The next morning Mirabel was still sleeping when Esther brought breakfast for her in bed.
Esther made tea and egg. She woke Mirabel up to eat.
You don't have to. Mirabel said to Esther. I want to. This is to apologize for chasing you out of my house. I'm really sorry. Esther said.
Thank you. Mirabel replied Esther and had a taste of the tea. She drank the tea and ate the egg.
But after she finished eating it. She didn't understand herself again.
Her body started behaving abnormal. Before she knew it, she slept off.
Immediately it was 2:00PM. Jemima started calling Mirabel's phone to know if she had start coming home so that they could prepare and go to the fashion show happening that day together.
Mirabel didn't pick her call. So Jemima concluded she was on the bike already. She sat at home and gently waited for Mirabel. Mirabel didn't come back home after thirty minutes.
Jemima got worried and called her again. She still didn't pick up the call.
What is happening? Is this girl purposely ignoring my calls? Or did she go to the show from Esther's house? Jemima asked herself.
But all her clothes are here. She won't even go to the show without coming here first.
Jemima decided to wait a little more. Immediately it was 3PM. The time for the red carpet she started calling Mirabel again to know where she is.
Mirabel didn't answer her call. She had tried her best. She decided to dress up and go for the fashion show alone.
Meanwhile the CEO and the rest of the staffs of Elite Fashion House has already arrived ICC(International Conference Centre) Enugu for the biggest fashion show in Enugu.
The CEO was becoming angry that Mirabel has not yet showed up.
Where would she have been? I told her to come here 2:30PM. And this is 3:03PM. She is not yet here. The CEO said.
I told you that she was working for our competitor- our major competitor for that matter, I warned you. You won't say I didn't warn you. The HR said to the CEO.
The Red Carpet has already started. Mr Chris called The CEO to know if everyone was ready. Yes. The CEO replied.
What about Mirabel? Is she there? Mr Chris asked the CEO. She stepped out but she is coming back soon. The CEO lied. Good. Good. I am coming with my colleague soon to see you at the back stage before the major event. Mr Chris said. It's alright sir. The CEO said before hanging up the call.
Why do you have to lie to him? You shouldn't have lied to him. The HR said to the CEO.
The CEO ignored her and called Mirabel again. Mirabel still didn't pick up the call.
Sir I think you should call Jemima the receptionist. She stays with Mirabel and she is also not here yet. One of the staffs said to the CEO.
Give me her number please. The CEO said. The staff gave him Jemima's number and immediately he called Jemima.
Jemima picked almost immediately the call came through, this became a relief for the CEO. Hello Jemima. The CEO said. Hello Sir. Jemima replied. Of course she know it's the CEO; every staff has the CEO number.
Why are you girls not here yet? Did you forget that today is the fashion show? The CEO asked. I'm coming right away sir. I'm almost close. Jemima lied to the CEO. She was still at her house.
Where is Mirabel? Give her the Phone and why is she not picking her call? The CEO asked Jemima.
Is she not there yet? She left some minutes ago. Jemima lied again. She is not here. If you can reach her, tell her to get to ICC before 4PM. The CEO said before hanging up the call.
At that moment Jemima knew she had to go to Esther's house. It was already 3:49PM.
She came outside her street stopped a bike and headed to Esther's street.
She has never been there before but Mirabel had described the house for her.
Main Land, Mainland. The Bike drove her to the street. So she started asking around for the house number.
It took her about 10minutes before she could locate Esther's house.
When she finally found the house. She went there and knocked. No one opened the door for her.
She had to stay there and call Mirabel's number. The phone started ringing. She knew that Mirabel was definitely inside.
Jemima then tried to Open the door and surprisingly it was open. It wasn't lock.
She followed the ringing of the phone and saw Mirabel sleeping peacefully on the bed.
Around 4:09PM. Mirabel was sleeping why she should have been at the biggest fashion show of their company's career.
Mirbel! jemima called. She didn't wake up. Mirabel! She called again. Mirabel didn't wake up. She angrily started shaking her up to wake up but Mirabel still didn't Wake up.
Mirabel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jemima screamed her name. She didn't wake up.
Jemima angrily went to the kitchen and got a bucket of water..
She came back into the bedroom and poured Mirabel the bucket of water on the bed. And immediately Mirabel w0ke up.
