, and the greater its power.

However, starting with D-rank magic, you need to reach the corresponding magician level before you can learn from me.

All the students were stunned. Six levels, from the lowest E level to the highest S level!

The students were all amazed, as ordinary magic doesn't have such detailed levels.

I don't know what the point of such detailed level division is, but it just seems really impressive!

The professors and staff of the Ministry of Magic in the front row had a different focus than the students; they only had one question on their minds.

How many types of combat magic are there?

It can be divided into six levels!

There are hundreds of ordinary spells that aren't ranked, so what right do you have to rank a newly developed combat spell?

Wouldn't people laugh at us if this got out?

This amused Eden. He had heard Gadli say that there were only a few dozen types of combat magic, divided into six levels, meaning that each level had only a few types of magic.

In addition to offensive magic, combat magic also includes support magic and defensive magic.

If we break it down further, there might only be two or three attack spells per level.

What's the point of breaking up?

You need to reach a certain level of magic to learn it. You should know that almost any ordinary magic can be learned, and there are no restrictions.

Only some forms of dark magic, and the most harmful magic, are difficult to learn.

Jack is still too young! Let's teach him slowly after we recruit him into the Magic Bureau!

Fudge scoffed at this. "Is that all?"

Jack paused for a moment and then said, "Next, let's talk about the levels of mages. I will also divide mages into six levels."

They are respectively: Apprentice Magician, Novice Magician, Intermediate Magician, Advanced Magician, Special Grade Magician, and Shadow Grade Magician.

Anyone with magical power within them is an apprentice mage and can learn the Three Bodies Technique.

After an apprentice mage has fully mastered the Three Bodies Technique and passed the examination, he/she becomes a qualified novice mage.

After mastering the Three Bodies Technique, the magical power flowing within one's body should be as thick as a finger.

After becoming a novice mage, you can learn D-rank combat magic, which includes offensive spells!

Once a novice mage has acquired a certain level of knowledge and skill, they can take the intermediate mage exam.

At this moment, the magical power flowing through the body of a novice mage should be as thick as an arm.

The intermediate-level magician exam consists of three types: written exam, comprehensive ability exam, and strength exam.

When the magical power flowing through your body is as thick as a stream, you can participate in the examination for advanced magicians.

As for the assessments for advanced, special, and shadow-level mages, we'll discuss that once some of you become intermediate-level mages!

Jack divided magicians into six levels and quantified the amount of magic power in each level.

Everyone was watching to see which level of magic the person possessed.

Even the professors and members of the Ministry of Magic in the front row were observing the magic flowing through their bodies.

However, Jack did not mention the strength of Special Grade and Shadow Grade mages. The professors only knew that their strength had reached the level of Advanced Mages, but they did not know whether they had reached the level of Special Grade Mages.

Unlike the professors, the students below were not as composed. After observing each other, they began to communicate with the people next to them.

"I am a mid-level mage. And you?"

"I'm also an intermediate mage! But I feel like I'll be an advanced mage soon!"

"Holy crap! Are you kidding me?! Why are you guys so powerful while I'm just a beginner mage?!"

"We just have enough magic power; we haven't been tested yet. We're still apprentice magicians!"

"I just want to learn the Three Bodies Technique as soon as possible, become a novice mage, and learn D-rank combat magic!"

"Yeah! If E-rank combat magic is this powerful, D-rank must be even more amazing! I can't wait!"

While everyone was discussing this, Jack suddenly spoke up:

"By the way, if any student performs well, I will also reward them with combat magic, without being restricted by the magic level. For example, today's 13 students will each receive a C-level combat magic!"
