In a dark corner of Clash Online, two figures met with their hood covering their face. The mask was unnecessary because any passerby saw the names being shown over their heads.
But no one was foolish enough to attack the now-famous Cane as well as the No. 1 player in the server—Joseph. So they kept an eye on the exchange and watched as the exchange took place right in front of their eyes.
"Have you brought the weapon that you want to enhance?"
Cane asked as he extended his hand toward the weapon. Joseph looked hesitant, but took out the sword. He did not immediately hand it over to Cane, but waited.
That gesture told Cane that Joseph did not fully trust him. He was a cautious player.
"Before we start with the enhancement, I want to hold on to something of yours in return. This sword is costly, and I do not want to have someone else take it, even if it's you."
