Chapter 117 - Chapter 117: Arrogant little sh¡t

Shota moved along with the other Anbu near the auction venue. He had spotted a young arrogant noble with exactly four samurai guards that was going to be attending the auction and was openly bragging about it.

Only the most influential and rich people were invited to it afterall.

The noble looked spoiled and full of himself, walking with his chest puffed out like he owned the entire land. His guards were Samurais.

When the noble lord decided to take a bathroom break, he stepped away from his guards for a short time. The four samurai stayed behind, standing guard near the carriage.

Operation Otto used his genjutsu prowess to surround the surroundings with a subtle genjutsu that would just change the surroundings to look naturally and so that no one would notice what was happening.

It did not take Shota much effort. He activated his Erasure kekkei genkai, nullifying any chakra the samurai might have tried to use to fight back.

Then his binding cloth shot out from his sleeves. It wrapped tightly around the four men, pinning their arms and legs. Before they could shout or fight back, Shota squeezed the cloth around their necks. Something that has become his go to move.

The guards struggled for only a few seconds before going limp. They were dead without making a single loud noise.

Shota looked back at the other Anbu team members who had been waiting nearby. They nodded silently in approval. Without wasting time, they dragged the dead bodies into the shadows and removed the samurai armor from them.

The armor was a bit heavy and smelled of sweat, but it would serve its purpose perfectly. Each team member put on the pieces carefully, adjusting the straps and helmets so they looked like real Samurai guards.

They did not go with transformation jutsu as some sensors could sense it.

After the noble lord finished his peeing session and came back out, he looked at his new guards with annoyance. He did not even notice that they were different people.

The young noble waved his hand lazily and spoke in a loud, rude voice. "Let's go you all pieces of bulking shits. There is a reason dad wants to get some jutsus so that he could train his own shinobi because you are all useless."

The noble kept complaining as he walked ahead. He talked about how slow they were, how they never protected him properly, and how his father was tired of relying on worthless Samurai guards.

He said his dad wanted real shinobi techniques to train better soldiers because these samurai could not even handle simple threats. The way he spoke made it sound like the guards were nothing more than walking furniture.

The young lord continued his rant for a while longer. He bragged about his family's wealth and how they deserved better protection. He called the samurai names that were both funny and insulting, mixing big words with childish insults.

One moment he said they moved like lazy cows, and the next he complained that they smelled worse than the bathroom he just left. The entire team stayed quiet, playing their roles.

Shota thought the noble sounded like a spoiled child who had never faced real danger in his life.

Shota bowed his head slightly in a respectful manner, keeping his voice calm and humble. "We are sorry for our incompetence, Lord."

The noble boy looked at them with a satisfied smirk. He nodded once, as if he had won some great victory. "Good that you know your mistakes."

Shota kept his head bowed, but inside his mind was racing with dry, sarcastic thoughts. 'And you would know your mistakes soon enough too. The samurai we killed must be glad to be away from this arrogant young master.'

He imagined the dead guards finally getting some peace and quiet after years of listening to this nonstop complaining. It was almost funny how the noble had no clue what was happening.

He thought,'They probably died happy just to escape listening to this voice every day. And now we get to babysit him until we reach the auction. What a joy. I bet his father pays these guards extra just to stop themselves from throwing him into a river.'

They made their way to the auction house in a tight formation. Shota walked slightly behind the noble lord, keeping his eyes open for any threats. He could see several shinobi stationed as guards around the entrance.

Shota studied them carefully. He could tell that only a few were actual Root shinobi. Most of them looked like hired rogue shinobi or simple mercenaries who had been paid to provide extra security.

'Makes sense, Danzo does not have many expendable root shinobi now.' Shota thought this as they walked forward.

The noble showed his invitation to the guards at the door. The men relaxed immediately after seeing the fancy seal on the paper. They still asked for the samurai papers to verify the identities of the guards.

The team had taken the papers from the dead samurai and handed them over without hesitation. The guards checked the documents quickly, nodded, and waved them through. No one suspected a thing.

They entered the auction hall and were led to one of the VIP rooms. This was exactly why Shota had chosen this particular noble. It turned out his daddy was quite an influential and rich noble from the Land of Earth.

Because of that status, they were given a private VIP hall with a good view of the main stage. Shota needed this kind of private space to operate without too many eyes watching them.

As soon as they entered the VIP hall and the door closed behind them, Shota removed his samurai gauntlets. Binding cloth shot out from his hands and wrapped tightly around the noble boy, pinning his arms to his sides. The young lord struggled and looked shocked.

"What do you think you are doing?!!" The noble shouted in anger and confusion.

Shota kept his voice calm and a little tired, like he was dealing with a noisy child. "Jeez man you talk and shout a lot. We are infiltrating the auction by the way."

The noble's face turned red with rage as well as confusion. "What is happening?Who.....are you? And the fuck do you think you are doing. Do you have any idea who my father is?"

Shota was surprised at the lack of fear by the kid. But he tilted his head slightly and answered in a dry tone. "Does anyone? Your mother's a friendly woman."

The boy looked even more furious. "Are you looking to die?"

Shota replied without missing a beat. "Is your father going to kill me? You don't strike me as someone who fights his own battles."

The noble brat spat out more threats. "I'm going to destroy you, you no-name little prick. I'm going to scrape you off my shoe."

Shota asked playfully, his voice carrying a hint of amusement. "Is that a challenge? Like a duel or something? How do you want to do it, dance-off, or yo-mama fight? I'd prefer a dance-off because I actually like your mother. Also, I've got the moves."

The noble stared at him in complete confusion. "What?"

Shota sighed lightly. "You say that a lot, and you always look kind of confused. You're not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you?"

The noble brat had veins popping on his forehead. He was about to start ranting again, his mouth opening wide to shout more insults.

Shota cut him off calmly. "Shush now. The auction is going to start."

The binding cloth wrapped around the noble's mouth, stopping him from talking any further. The boy made muffled angry sounds, but no clear words came out.

Shota's attention now focused completely on the auction that was beginning in the main hall below.
