Chapter 257 - Chapter 257: An Angry Himuro

Akane Nanao went a step further and deleted every photo and memory of Shoya. Better to cut the ties completely. She let out a long breath, her heart heavy but her mind clear. She drifted off to sleep, ready for a new beginning.

Fei-yu was gently pinching Hana's nose as she slept. He couldn't help himself; she looked so cute. He moved to her earlobes, rubbing the soft, cool skin between his thumb and forefinger. This was his second "bad habit" after feet. He kissed her forehead and joined her in sleep.

Friday came—the day every student looks forward to. Fei-yu sat in class, leaning his head on his hand, listening to his classmates plan their weekends.

"Fei-yu-kun, should we go out this weekend?~" Yui Aono turned around with a bright smile.

"Uh..." Fei-yu hesitated. He was busy on Saturday and Sunday afternoons with his "other" duties.

"Please? Hana-chan definitely wants to go too," Yui pleaded.

"Fine," he agreed. He hadn't taken Hana out in a while. He'd just have to make it a morning trip.

"Yay!~" Yui cheered, her foot covertly rubbing against Fei-yu's under the desk. Their relationship had definitely deepened after yesterday's "incident."

"Big Brother Fei-yu, good morning!" Ayato Tsubakino's soft voice chirped.

"Morning, Ayato-kun. Here's your gym clothes back. Thanks for the help yesterday." Fei-yu handed over the clean laundry.

"Hehe, you didn't have to wash them, Big Brother."

"Just take them!" Fei-yu said, a bit too quickly. Ayato's girl-like smile was starting to weird him out. He was strictly straight, and in this world, he had to be careful.

"Tsubakino-kun really looks like a girl... especially if he wore a wig," Yui mused. Fei-yu quickly thought of Mitsuko and Hana to cleanse his brain.

"Fei-yu-kun? Give me your homework, I'll turn it in for you," Yui said, pulling out her folders.

"Homework?!" Fei-yu's eyes widened. "Since when?"

"It was on the board yesterday," Yui said. "Did you not see it?"

Fei-yu realized that by the time he'd reached class yesterday, the board had been wiped clean. He hadn't done a single bit of it.

"It's my fault! I forgot to tell you..." Yui felt guilty. She had been so dazed from their kissing yesterday that she'd forgotten everything except his lips.

"It's okay, Yui. My own fault." He grabbed her notebook. "Let me 'borrow' your answers. I have fifteen minutes."

He began writing at a superhuman speed. He barely finished and turned it in to the class rep two seconds before Ms. Moon (Tsukishima) walked in. He didn't notice the strange look the class rep gave him, nor did he realize he had accidentally sandwiched his work with Yui's.

The first period passed uneventfully. But the second period—Math with Kanade Himuro—was different.

The atmosphere turned freezing the moment she walked in. Himuro had a scowl on her face that could kill. Everyone lowered their heads, hoping not to become her target.

Himuro, with her waist-length silver hair and sharp OL suit, looked like a cold queen. Her black stockings and high heels clicked rhythmically against the floor. Usually, she was the object of many boys' fantasies, but her sheer strictness made them too terrified to even look at her.

She paced the front of the room, her anger visibly growing. When she spotted Fei-yu—who was looking out the window, seemingly indifferent—she snapped. She slammed her pointer against the metal podium with a deafening CLANG.

Fei-yu jumped. He looked up to find her glaring directly at him. What now? Is it her time of the month? he wondered.

"Some of you are being absolutely pathetic!" Himuro snapped. "I gave you so little homework, yet someone still felt the need to cheat!"

Fei-yu's heart skipped a beat.

"Copying is one thing, but being so lazy that you don't even try to hide it?! It was word-for-word identical!" She slammed the podium again. "Do you think I'm a joke?!"

Oh shit, Fei-yu thought. She's definitely talking about me.
