Scene 1: Tide woven Pavilion – Hall of Storms
Beneath a dome of flowing water and suspended shells, Sect Leader Myrllan convenes a full convocation of the Pavilion's five major factions, each seated on a tide wrought platform:
The Brine fang Spears – Militaristic disciples who favor direct action and war.
The Mirth Weave Currents – Espionage and charm-focused cultivators who manipulate information like eddies.
The Still Pool Devotees – Spiritualists and spirit-beast tamers, serene but deadly.
The Coral Shard Artisans – Focused on crafting, arrays, and relic reinforcement.
The Deep Wake Guardians – Defenders of the Pavilion's ancient relics and oceanic gates.
Each representative speaks in turn, offering their stance on how the Pavilion should respond to the Crown's awakening and growing threat from the surface.
"We must strike Serra spine before they mobilize!"
"No — we must protect the Coral Wards first. They'll come for the archives."
"The real question is this: do we trust the Crown bearer?"
All eyes turn to Feng Xian.
Feng Xian stands calmly, the Tide Fire Brand glowing faintly under his robes. He speaks simply:
"I didn't come to lead your sect. But I'll die beside you to protect what matters."
"This isn't a war over relics. It's over who decides the future of this realm — sea, flame, forest, and sky alike."
Silence follows… until Nai'Esha steps forward, placing her hand over the Brand on his back.
"He carries the Crown, but it does not carry him. That's the difference."
Myrllan nods. "Then the Pavilion moves with him — but not blindly."
Scene 2: Arrival of the First Envoys
The outer Pavilion gates rumble. From the mist-shrouded sea lanes, three ships arrive, each bearing a different crest:
The Sky Veil Sanctum Envoys, robed in wind-silks, their leader Qi Wenyao herself descending on a drifting cloud-disc.
A Beast borne Spirit Envoy, cloaked in bone and leaf, an ancient jaguar totem glowing on their shoulder.
A third ship… dark-hulled, its flag shifting between symbols — a Cult of the Deep masquerading as merchants.
Feng Xian watches them all dock from the high reef balcony, murmuring:
"The storm isn't coming. It's already here — just waiting for a name."
Scene 3: Secret Meeting Below
That night, Nai'Esha leads Feng Xian to a coral crypt beneath the Pavilion — The Wound in the Tide. There, guarded by silent oath-sworn Deep wake monks, they meet an ancient Pavilion seer: Elder Vessira.
Blind, veined with bioluminescent lines, Vessira speaks in whispers that reverberate like deep currents.
"You bear two legacies. Flame and water, future and past. But there is a third… the storm unborn."
She gestures to an unlit crown etched on the cave wall — the Eighth, long forgotten. "If the Seventh has awakened, the others will stir. You must decide, Flame bearer. Will you stoke the tides… or drown beneath them?"
A silence falls. Feng Xian turns to Nai'Esha, whose face is pale with realization.
