Noah didn't know what those words meant at his young age but he had an idea now. the moment at the table flashed into his mind.
seeing the blood soaked man charging at him, Noah quickly took in a breath, before pulling out the sword stuck in his stomach.
The swordsman charged quickly even while injured. The moment he got close, Noah swung the sword to make distance, cleaving a wide arc in front of him.
"Man you shuck" the swordsman said, voice muffled by the knife. then he grabbed it with his left hand.
Noah didn't know much about the sword. Not enough to threaten a sword master. he began a flurry of attacks that only served to keep him back.
During this time Noah would also occasionally dash backward, bringing him into new battles.
But it didn't end well. They back up into a group fight, but the swordsman couldn't be bothered, simply using his speed and power jump into the battle, gutting everyone friend or foe, before they could react.
Noah looked at his chest. Arrows were in it. If he smacked them deeper into his body, would one reach his heart or lung? as he charged in, he got noticeably slower. legs seemed on life support compared to before.
Noah was feeling that too though. A cut through the torso does that to you. He could hardly see and had to put a great effort to not aimlessly swing.
as the swordsman charged him again, Noah didn't back up, instead, charging forward, catching the man off guard. With this short window of Time, Noah slashed at the parts of his chest where the arrows were, burying them into his chest, and cutting some more.
The swordsman's charge stopped as he suddenly felt a strange weakness. Noah pushed him down, surprised. 'That actually worked?' He was thanking whatever heavens had blessed his luck.
as the swordsman's body collapsed to the floor, Noah got a good look. He seemed to be coughing blood. He was looking at him with unflinching eyes and probably would have said something if not for the arrow in his lung.
Noah wasn't going to give him the time.
He grabbed his sword, and plunged it into the man's neck, a wet *shlick* confirmed his death.
Noah quickly got up and looked around. His idiotic brother was probably in this battlefield and he had no way of protecting him.
'This "hero" is a piece of work, but I won't let him become a footnote in the legacy of another.'
Noah, now gravely injured, began walking. Looking for him, when suddenly, green fines encased his figure and brought him upwards.
Then brought him upwards and forwards.
Inwardly Noah was begging for this not to be an enemy. He could have done all that to get crushed by vines.
once he was 20 feet in the air, he saw the pretty mage with a rose shaped staff once more. Plenty of other injured figures of importance were here as well. some professors, other notable people who had impressed her enough for her to save them.
"Sorry darling, I can't let you die just yet."
she said her eyes closed.
"Hey, I'm not complaining" Noah said sighing in relief.
It seemed she was a nature magician. her job was saving people of importance and apparently keeping enemies away.
Many vines were keeping them up, but Noah saw a man come near, and as he was about to say something, she interrupted: "Im fully aware"
Suddenly many new vines sprouted, wrapping around the man and crushing him, his arm stuck out, the only evidence that a man once existed in those vines.
Noah shivered a bit, before electing to look at other fights. while it seemed to be even on many ends, it was not for two.
in one area, a knight in black armor was rampaging through enemy lines.
Many tried to stop him, but it was futile. A man brought his sword up to block, only for the knight to bring his down, slicing through the man after destroying his sword.
another tried to stab him from behind only to not even dent his armor, a blue energy shield stopped him from even reaching it,
The knight turned around, chuckling before the back of his gauntlet struck the man's face, caving him into the floor, causing a crater where his body was.
As much as many were willing to die, they elected to not die pointlessly rushing at a brick wall. Most purposefully ignored him, hoping he would do the same.
In another area, a mages body was enveloped by a cloak. A mana gem in the middle of his mask. he used gravity magic to crush anyone who got close.
many tried to charge him only to immediately be flattened once they got within ten feet of him.
he seemed to look to the sky before holding a black ball in his hand. It had a great sucking force pulling people in left and right, most opting to run from that point.
As Noah's eyes got droopy, he slept knowing victory was never in doubt.
