On weekends, as usual, Julian didn't know what to do. Every day felt the same to him because he was still having a hard time finding a job. But the difference was that on his days off, he would always spend time with Arcane, either watching TV or going out together.
Only that day was different from usual. Arcane came out of his room wearing neat clothes and looking so handsome.
He looked like someone getting ready to go on a date. Of course, this surprised Julian because he never knew Arcane had a lover.
"Where are you going? Are you meeting your friends?" he asked.
Arcane turned to him and shook his head. "Not today. I intend to go out for a while and maybe I'll be back later in the afternoon."
"Where are you going? Can't I come with you?" Julian asked again.
However, Arcane replied that he wanted to go alone. He couldn't go with Julian because this was his own business to meet someone.
The words "meet someone" made Julian even more suspicious. There was also a feeling of jealousy when he thought about his husband meeting someone else. He knew clearly that this was none of his business, but what was wrong with feeling that way?
"Besides, I'm tired of constantly seeing your annoying face. I need a day off from seeing you," said Arcane, who was actually joking.
Julian frowned in annoyance, but his curiosity made him very eager to know where he was going.
"Fine, just go! I can order food for lunch later. Don't worry, I won't burn down your kitchen!"
"Good then. I'll leave now and you take care of the house as usual."
He approached Julian and patted him gently on the head. "Good boy."
Those words made Julian's face redden. There were two reasons for this. First, he didn't like being treated like a dog. And second, being called "Good Boy" in that hoarse voice made his heart pound very fast.
"You think I'm a dog?!" he asked angrily.
"You're more like a puppy abandoned on the street with a pitiful face," Arcane replied with a smirk and walked away.
Julian, who was still sitting on the sofa, couldn't stay still because his curiosity was so high. He immediately grabbed his jacket and went to follow Arcane, trailing him silently.
From behind, he followed the man, walking casually as usual while observing his surroundings. He hid from one tree to another, even behind a pole.
Arcane himself felt like someone was following him, plus he saw people around him passing by as if they were staring at something behind him.
However, when he turned around, he found no one there.
"It can't be that he's following me, right?"
He dismissed the feeling and continued on his way to the train station. Julian was a little surprised. Arcane was going to the station?
"Where is he actually going? Plus, who is he going to meet?" he muttered in confusion, then quietly followed him into the station.
Luckily, he always carried his wallet, so he could immediately press his card to pass through the gate that would take him into the station.
Seeing Arcane standing behind the yellow line, Julian looked for a good spot to watch without being noticed.
Before long, the train arrived and the passengers walked in, including Arcane and Julian. The young man took a seat in the train so that he wouldn't be noticed.
"He looks so relaxed. Sitting with his arms folded and his eyes closed like that. His date must live in another area. No wonder I've never met her before," thought Julian.
The train took them on a journey of almost an hour. Finally, they stopped at the next station and got off.
Julian had never been to that area before. He was worried that he would get lost if he got separated or lost track of Arcane. All he could remember was that the train had passed two stations.
"Hmn hmn~" Arcane hummed as he walked with his hands in his pockets.
Until finally he entered a flower shop. Julian, curious, peeked from outside the shop window while hiding behind the flowers displayed in front of the shop.
"Welcome! Oh, it's Arcane?" greeted a man who worked at the flower shop.
Surprisingly, it turned out that they knew each other. "Hello Peter, I'm here to order flowers as usual."
"I know that! Every time you come here, you always order the same flowers. Red camellias with white lilies. They're very beautiful flowers, aren't they?" said Peter as he took the flowers from the display. "Her favorite."
"Her favorite? So, a woman?" Julian was still watching from outside the shop, trying to listen to their conversation.
He felt that Arcane and the florist already knew each other, even to the point of knowing his flower buying habits. Didn't that mean Arcane had been coming there often?
Arcane nodded with a smile on his face, saying that they were indeed someone's favorite flowers.
After the flowers were tied together in pink, Peter gave them to Arcane and added a bonus baby's breath flower.
"These flowers are very beautiful. Please give her my regards," said Peter.
"Sure. Thank you for giving me these flowers, and maybe we'll meet again next time."
After paying for the flowers, Arcane left the shop, where Julian immediately hid on the other side so that the man wouldn't notice him.
He paused for a moment, realizing that Arcane had been meeting that woman often without him knowing. And anyway, what business was it of his?
Their marriage was not real, whoever Arcane was dating was none of his business. And if the man decided to end their fake marriage for that woman, wouldn't that be good?
"He doesn't have to go through with a fake marriage and can marry her for real. But why do I feel like I don't want all this to end?" he muttered, clutching his chest.
Seeing Arcane walking away, Julian immediately chased after him because he couldn't get lost there alone without that man. Besides, he had already gone that far, there was no way he would just stop.
Even if forced, he might see how Arcane and the woman met.
After running, thinking he'd lost him, he saw Arcane across the street. He saw his contract husband walking toward a place there.
"I have to chase him across the street."
Julian finally crossed the street to chase after Arcane, wondering where else he would go.
As soon as the red haired man entered a gate, Julian stopped in his tracks when he saw the gate in front of him.
"The graveyard?"
