"No one can stop me from winning the Verities Award!" Dr. Animo snarled through clenched teeth, fists tightening with fury. "Attack! Kill him!"
The Tyrannosaurus rex roared skyward, its powerful legs pounding forward as it smashed through the desks blocking its path. With its jaws gaping wide, it lunged straight at Swampfire, fangs glinting with murderous intent.
"Bring it on!"
Swampfire raised his palm, unleashing a blazing fireball that shot forward with tremendous speed. The attack burned through the air, carrying scorching heat and destructive power as it slammed into the T. rex's massive head.
BOOM!
An explosion rang out. The impact ripped open the dinosaur's flesh, and the sharp scent of charred meat filled the air.
But the T. rex was clearly far stronger than the Spinosaurus or the Mammoth. Enduring the agony tearing through its skull, it roared and charged again, ferocity radiating from its every step.
"What a stubborn beast."
Swampfire grabbed Dr. Kelly by the arm and darted past the creature's bulk toward the exit. In a sealed environment like this, igniting swamp gas could cause a devastating explosion—too dangerous for everyone inside.
"Quick! Chase it down! Devour that plant-man!" Dr. Animo bellowed.
The Tyrannosaurus slowly turned its enormous body. Its tail swept through the air, smashing desks and chairs to splinters. It roared furiously toward Swampfire at the door, then kicked off with its powerful hind legs and thundered after him.
Outside, Swampfire set Dr. Kelly down.
"This place is too dangerous. Leave, now," Swampfire said, his tone calm but commanding.
Dr. Kelly nodded, still stunned, and took off running. But halfway through, he stopped and glanced back, worry flashing in his eyes.
That was a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Could even an alien really defeat something like that?
The thought lingered as he pulled out his phone and hurriedly called the police...
...
Inside, Swampfire had already reengaged the rampaging T. rex.
"ROAR!"
The monstrous beast swung its massive tail, tearing through the air like a wrecking ball. Swampfire dodged just in time as the strike smashed through the wall, scattering debris everywhere.
With a powerful leap, Swampfire clenched his glowing green fist and slammed it down hard on the T. rex's neck.
The dinosaur howled in agony, its eyes bloodshot with rage. The pain drove it into a berserk frenzy, and it attacked relentlessly, snapping and clawing with unstoppable fury.
At that moment, Ben and the others burst onto the scene.
They froze at the sight of the brutal clash between Swampfire and the giant beast. Grandpa Max's sharp gaze swept across the room, landing on Dr. Animo—alone, sitting on the floor, clutching the Verities Award tightly to his chest. His bloodshot eyes gleamed with madness.
"The Verities Award... finally belongs to me!" he shouted.
BOOM!
Suddenly, the massive Tyrannosaurus was hurled backward by a fiery explosion from Swampfire. The beast slammed into the wall behind Dr. Animo, crashing into rubble and fragments.
Dr. Animo snapped out of his daze, only to see three figures now standing before him.
"Not good!"
Grandpa Max reacted instantly, lunging forward to grab the DNA Transmodulator from Animo's head.
Startled, Dr. Animo stumbled back in panic. He glanced toward the wounded T. rex, his mind racing, teeth clenched in frustration.
There has to be a way to defeat that alien...
His eyes darted across the hall—then locked onto something. A sly grin crept across his face.
In the corner stood an ornate aquarium filled with vivid green aquatic plants. A bright red king crab sat inside, its sharp claws snapping as it tore pieces of the plants and stuffed them into its mouth.
"You're the one!" Dr. Animo said with a sinister grin.
"Don't even think about it!"
Grandpa Max immediately realized what Dr. Animo was planning and lunged forward, reaching for the DNA Transmodulator on his head. If another mutated creature joined the fight, things would become far more dangerous.
"Just you wait—no one can stop me!"
Dr. Animo shouted, turning the DNA Transmodulator toward the king crab inside the fish tank.
Whoosh!
A blazing fireball shot across the air, carrying scorching heat as it hurtled straight toward him.
Dr. Animo barely had time to react. He dove aside, but the explosion's shockwave sent him tumbling backward, slamming him hard into the ground. Swampfire's attack left him covered in soot, his hair singed and messy—he was lucky to still be standing.
Ignoring the pain, Dr. Animo grit his teeth and slammed his hand against a button on his helmet. A beam of crimson light burst forth, the Mutant Ray striking the king crab dead center.
Crackle...
The red king crab began to swell like a balloon, its body rapidly expanding until it shattered the tank into a storm of glass shards.
Its shell gleamed with razor-sharp barbs, and its eight legs—each as thick as a spear—stabbed into the floor, sparking on impact and leaving deep pits in the tiles.
A mutant king crab—massive, terrifying, and radiating an aura of pure menace—now stood before them, its presence as imposing as a heavily armored war machine.
"Only I, Dr. Animo, could create such a miracle!" Dr. Animo laughed maniacally, then pointed toward Swampfire. "Attack him!"
The mutant crab screeched and charged forward.
At that moment, a black rat scurried past Dr. Animo's feet. Without a second thought, he zapped it with another beam, mutating it into a huge, hideous creature.
Dr. Animo leapt onto its back, towering over Grandpa Max and the others trying to approach.
"Whoa!" Ben froze in shock.
"Ew!" Gwen gagged, nearly throwing up at the sight of the grotesque giant rat.
"Run!"
Grandpa Max grabbed them both and bolted in the opposite direction. Against monsters like these, they stood no chance.
Boom!
Swampfire raised his palm and unleashed a volley of fireballs. They rained down like a fiery storm, hammering against the mutant crab.
Clang, clang, clang!
The fireballs exploded on impact, but only tiny sparks flickered across the creature's shell before vanishing. The attacks left no visible damage.
Swampfire's expression darkened.
He had to admit—Dr. Animo's brilliance in genetic engineering was remarkable. If his mind hadn't been twisted by greed, he could have earned not only the Verities Award but perhaps even a Nobel Prize.
Still, genius or not, this monster had to be stopped.
Ordinary fireballs weren't enough. He needed to use explosive force—but with Ben and the others still inside, he couldn't risk detonating it here. He had to lure the creature outside first.
Raising both hands above his head, Swampfire gathered his energy. A massive fireball formed between his palms, radiating intense heat before crashing down with a thunderous explosion.
The blazing blast slammed into the mutant crab, forcing it to raise its blood-red claws in defense. The impact scorched its shell black, steam rising from the heat.
By the time it steadied itself, Swampfire was already sprinting out of the hall.
The mutant crab's eyes glowed red with fury as it roared and gave chase, its enormous legs tearing through the floor.
"Firebreather, you won't escape me!"
With a crazed grin, Dr. Animo spurred his mutant rat forward and charged after him...
