Thinking of this, Zeros gripped the knife in his left hand, calmly looking at the ferocious-looking 'Elfman', clenched his right fist, stretched his body, and made a punching motion.

A light flashed in his eyes, and a purple gold light appeared on his right fist. Without the slightest hesitation, he aimed at 'Elfman' and threw a punch from a distance.

call!!

A beam of purple gold light shot out from Zeros's right fist, piercing directly through Elfman's beast king body.

As Zeros lowered his right fist, 'Elfman's' roar gradually subsided, his aura weakened, the eerie purple light in his eyes dimmed, and his entire body began to shrink rapidly, eventually reverting to Elfman's original form before collapsing to the ground.

"Elfman (Elfman's older brother)!"

Shortly after, two shouts rang out simultaneously, and then Mirajane and Lisanna were seen rushing toward them.

Although Elfman's body had returned to normal, it was still covered in wounds. Seeing her brother so badly injured for the first time, Lisanna was shocked. Then, with teary eyes, she looked at Zeros and said in a clear voice, "Brother Zeros, you were too cruel!"

Zeros was still in 'Past Mode' mode. His eyes, which were shimmering with a faint light, glanced at Lisanna and said, "I have already shown mercy. Otherwise, your brother Elfman would be dead!"

Although Zeros's words were somewhat 'heartless,' Lisanna was a sensible girl. She understood that Zeros being able to save Elfman was already a tremendous stroke of good fortune, after all, that was the Beast King.

So she nodded and said slowly, "Thank you, Brother Zeros..."

But Zeros couldn't detect any gratitude in her dejected tone. He raised an eyebrow; it seemed this straightforward girl wasn't in a good mood after seeing her brother's miserable end...

Mirajane, after examining her brother and finding that his injuries were only superficial and that he was not in any life-threatening danger, breathed a sigh of relief. She then walked towards Zeros and sincerely thanked him, "Thank you, Zeros. If you hadn't arrived in time, the three of us might have been done for!"

Her tone was exceptionally sincere, and Zeros could sense that every word she spoke came from the bottom of her heart, expressing her gratitude to him.

However, Zeros didn't seem to care much about this. He simply said in a nonchalant tone, "I'm just here to meddle in other people's business."

Upon hearing this, Mirajane immediately recalled the scene before she went to fight the Beast King, when Zeros tried to dissuade her. At that time, she had told Zeros not to meddle in other people's business, and now it seemed that the latter... was still holding a grudge...

Mirajane wasn't annoyed by Zeros's cold attitude at all. Instead, she thanked him again, "Thank you so much for meddling and saving us this time!"

His tone remained incredibly sincere.

If those in the Fairy Tail guild who knew her intimately were to see this, their jaws would drop in utter astonishment. When did the shrewish, rebellious Mirajane ever thank the same person twice in such a gentle tone, especially when that person's tone was rather unfriendly...?

This is simply unimaginable.

Even Zeros looked at Mirajane with some surprise. As the person involved, he was naturally the one who could best feel the huge change in the latter. Although Mirajane was still dressed as a delinquent, there was no trace of the previous arrogance on her pretty face. Instead, she seemed more like a gentle and lovely girl.

It seems this incident has had a significant impact on this girl!

She not idiotic as I imagined!

Thinking of this, Zeros couldn't help but think more highly of Mirajane, and then simply replied, "Don't let it happen again!"

"Mm!" Mirajane's lips curled up slightly, and a beautiful smile immediately appeared on her pretty face. Although Zeros's tone remained unchanged, she knew that when Zeros said those words, he had already let go of the slight resentment he held towards her.

At that moment, Mirajane hadn't considered why she was so concerned about the attitude of this stranger she'd only known for half a day. Was it simply because of his strength, or because he had saved the three sisters, or both, or perhaps for some other reason she herself wasn't clear about...?

At this time.
