Kaitansha HQ——
Zan was busy going through files inside the Director's desk when Zeku burst into the room. "Zan! The Seventh has been captured!"
Zan looked up. "What?"
"It was the Eighth. He used his Herald powers and turned against his comrades!"
"Shit, where is he?"
"No clue. We must warn the Sixth!"
Zan followed Zeku into the hallway, but surprisingly, Hayate and Marin were waiting there for him. Zan stared at them, confused. "You two would dare come back?"
"Well, this is my building," Hayate pointed out. "And you are standing next to my office."
"You mean my office," Zan corrected.
"Not for long."
Thugs swarmed the room, led by Venus and Stone, and Marin nudged Hayate. "I can handle the small fry."
"Good. Then leave the heads of the snake to me."
Zeku rushed forward, preparing to touch Hayate's face. "Jugen-Metsusha: Shōkyo-gata Shī!"
Hayate swiped his arm to the right, causing a surge of void energy to appear. "Jugen-Mahōshi: Kokū no Gaitō!"
A pair of void wings formed around him, blocking Zeku's attack. With a wave of his arms, the wings unleashed a powerful void shockwave that sent Zeku flying back.
"Come on, brother," Zan scoffed. "You can do better than that."
He snapped his fingers. "Jugen-Metsusha: Rei Myaku Shuryūdan!"
Bombs formed in mid-air, zipping toward Hayate, but the Director covered himself with his wings, allowing the bombs to bounce off. A dark wave of energy circled Zan. "Jugen-Metsusha: Kyūkyoku Seimei Shōmetsuki!"
The wave erased all the nearby walls, showing the rooms beneath. Various thugs got erased as Hayate shielded Marin.
"Boss!" Venus called out. "You're taking out our own people!"
Zan ignored her as he set more waves in Hayate's direction, but Hayate countered by forming his Void Capsule around Zan and Zeku, slamming both men into the ground.
Marin took the opportunity to clap both her hands together. "Jugen-Tōshi: Mayoikaze no Ōgi!"
Two fans formed out of thin air, and both Venus and Stone watched as Marin swung them hard enough to send both them and the remaining thugs flying out of the building and onto the roofs nearby.
"That takes care of the stragglers," Marin commented.
"Good," Hayate replied. "Now for these two."
Zan and Zeku both stood side by side, getting into fighting stances as Hayate and Marin did the same. Zeku lunged for Marin, but she flipped over him, slashing him in the chest with her fans. Zan was busy firing his gun at Hayate, but Hayate used his Void Cloak to absorb the attacks.
"Why isn't it working?" Zan exclaimed.
"You can't erase the Void of Space," Hayate explained. "We can't exist without it."
Zan unleashed another dark wave, but Hayate blocked it with his cloak, using his wings to smack Zan hard in the face. Zan watched as Hayate's wings extended.
"What are you?"
"The Director of the Kaitansha. And when you and your thug group decided to ruin things, you awakened me."
He flapped his wings, causing a void energy to envelop both Zan and Zeku's bodies. They rose into the air and flew backwards.
"Deal with the Director!" Zeku ordered.
"His power's such an annoyance! You do it!"
Marin slashed them both in the arms, forcing Zan to kick her away. "I'll handle the Vice-Director!"
Zeku slammed both hands on the ground. "Jugen-Metsusha: Senmetsu-gata Esu!"
Cracks began to form in the floor as it began to crumble apart. Marin and Hayate both jumped back as the building disappeared little by little. "If we don't do something, they'll erase everything!"
"I'll handle it! Stay back, Marin!"
Zan fired bullets at the two, narrowly missing. Hayate rushed forward, void energy emitting from his body. "Sorry, you two! But as Director, my duty is to protect the Kaidanchō!"
The area around him started to shift. "Jugen-Mahōshi: Hatenaki Kyomu."
Zan and Zeku were pulled into a void domain, with the moon visible behind them. Both brothers looked around, confused.
"What is this place?" Zeku questioned.
"I dunno. Stay sharp," Zan told him.
Hayate appeared before them, his appearance that of a Void-like knight. Both brothers backed away.
"What the hell?"
With a stab of his blade, the domain shook, and when the two returned to the real world, they noticed they were missing both their arms.
"Gah! I can't feel my hands!"
"That Director did something to us! That bastard!"
Hayate reappeared, trapping them in a void capsule. "It isn't often I must show my hand. Come, you two. Time to join the Huntress."
The capsule disappeared, and as it did, Airi and Rio reunited with the two.
"We've done our part," Airi told him.
"Yes, you did," Hayate nodded. "We will see to it that your efforts shall be rewarded."
"It's all up to Yūto now…" Rio muttered. "Hope he doesn't die."
Minato Ward—-
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
Omariro evaded the wreckage as the Sixth's fibers tore through every structure in sight. As he landed, fibers rose from the ground, wrapping around his body and burning him with poison.
"Jugen-Kaiseisha: Cursed Immortality!"
The damage healed itself as Omariro's body grew slightly older. The Sixth landed in front of him, holding her head in her hand. "Not fair! Not fair! NOT FAIR! You'll be mine alone, even if I have to KILL YOU!"
She formed a portal, reappearing in mid-air. "Jugen-Daraku: Hakai no Chūshaki!"
Multiple syringes descended from the skies, shattering roads, cars, trees, and everything they landed between. Gray beams fired from their tips, nearly severing Omariro in two.
As Omariro avoided them, the Sixth reappeared behind him, riding atop one of the syringes as she chased after him. Omariro teleported from roof to roof, only stopping to shatter her syringe in half. Mirei slid off it just as Omariro aimed a barrage of blades at her.
"Jugen-Kaiseisha: Ketsubaku no Shikai!"
A gray link emerged between her and Omariro, and as he swung his blade at her, she predicted his attack, kicking the blade out of his arm. She tried to strike him, but he grabbed her elbow, crushing her gauntlet before pushing her back with the palm of his hand.
Mirei effortlessly regenerated the damage, evading a light blast from Omariro as she dropped another syringe from the sky, sending them both flying off the roof.
Before Omariro could get up, fibers wrapped around his body, attempting to poison him, but he destroyed them with a slash of his wrist. He reformed his blade, blocking the orbs that came for him before slashing at Mirei, who managed to block with her gauntlet.
"Jugen-Kaiseisha: Nenrei Sōsa no Kessei!"
The field around her erased Omariro's right arm and his blade to dust, and sure enough, his body regenerated, causing Mirei to kick him back.
"You may be immortal," she noted. "But I'll just force you to age until you can't walk! Then you'll be mine forever! And ever! And EVER!"
With a feral scream, orbs, syringes, and disintegration fields swarmed Omariro, but he formed his circular blade and cleaved through it all.
The Sixth moved faster than the eye could see, appearing next to Omariro and slamming her fist into the ground. "Argh!"
A white field the size of multiple city blocks formed, aging Omariro to dust. Omariro reformed, once again older.
Mirei chuckled. "At least that means I'll never lose you. Now COME HERE."
Her voice became more distorted as she lunged for him but he bound her with golden whips before opening his prison, both of which she used her field to erase.
Omariro formed his bow and fired arrows at her, two of them striking her in the shoulder. The Sixth ripped them out with no regard, sending orbs rolling at her Master.
Camera crews recorded from a helicopter as they took in the damage. "Breaking news! Minato Ward is being destroyed in real time! The Legendary Kaidanchō is facing the threat, but more than half of the ward is gone!"
One of the reporters pointed to the Sixth. "What is that?"
"I don't know! Some kind of armored creature!"
The Sixth attempted to fire an orb at the helicopter, but Omariro shot it down with his bow. As the two resumed their clash, the cameras caught wind of a boy rushing toward the scene.
"Who is THAT?"
"Those clothes, is he from Dokkōdan?"
Yūto slid through the rubble, watching through the dust as both the Sixth and Omariro exchanged devastating blows.
"Seriously, Yūto?" he questioned. "Why did I choose to help? No. I need to get away from these crazies. That's all. No one's stronger than Mr. Nyugawa, right?"
An orb sailed over his head. "Shit! I'm so dead!"
As the dust cleared, both the Sixth and Omariro noticed Yūto standing there, trembling. Mirei turned in his direction. "Yūto. Such a good boy. Have you come to help me?"
"Y—-yes, Ms. Nurse."
"Is that so? Then why are you just standing there, shaking like a timid rat?"
With a surge of energy, she appeared before him, grabbing him by the neck. "You've betrayed me. You and Han."
"What? No—-!"
"Don't patronize me, whelp! My lifeforce is linked to him! Did you think I couldn't hear every word you said?"
"Well, in that case…"
An ice-cream truck began to form around her. "Jugen-Kōbisha: Cursed Manifestation Cage!"
She dropped him as the truck held her in place, restraining her with shackles. "What madness is this?"
Omariro put a hand on Yūto's head. "Boy picked right side. Boy smart."
"So, um…does this clear me of all my crimes?"
"No."
"Aww."
The Sixth broke free of the truck, a look of rage on her face. "Fine! I'll spill your guts and then I'll take Omariro!"
She attempted to crush him with a syringe, but Omariro pulled Yūto out of the way. "Whoa! Since when could she do that?"
"Focus, boy!"
"Sorry!"
Two fields appeared around her arms, aging everything in her path as she walked forward. She attempted to charge at them, but Omariro teleported them both away.
By the time they landed, fibers rose from the streets, lashing at them like snakes as Yūto cowered, backing up. "Shit!"
Omariro cut them all down. "Now, boy!"
As the Sixth burst from the ground, Yūto formed a large trailer around her, which she rammed straight into the roof of.
"That should hold her—-!"
THUD.
The Sixth used her free arm to punch straight through the metal as restraints dragged her back. "YŪTO!"
By the time she ripped her way out of the trap, Omariro was nowhere to be found, and Yūto was backing away. "Where?"
She instantly caught up to him, holding him up. "Where did he go?"
"I don't know, honest!"
She smashed Yūto into a wall. "You ungrateful little shit! Who took you in when you had no one? Who raised and guided you for years? Who taught you how to use that power you'd dare strike me with?"
"Sorry, Ms. Nurse, but I want out!"
"That so? Then I'll be happy to oblige."
A gray field formed around her hand, and as she prepared to strike Yūto, she heard a noise behind her, and she turned to find Omariro. "Master."
She tossed Yūto aside. "I knew you couldn't resist. Come back to me, Master. Don't make me hurt you."
The Sixth took a step forward, but Omariro snapped his fingers. "Girl reign done. Girl will repent."
She looked above her head, where a portal was waiting. "No, NO—-!"
"Jugen-Kōbisha: Forbidden Prison."
The portal dragged the Herald through, closing behind her. The dust settled, and Yūto looked around. "Where'd she go?"
"Proper place."
Omariro surveyed the damage as the helicopter landed, with reporters swarming him.
"Mr. Nyugawa!"
"Can you tell us what you did?"
"Who was that psycho woman?"
Omariro turned, picking up a chunk of his house's roof as the rest of the Kaidanchō and his students rejoined him.
"Master!" Zaria called out.
"You're okay!" Rika exclaimed, relieved.
Nonoka noticed Yūto. "Master, what's HE doing here?"
Omariro held up the chunk of the roof, a weathered look on his face. "…"
"…Home destroyed."
