Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Aura Farming

"Oh my god, oh my god, I am so going to die," Shota screamed in his mind as he stared at Minato Namikaze, the Yellow Flash of Konoha, and his three students. "Let's just hope my ability stops him from teleporting, or I am so screwed."

Shota wasn't new to this world. He was a reincarnated person, thrown into the shinobi world with memories of another life.

He had been on countless missions, fought in the war, and faced dangers most on Earth couldn't imagine. But he was still human. And no human, unless they were Madara Uchiha or Hashirama Senju, could stand before Minato Namikaze without fear.

The man was a legend, a force of nature. Shota's heart pounded. 'Let's just hope my words touched him somehow,' he thought. 'He might have looked soft in the anime, but this guy killed a thousand Iwa shinobi without mercy.'

He was right to worry. Minato had seen Shota's ability to cancel chakra and deemed it too dangerous to let live.

A kid with a dojutsu that could nullify the core of a shinobi's strength was a threat to Konoha, to the entire shinobi world.

The scroll they were after, a map of hidden Iwa bases was nothing compared to the chaos this ability could unleash.

Minato's mission was clear. It was to retrieve the scroll. But now, faced with Shota's power, he weighed a darker choice whether to eliminate the threat or not.

Yet something held Minato back. The prophecy that he was told by his sensei.

Shota's mission had seemed simple at first. He was part of a Suna team three chunin and a jonin tasked with stealing a scroll from an Iwa squad.

The scroll held the locations of secret Iwa bases scattered across the Land of Earth. They'd succeeded in taking it. The next step was to deliver it to Suna.

'Easy,' Shota had thought. A piece of cake.

Then Konoha showed up. And not just any Konoha team, Minato Namikaze and his students.

'Talk about bad luck,' Shota thought, his stomach twisting.

The fight had started before Shota could blink. Minato had decided to go after the jonin and the other two members of his team.

Minato had thrown a three-pronged kunai earlier before the fight between Shota and Minato started, towards the other Suna shinobi.

Now, he vanished in a flash, reappearing behind the Suna jonin. A Rasengan spun in Minato's hand, glowing with raw chakra, ready to end the fight in one blow.

Shota reacted on instinct. His eyes locked onto Minato, activating his dojutsu. The Rasengan flickered and vanished, Minato's chakra sealed away.

Minato didn't flinch. He pivoted, slamming a fist into the jonin's chest, then drove a knee into his gut. The jonin gasped, dropping the scroll he'd been clutching.

Minato snatched it, his eyes scanning it in an instant. His face darkened. "A decoy," he muttered. His gaze shifted to Shota, realization dawning. "The real scroll must be with the kid."

Minato kicked the jonin in the neck, sending him sprawling, unconscious but alive. He didn't kill him, tensions between Konoha and Suna had eased, and Minato wasn't here to restart a war. But his eyes locked onto Shota, calculating. 'The boy will be troublesome,' he thought.

Shota, still holding his gaze, glanced at his own hand, the one Minato had used to form the Rasengan.

He tilted his head, his voice carrying across the battlefield. "Was that your signature jutsu? The one everyone says you can use without hand signs?" He paused, his tone almost casual. "It didn't seem like much."

Minato's brow twitched, caught between surprise and amusement. Shota straightened his hand, focusing on it as if studying something.

Minato's eyes narrowed. 'Is he trying to use Rasengan after seeing it once?' he thought. 'I don't know if I should be insulted that he's attempting a jutsu that took me three years to create or smile at his confidence.'

Behind the mud wall Kakashi had raised, Obito snorted, his voice loud enough to carry. "Is he trying to use Sensei's jutsu by just looking at it? What an idiot—" His words cut off, his eyes bulging.

A glowing blue orb of chakra spun in Shota's hand. A perfect Rasengan, formed on what looked like his first try. Minato's jaw tightened. Kakashi's eyes widened. Rin and Obito stared, frozen. Even the injured Suna shinobi behind Shota gaped, their pain forgotten for a moment.

Shota grinned inwardly. 'Alright, not going to lie. I just aura farmed,' he thought. He hadn't actually copied the Rasengan on the spot. He'd been training to master it for four years, grinding in secret, using his knowledge from his past life to piece it together. But to everyone else, it looked like he'd seen Minato's jutsu and replicated it in seconds.

'What a drag,' he thought, sighing. 'This is going to bring way too much attention to me. But I had to do it. If I need to use Rasengan later, I can at least say I copied it from Minato.'

Attention was the last thing Shota wanted. His dojutsu or whatever it was, kekkei genkai, quirk, special ability, already made him a target.

In Suna, people whispered about him, watched him, expected things from him. He didn't like it. Fame brought trouble, and trouble brought danger. But he couldn't stop using his ability. It was his trump card, his edge in a world where survival demanded every advantage.

His knowledge of the Naruto anime, combined with his Erasure ability, was all he had to stay alive on missions like this.

Minato, still processing what he'd seen, felt a mix of shock and unease. He had just seen a barely 10 year old kid use a jutsu that he had taken years to create and master.

'Not only a dangerous kekkei genkai, but he's a prodigy too,' he thought. 'This kid is making it hard for me to let him walk away.' A wry smile tugged at his lips.

The kid was a paradox for him, dangerous enough to demand elimination, yet compelling enough to make Minato question that choice. Minato sighed.

The Suna shinobi behind Shota exchanged glances, their thoughts racing. "He was this good?" one whispered. "We knew about his kekkei genkai, but he's got talent in ninjutsu too?" another muttered. The other one nodded, "We need to tell Kazekage-sama about this. Well that is..... If we get out of here alive, he'll be an even stronger asset to Suna."
