The drive back to the penthouse was quiet, but not in an awkward way. Bri sat in the passenger seat, her phone glowing softly in her hands as she kept scrolling mindlessly. She was bored by the silence, but din't want to talk to William because it would distract him as he was driving.
When her phone finally rang with texts from The Survivors, she was grateful to have a light conversation to keep her busy before they arrived home.
Anna:
Bri, have you guys left the club yet? 😩
I'm so sorry for what happened today, hope you're OK?
Bri:
Yes Anna, I'm ok, no need to worry. William and I just left a few minutes ago.
Have you arrived home?
Anna:
Not yet home, but almost.
What happened after we left you guys there? Did Matthew come back?
Bri:
Nothing much really, but you were right.
Kate was there, you just din't see her. She was sitting at their table watching everything.
She tried being mean to me again.
