After arrived to the community, the entered the elevator. The new home was located at 20th floor.
After came out of the elevator, both of the directly went to the hose number 2002, entered the key and opened the door.
When door was opened what swa was a fully furnished b, beautiful and luxurious apartment. Even though Gu Yingxue known that house that given by system was a ready to live apartment, this is also Gu Yingxue's first time seeing the house.
Seeing beautifully decorated house both grandma and Gu Yingxue felt marvelous.
The house was a three bedroom apartment with larger master bedroom and two smaller bedrooms. There are also two bathrooms, one was attached to the master bedroom and other one was shared bathroom.
When someone came from front door, there were living room, and there was a balcony with beautiful view. On the other side of living room was dining room with attached opened kitchen.
The house was very spacious. There are plenty of storage spaces that can put anything. What even more better was the decorations of the house.
Whole house was decorated into while and gold theme, there are also some plants put in house and also on the balcony area.
Seeing the house grandma's eyes were popped out due to excitement. Not only grandma, Gu Yingxue's eyes also widened looking at her beautiful house.
In both this life and Gu Yingxue's past life, she longed for a home to call her own. Now, that dream has finally come true.
In the evening, Gu Yingxue went to the market for get ingredients to celebrate grandma's discharge and also moving into a new house.
Since it was a special occasion, she planed to make some special dishes.
After spending hour in the market, Gu Yingxue not only bought ingredients for dinner but also ingredients for steamed buns.
She first put ingredients of steamed buns in the stall, went to the house with several bags that filled with ingredients.
Seeing Gu Yingxue coming with several bags, grandma curiously asker her.
"Aying, why did you bring so much?"
"Are these all for dinner?"
Grandma quickly looked at the ingredients that Gu Yingxue bought, her curiosity in increased.
"Yeah, since today is special day, I decided to make a big dinner."
While talking Gu Yingxue quickly started to prepare the ingredients.
First she planed to make cantonese steamed whole fish. first she took the already cleaned fish, that she asked from fish vendor, washed again under running water to remove the left blood. The she marinated it bit with shaoxing wine to remove the fishiness. Then placed ginger slices on top of fish and in fish belly.
Then she prepared the steamer, spreaded thinly sliced scallions on the plate and placed the fish on top, put in the steamer.
After few minutes, she opened the lid of steamer and checked if fish was cooked by poking it with chopstick. Since there still some resistance, she closed the lid to steamed it for several minutes again.
While fish was steaming, she prepared the sauce with soy sauce, sugar, and some chicken stock. After fish was done, Gu Yingxue carefully put the fish on severing plate and poured out the excess juice that has pooled on the plate. Then she added scallions, ginger and red pepper on the top of fish and poured smoking heated neutral oil to release it flavour and aroma. Then poured seasoned sauce she previously prepared.
Smelling delicious aroma grandma quicked her steps into the kitchen.
"Hmm... So fragrant. Aying, what did you make, whole house filled with delicious aroma."
" Oh! grandma, why did you come to kitchen, didn't I asked to stay in living room until dinner was finished cooking."
Gu Yingxue asked grandma with worry.
" How can I stay in living room when there are rich fragrance all over the house."
Grandma looked at Gu Yingxue like a curious child.
"So, what did you made?"
"It just steamed fish. There still lots to make. So now, you go to the living room honestly."
Gu Yingxue pushed her grama out of kitchen while saying.
Next dish was lotus root and pork bone soup. First she soaked dried mandarin peel, scallops and peanuts separately with warm water. Then she picked up the lotus root she bought, peel it and cut it in half,then into wedges. Then rinsed it with water to remove remaining dirt.
Once dried mandarin peel had rehydrated enough to be flexible, she scraped off the pitch because if it was removed, soup can be bitter.
After scallops rehydrated bit, she freaked them apart and into separate things strands, and she kept the scallops smoked water to use in soup.
Then she filled a lager pot with water, prepared mandarin peel, scallops and scallops soaked water, ginger, cleaned pork bones, lotus root and yellow rock suger to boil. Once boiled reduced to simmer and cover.
While until soup was ready she prepared to made other dishes. Since she already put rice on cooker, she only has to make other side dishes.
First she planed to make stir-fry cauliflower. Gu Yingxue first cut cauliflower into florest, removed tough and dry end. Then in a large bowl of water mixed with salt, submerged florest. Then she sliced shallots, celery and red pepper. After that she prepared the sauce with soup sauce, oyster sauce, suger, water, cornstarch and seasem oil.
Then she balanched the cauliflower in boiling water few minutes remaining it's crispiness, after few minutes she took them out put them in cold water to prevent it overcooked.
After all we're prepared, she heated up pan on medium heat, added neutral oil. When oil was heated she added shallots and celery, stir-fry few minutes. Then she added cauliflower and pinch of salt to season it and stir-fry few minutes again. Then poured the prepared sauce and mixed all of them together well. Once sauce was thickend put it on the plater to serve.
Next dish was din tai fung garlic green beans.
