Chapter 73 - A Perfect Ending??? (3)

"Because your brother Rhaegar's wife is my younger sister, Lyanna," Ned Stark said.

"As for the true identity of Aegon Targaryen, he is..."

Before Ned could finish, Louis suddenly shouted,

"Enough! You are not allowed to say this to anyone, or you know the consequences."

In front of Louis, Ned fell silent and stepped back a few steps.

But his words were still echoing in everyone's ears, including Daenerys.

Louis finally spoke when he saw her expression.

"So, do you still refuse to make the agreement?"

Daenerys, who had just regained her composure, raised her eyes toward him.

Before she could speak, Louis continued, destroying any hope she still had of resisting:

"If you are thinking of relying on your dragons…"

With a wave of his hand, six dragon eggs suddenly appeared on the table in front of Daenerys's shocked eyes.

"Do not forget that King's Landing was once where your family lived," Louis said.

"So we found a good number of dragon eggs. It is true that hatching them is very difficult… but we succeeded."

Louis told a small lie, then continued,

"If you rely on the strength of your dragons, we rely on their number. As for controlling them, we can leave that to the true heir to the throne."

"I do not think he would refuse this offer. We could even use this contract to turn him into your deadly enemy. What do you think?"

This time, despair appeared on Daenerys's face.

Inside her, a violent inner struggle began.

The throne she dreamed of.

The blood that was spilled.

The cities she burned.

The titles she carried.

Should she give up everything?

Or fight everyone to the bitter end and risk losing it all?

"…Fine. I agree," Daenerys finally said.

"What are the terms that will be written in the contract?"

Louis smiled.

"It is simple. First, each of us must place a drop of blood on the contract."

Louis took back the scroll that was still floating in front of Daenerys.

He bit his finger and let a drop of his blood fall onto it, then handed it to Daenerys.

She did the same, despite her clear hesitation.

Suddenly, the old and worn scroll changed.

It shone with a golden light.

At the bottom were two blood marks beside the names:

Daenerys Targaryen and Joffrey Baratheon.

At the top, a sentence appeared in dark red letters:

"Anyone who breaks the rules of this contract will face destruction."

The magical sight amazed Daenerys. It was the first time she had seen something like this, and it confirmed the contract was real.

"Clause one," Louis said.

"Through a marriage alliance, Joffrey Baratheon and Daenerys Targaryen will rule the Seven Kingdoms together, consulting each other on every decision. Do you agree?"

Daenerys looked at Louis for a long time, then nodded.

"I agree."

As she agreed, the words were clearly written on the scroll.

"Clause two: neither side is allowed to target the other or any allied forces in any way…"

This continued for several minutes.

In total, they agreed on nine clauses that covered everything with no loopholes.

When both gave their final approval, the scroll turned into a bright light, then split apart.

Parts of the light entered the heads of both Daenerys and Louis.

[ A Soul Pact has been formed with Daenerys Targaryen. ]

[ The Soul Pact only works inside this world and will be canceled upon returning to the real world. ]

The system notifications echoed in Louis's mind, making him smile once again.

In front of everyone…

He stood up, walked toward Daenerys's chair, and extended his hand with a slight bow.

"My queen."

Daenerys looked at his bow and his outstretched hand.

She suppressed her mixed emotions and accepted.

She placed her hand in his and stood directly in front of him.

"About Aegon... " she tried to speak.

Before she could finish, Louis suddenly kissed her forcefully, one hand on her waist and the other on her head.

Everyone was shocked, including Daenerys.

Jon Snow, who still did not know that he was Aegon Targaryen, the one Ned Stark had spoken about, watched the scene and felt something break inside his heart.

The kiss lasted a few seconds before Louis finally pulled away with a mocking smile.

"No need to worry. I will not allow anyone to disturb our marital happiness. You should do the same."

He let her go and glanced at Jon Snow from the corner of his eye.

Daenerys understood what he meant and spoke,

"Do not worry. A pact is a pact. I am not ready to give up the Iron Throne, but you must keep your promise as well."

"Of course!" Louis smiled.

In the following days, as everyone prepared for the coming war, Sansa and Arya returned to Winterfell.

Missandei and the other maids also returned to Daenerys.

Following Louis's plan, the allied armies camped near the Wall.

In the original story, the Army of the Dead succeeded in crossing the Wall using Viserion, the unlucky dragon killed by the Night King.

Louis would not allow that to happen this time.

With his agreement to let the wildlings cross the Wall at Jon Snow's request, a few more days passed before the Army of the Dead appeared in everyone's sight.

From a nearby hill, Louis saw the Night King riding an undead horse.

Below him, his generals led the army toward the Wall.

In truth, defeating the Night King was not very difficult, if you knew the right method.

A single strike with a weapon made of dragonglass was enough to destroy this nearly immortal being.

Louis did not plan to do it himself.

The mission required defeating the greatest threat or helping in its defeat.

By providing troops and making the right plan, Louis considered himself a participant in the battle.

The allied armies gathered beneath the Wall to draw the attention of the Army of the Dead.

As the battle began and their attention was distracted, Daenerys mounted Drogon with Ned Stark and another veteran warrior.

They flew toward the Night King, while the other two dragons followed to distract him.

When the Night King saw the dragons approaching, he dismounted his horse, took his magical spear, and threw it toward the largest dragon... the one carrying several people.

When Daenerys saw him preparing to throw the strange spear, she prepared carefully to evade the attack.

With Louis's warning in mind, she suppressed her arrogance and overconfidence in her dragons.

The spear was easily avoided.

Before the Night King could attack again, the other two dragons distracted him by breathing fire toward him.

Drogon seized the opportunity and moved close enough for Ned Stark and the other warrior to jump down.

They drew their new dragonglass swords and attacked the Night King, while the three dragons, led by Daenerys, kept all enemies away.

Although the Night King's immortality made him very resistant, he had no other abilities that could threaten the two experienced warriors.

After exchanging several blows, the final strike was delivered.

As the Night King fell, the Army of the Dead collapsed.

The threat that the system considered the greatest danger to this world was finally gone.

A system notification appeared.

[ Congratulations! You have contributed to eliminating the greatest threat in this world. ]

[ If you remain on the Iron Throne for 100 more days, the final main mission will be completed. ]

Louis smiled at the two notifications.

After all, Daenerys could be considered the greatest threat to his throne, and by signing a Soul Pact with her, this mission could already be considered complete.

At last…

The first SSS rating in history was about to appear.
