The Straw Hats sailed on, passing through Skypiea (which Kenji ensured was swift and drama-free, having instantly duplicated Enel's Goro Goro no Mi concept to gain Apex: True Electromagnetism Mastery—power over all electrical and magnetic forces—before the villain could even muster a serious attack).
Now, they found themselves drifting toward the anomaly that was Long Ring Long Land, an island composed of a series of extremely long, thin landmasses connected by shallow tide pools.
Kenji stood beside Robin, looking out at the strangely distorted land.
"The time distortion is minimal, but the geographical distortion is high," Robin noted, holding his hand. "An odd place."
"It's about to get a lot odder, Robin-san," Kenji replied, activating his Omniscience Haki. "I sense a significant, if slightly ridiculous, threat approaching. A pirate crew focused entirely on petty games."
Sure enough, a ship bearing a grotesque, afro-wearing pirate and his strangely shaped crew sailed into view: Foxy the Silver Fox.
The crew was immediately drawn into the infamous Davy Back Fight, a series of dangerous pirate games where crew members are wagered. Luffy, predictably, accepted the challenge, his competitive spirit blinding him to the inherent risks.
"This is ridiculous!" Nami fumed, reviewing the rules of the Groggy Ring. "We could lose Chopper!"
Kenji, however, remained calm. "We won't lose anyone, Nami-san. I've already duplicated the underlying physics of all their games, including the potential outcomes and any technological cheats Foxy uses. This is a game of skill, which means it's a game of applied science and prediction."
