"YOU. OBEY. ME."
The sound wasn't sound. It sounded like it struggled with human speech.
Simon shook his head, breath shallow. "No. No, I—"
"YOU. OBEY ME. THAL'RAVOK. IN. SEVEN. RING. HELL." Louder now, more forceful. The walls groaned, the bulbs above him flickered violently.
The room grew colder now, Simon wheezing for breath. Simon, with his back against the door, he clawed at it like it could open, like it could save him.
It raised its hands again, but this time to grab Simon.
"WE. WANT. YOU." It shrieked, getting closer with the shadow that crept on the floor like spilled ink.
And that was when his body moved before his mind could catch up. Again.
Both hands shot up against his face, a weak shield against the impossible. As if defending himself from being grabbed.

BOOM
A blinding flash of light exploded through the room. Thunder and lightening followed instantly, rattling floorboard.
