Mike looked at the accumulated stat points and began to distribute them—
10 points in Strength, 10 points in Constitution, 5 in Agility, and the rest into Intelligence.
"Okay, good enough. Now let's continue," he said as he stood back up and resumed walking.
"I'm getting closer to the edge of the desert," he mumbled. Since he was on the way out, there was nothing to worry about regarding the supplies limit.
For him, it was like logging into a game—only it wasn't a game. It was real life. He could return to his original world anytime, but before that, he needed to place his avatar in a safe location. If he left the avatar somewhere dangerous, he would risk returning to a dead body, and then he'd have to pay a penalty for any avatar restoration.
Soon, Mike found the black serpent's lair he was heading toward—this one was empty, with nothing but bones scattered around, unlike the last one where he found the eggs.
"Time to log out," he mumbled as he first blocked the lair with a big iron shield. It was a common-rank greatshield, large enough to cover the entire entrance.
After making sure the place was safe, he closed his eyes, and his vision sank—
returning to his real body in his room.
Standing up, he stretched a bit and then walked downstairs, and the moment his sister saw him, she rushed at him.
"Brother! When will you get my cute bunny?"
Mike almost slipped off the stairs as Misty suddenly appeared beside him. Yesterday, one of her classmates had brought a bunny pet from the Origin World, and now she was demanding the same.
"I already said it—when I get out and find a civilization, the first thing I will do is find the cutest bunny for you, okay?" he said.
Misty pouted but nodded.
"Okay! I will wait!"
Then she skipped back to watch TV.
"Mom, I'm going out," Mike said as he grabbed his things.
His mother nodded. She didn't dive into dungeons yet—she said Misty was still too young and she had to stay home with her.
Mike headed out and called a taxi, then went to the SNA Market Plaza.
It was a huge place where all supernatural deals happened—skill books, weapon shops, monster materials, everything.
He entered a Beast Master Shop, the very first he saw. Immediately, someone came to him.
"Hello, are you here to buy or sell?" an older woman asked.
Mike nodded.
"I want to sell six Black-Scale Serpent eggs."
Her eyes widened for a moment, but she kept her composure and nodded quickly.
"Let me call the appraiser."
Mike waited, and soon a young lady arrived.
"Sir, the appraiser is ready. Please come with me," she said politely.
She led him to an appraisal room. It was a large chamber with a big machine that had over ten grooves.
"Please place the eggs in those grooves. The price depends on their condition," she explained.
Mike nodded and placed the six serpent eggs on the grooves as the lady then closed the machine with the glass cover.
After a moment of scanning, she took out the result sheet and handed it to him.
"The scan is complete," she said. "Each of these eggs has a 100% chance of hatching. So we will buy them at full market price for uncommon-rank monsters."
She smiled professionally as Mike nodded, satisfied while looking at the displayed conditions.
"How much for one egg?" he asked.
"The market price for Black-Scale Serpent eggs is 120,000 credits each," she said.
Mike nodded as she then processed all six eggs.
She also scanned the beast corpses he had brought.
By the time everything was done, Mike had sold all six eggs and the serpent corpses—earning a total of 1.4 million credits.
"Thank you, esteemed customer," the young lady said with a smile.
Mike nodded and then asked, "Do you have any bunny-type beasts?"
The lady blinked, surprised, then asked, "Is it for a younger sibling?"
Mike nodded. "Yes. It's for my sister—she's just five, So, I want a docile and beautiful pet for her."
The lady nodded in undderstanding. "Of course, we have many baby bunny beasts. They're very common in the forest."
She guided him toward the side section of the shop. It looked like a small stable room, but once he stepped inside, Mike's jaw dropped.
"Woah… for such a small place from the outside, it's giant inside."
The young lady smiled. "It's an expensive spatial expansion spell used by the mage classes."
She continued guiding him deeper inside. "All our low-rank and gentle pets are kept here. You can choose the one you like."
As Mike looked around the spacious hall, he saw a calm enclosed area where dozens of rabbits and bunny-type beasts were hopping around. Some were grooming themselves, some nibbling on grass or flowers.
Just then, his eyes landed on a small bunny with soft pink-colored fur. It was about the size of his palm, quietly nibbling on a flower.
"I want that one," he said, pointing at it.
The lady smiled. "Ah, that is a Scented Bunny."
Mike blinked. "What's that?"
"They eat flowers, and for some time after, their fur releases the same scent as the flower they consumed," she explained.
"Many high-class ladies keep them as natural perfumers. And if you feed them high-quality herbs, they can also release calming fragrances. Some cultivators even use them to stabilize their minds during meditation."
Mike nodded, impressed. "How much for one?"
"It's a rare Rank 1 beast, so the price is 500,000 credits," she said politely.
Mike winced a little but paid without hesitation.
Misty would love this thing.
The lady quickly processed the purchase for him. The little pink bunny was resting on his palm, still nibbling on its grass.
"Here it is," she said with a smile, handing him a small pouch. "This is a month's supply of sweet grass for the bunny. It's a gift from our shop."
She also handed him the certificate of ownership and then placed a small cube-shaped item in his hand. The cube shimmered faintly with spatial energy.
"This is a Pet Space Cube, with 100 cubic meters of internal space filled with greenery and soft grass. It's perfect for the bunny to rest in," she said.
