Terror struck instantly, fine beads of cold sweat broke out on her forehead.
Her instincts prompted her to grip the folder tightly in her hand, her knuckles turning white from the effort.
"Where's Mr. Lockwood? Has anyone seen him?!"
The young nurse questioned was stunned, nearly dropping the medical records she held.
She opened her mouth hesitantly.
"Huh? Wasn't Mr. Lockwood in the office? I just saw him sitting there."
"Exactly," interjected another male doctor, his brows forming a tight knot, "I saw him inside drinking tea just five minutes ago! He even asked about the surgery schedule."
As he spoke, he pulled out his phone and reviewed the recent call log.
The group exchanged glances, becoming increasingly anxious.
"Could something have happened?"
Someone muttered softly, their complexion paling.
"Mr. Lockwood never disappears without reason, this is too unusual..."
Clara Jennings walked in quietly with two cups of warm milk tea.
