"I almost was late this morning. I was about to wait twenty minutes for the next bus, so I rushed to the bus stop. Just as I steadied myself, Mr. Sterling's car drove by."
"Did he just let you get in the car?"
Tina Sawyer widened her eyes, still in a daze.
Usually, the cold-faced Mr. Sterling walks briskly, with eyes that could freeze someone.
How could he casually give a subordinate a ride?
This is practically the sun rising from the west.
Vivian Sinclair deliberately lowered her voice, revealing a hint of a mysterious smile.
Exaggeratingly.
"Seriously! I clung to the car window, begging him to give me a lift, almost crying. Only then did he glance at me for two seconds with a frown and coldly said, 'Get in.'"
Tina Sawyer listened, her eyes widened, and it took her a while to regain her composure.
She quietly gave a thumbs up, looking full of admiration.
"Vivian, you're really something, totally fearless. Just imagining the scene makes my legs weak."
