Chapter 162: Fusing the Wood Release Bloodline
Inside the room.
Rustle, rustle.
The white paper peeled away from Hinata's body.
"You—"
Before she could struggle or resist, Konan glared at her with the Sharingan, freezing her in place instantly. Her eyes went dull as she stood there blankly.
"Just to be safe, let's seal her Chakra," Alex said, floating towards Hinata's abdomen. Five blue, flame-like Chakra wisps emerged from his paper body and pressed onto her stomach.
Sealing Jutsu: Five Elements Seal!
This was a sealing technique freshly learned from the Konoha Root Headquarters, specifically designed to seal a person's Chakra. Once the Five Elements Seal was complete, a black pentagram seal pattern appeared on Hinata's snow-white belly. Her Chakra rapidly went dormant, becoming completely undetectable within half a second.
As expected of a sealing jutsu from the Uzumaki clan; it was incredibly effective.
Alex nodded and drifted away. Incidentally, he used a piece of paper to cut her finger. Crimson blood dripped steadily into a test tube below. After taking a full vial of blood, Alex extended a white thread to the wound and activated his Dark Medical Ninjutsu, instantly healing it to its original state.
Konan held the test tube filled with blood and looked at Hinata. Her gaze unconsciously drifted downward, attracted by the prominent protrusion on her chest. One could tell Hinata had intentionally bound and tightened it with cloth to make it look less exaggerated, but some things couldn't be hidden or suppressed. It was still very conspicuous—only a size smaller than Samui.
Konan's gaze moved up to Hinata's features, realizing with a start that she looked very similar to Shion. Aside from the eye and hair color, their facial features were over eighty percent similar. They were practically twins.
Twins...
Konan smiled inexplicably inside. Alex would probably like this... A late-night guidance session together might offer a unique flavor.
"Konan?" Alex asked, puzzled. "Why are you zoning out?"
"Nothing," Konan snapped back to reality. "Alex, back in Konoha, you said she was related to the Tenseigan. What's that about?"
"Oh, I forgot to tell you," Alex explained. "Just as the Sharingan evolves into the Rinnegan, the Byakugan can also evolve."
"Is it the Tenseigan?"
"Correct. The evolution of the Byakugan isn't as tedious as the Sharingan, going from one tomoe to three, then Mangekyo, Eternal Mangekyo, and finally Rinnegan. It evolves directly to the ultimate stage in one step—the Tenseigan, which rivals the Rinnegan."
"I see..." Konan nodded. "No wonder the Hyuga have existed for so many years without any legends of the Tenseigan. Even if it's a one-step evolution, it implies the difficulty is comparable to the sum of evolving the Sharingan to the Rinnegan."
"It is indeed difficult. In the thousand years since the birth of ninja, no one other than Hamura Otsutsuki has awakened the Tenseigan."
"Then the Tenseigan on the Moon?"
"That is a giant Tenseigan formed by the descendants of Hamura Otsutsuki fusing a vast number of Byakugan."
Alex didn't know exactly how they did it, but he was determined to get that eye.
Toneri Otsutsuki... He thought of the last descendant of the Hamura clan. That guy was born without eyes, transplanted Hanabi's eyes, and combined with his own Otsutsuki Chakra, successfully awakened the Tenseigan.
Konan would soon possess a post-natal Otsutsuki bloodline. After fusing the Hyuga bloodline, she would inevitably awaken the Byakugan. With these two factors combined, could she, like Toneri, successfully awaken the Tenseigan?
Alex suppressed the various speculations in his heart. Fantasizing was meaningless; they would see the actual results.
"Konan, let Hinata go outside. Prepare to fuse the bloodline."
Konan nodded and ordered Hinata, who was under the genjutsu, "Wait outside."
The latter nodded blankly and walked out of the room.
Konan sat back on the soft stool. On the table lay two test tubes, one red and one green: Hinata Hyuga's blood and the primal solution of Hashirama Senju's cells.
One Hyuga, one Senju.
"Alex, which one do we fuse first?"
Alex didn't hesitate. "Fuse the Senju first. To be safe, we'll fuse the Hyuga bloodline tomorrow."
A day apart would allow the body time to adapt.
Konan hummed in agreement, froze the red test tube with ice, and stored it in the Storage White Paper. She activated her Paper Person technique. "Alex, you do it."
With only two bloodlines left, the fusion process was in its latter stages, and carelessness was not an option. It was better to let Alex operate her body.
"Alright."
Alex understood Konan's concern about making a mistake that could affect the final result. He tightened his paper body, found an opening, and with a whoosh, inserted himself into her chest. Fitting seamlessly, he took over control of the body.
"Hmm?"
Alex subconsciously weighed the chest area with his hands, his expression turning odd. "It's developed again..."
He hadn't noticed during their daily play, but only after possessing the body did he clearly feel it was heavier and larger than last time.
This is good!
Praising silently in his heart, he gave another squeeze before letting go, putting away the distracting thoughts to start the serious work.
Pop~
Alex picked up the test tube, pulled out the cork, and poured the green Hashirama cell solution onto his right hand. White light emerging from his palm steadily wrapped around the liquid.
The Chimera Technique activated smoothly, rapidly extracting the Senju bloodline within. Large patches of green sparkles precipitated out, and the green color of the solution faded visibly until it turned into a glob of transparent water, which was tossed to the ground.
The first step was very smooth.
Alex familiarly began the second step. Eyes closed tight, he controlled the white light cluster wrapped around the green sparkles to merge into his palm, fusing it towards every part of the body.
Under the control of the Chimera power, the Senju bloodline rapidly integrated into the blood, organs, and every single cell. A special segment was added to the underlying genes once again—the Senju Bloodline!
Fusion successful!
The Chimera Technique gradually ceased. Alex opened his eyes, a flash of joy within them.
After the fusion was complete, he could clearly feel the body's vitality flourishing. The life force was stronger. The body's durability had ascended another step. More importantly, the Chakra volume had increased terrifyingly. Perhaps it didn't compare to Hashirama Senju's 'Chakra Sea' yet, but calling it 'Chakra Tons' wouldn't be an exaggeration.
"Now then..."
Alex extended his right palm.
From the pristine white palm, a small, emerald green tree sprouted rustle, rustle. It was dripping with verdant green.
Wood Release!
He discarded the small tree and placed his right palm on the table.
Pfft, pfft!
Several sharp wooden spikes instantly pierced through the thick tabletop.
Wood Release: Cutting Technique!
Alex raised his right hand, satisfied with the Wood Release that rivaled steel in hardness. He had already learned the full set of Wood Release; he could clap his hands and call forth whatever he wanted at any time. However, if Konan didn't master Wood Release, the fusion of the Senju bloodline would only amplify her body and Chakra. The increase in attack power would be limited.
But learning the full set of Wood Release, even with him helping her cheat, would still take quite some time. Not to mention the full set of Sealing Jutsu, other powerful Ninjutsu, and Forbidden Jutsu that all required time to master.
But it didn't matter. Since he was there, him mastering it was basically equivalent to Konan mastering it. The impact wasn't significant.
Alex tried out a few other small Wood Release ninjutsu to satisfy his craving, then handed back control and left Konan's body.
