A night of nagging and complaints, but nothing could make Rudy budge. His mind was too preoccupied by the pleas of that slave woman, and so even as Roxanne and Audrey glared at him with scorn, for they had a clue what he must've gone to the Greenhorn for, he didn't say a word. Both thanks to the embarrassment he would feel upon revealing and the subtle pain in his heart for that woman.
Alas, tired of complaining to him but getting no results, the girls left him be. None had any claim over him after all. Not unless they were in a relationship with him–and once that realization had set in, they both felt like it was no longer their duty to deal with Rudy's whole world of mess, even though deep within they wished that it was, even if for a small degree. However, for now, he had to handle it himself–or so they thought while bursting with their feminine and spiteful energy.
But their anger would not last long, and neither shall Freya's curiosity. She was still unaware of where her son was last night, but having seen him returning with Roxanne and Audrey, she assumed that everything was fine. Now with that in mind, she took to the reception only to be confronted by Aura to help her with the shop's location.
"I did promise to help, so I guess it's time we started looking." Saying that, the woman left the reception to one of her employees, who would later pass the word to Rudy for him to handle the reception while Freya was gone.
Getting ready with a handbag and a change of clothes to something more casual, Freya made her way into town with Aura walking beside her.
"Where's Custer, by the way?" Glancing sideways at the devil, she squinted. "I thought you two were inseparable, always glued together and holding hands in secret."
"You noticed?" Tilting her head, Aura hummed to herself. "Well, he had other business that needed to be taken care of today. He should be back by the time we're done with shopping, so no need to worry."
"Oh yeah," turning her head to look forward, Freya took a deep breath as the warm rays of the sun opened up her pores. "I never stopped to consider it, but you two must need a lot of material to make your monster-hunting contraptions."
"True~" Bobbing her head left and right as she walked, Aura tried to hold her smile. "Well, mostly it's just stuff to aid folks in bed, taken or single doesn't matter. We sell whatever it is that they most desire."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Raising an eyebrow at it all, Freya turned towards Aura once again.
However, simply shrugging her shoulders, the devil moved along. Keeping her secrets to herself for the very curiosity that Freya now had was what often delivered people to the devil's hand. In the meantime, done with a burial of flames, Zephyr had made his way back to his room. Glyea was still sitting at the edge of the bed, waiting for him to explain what was going on with dark horns and a devilishly charming appearance.
"I'm guessing I'm not supposed to open my mouth about this?" She asked, her eyes blankly staring back into Zephyr's hollow gaze.
Dressed back into her instructor uniform, she was ready to leave, but not before getting one last look at him. Eyeing him up and down, she wondered if last night was all but a dream, and if it was, then how come a devil was standing in the doorway? The memories of her companions were gone with them, and so, as the only instructor from the capital for the rookies, she knew she had to live for a town like Luminos does not get second chances.
"I'll take your silence as a yes." Getting up, she grabbed her sword and her wand and started walking towards the exit. "Not like I care, but since you were so stubborn about training these folks…"
Stopping right in front of him with a deep red flush, she glared into his eyes.
"I guess I'll train those rookies more seriously, but that doesn't mean I've submitted to you yet! Alright?!" Her lips quivered as she tried to seem defiant, all the while, deep down in her heart as well as her knees, she felt weak just standing next to him.
"I'll see you soon," Zephyr responded with a smirk.
"Ughh, whatever asshole…" Rolling her eyes, Glyea quickly moved forward before the devil could notice the smile that took over her lips. "Next time, I won't hold back, so try and beat me then!"
"You talking about the field or the bedroom?" Zephyr mocked right back.
"Oh, fuck you~" Walking down the steps, however, a chuckle did escape her lips. She simply didn't want the devil to know what she was feeling, for she was a woman who loved to be chased.
As for Zephyr himself, being an incubus and a fiend, it was his very job to tempt, and to tempt a woman who wished to be tempted was a game that he very much enjoyed. And since Glyea seemed willing to look past his appearance and whatever burden that he may bring, the only constraint that he had placed on her was that of silence in case someone learns of his existence.
'Even then, I doubt she knows that I'm the archfiend, so it shouldn't matter even if someone gets past that seal of silence.' With that thought, he walked into his room and started getting dressed for a busy day in town.
The first order of business? Getting a slave to work with them at the shop since neither Freya nor Aura was good at handling men outside their families. One wanted nothing to do with them, the other would rip them apart and herself if she was touched by the edge of their nail.
'I wonder what kind of slave I can get.' Zephyr thought, good for him, a perfect specimen was waiting for him. Ignored by the hero, only to be later saved by the devil…
