That one line from the Seventh Hokage silenced the new generation.
Madara—weak? Not a chance. Even Naruto admitted he'd be outmatched.
[Madara]: "Interesting. When does this 'system' rank me?"
[System]: "Selections are randomized."
[Izuna Uchiha]: "Hurry it up and rank my big brother! Those clueless kids need their eyes opened!!"
Down on the battlefield, Obito fought one against four to guard the Gedo Statue.
Fan in his right hand, killing intent in his eyes—
every time Naruto lunged in, Obito read a flaw and shut him down.
Killer B and Kakashi tried to snipe the statue.
No dice. Obito was simply too strong.
Kakashi pitched a plan: everyone stall Obito while he used Kamui to twist off the Gedo Statue's head.
He activated his Mangekyō—
…and Kamui cut out mid-cast.
[Hashirama Senju]: "Kakashi, your Kamui dropped? Don't tell me it's counterfeit!"
[Tobirama Senju]: "Brother, be serious. Obito interfered—of course the jutsu glitched."
[Hashirama]: "Ah?"
[Boruto]: "Why does the First Hokage sound kinda… dopey?"
[Sasuke Uchiha]: "When do you rank me? I'm actually getting impatient."
Sasuke was practically hopping.
In his head he was already rehearsing the big highlights:
One-handed subdue Obito!
Turn the tides!
And obviously the iconic moment: "You are my little peanut." (…Please don't ask.)
[Boruto]: "Now I'm hyped for Master Sasuke's ranking too!"
Kakashi stared at his halted Kamui, a cold idea spreading through him.
The same space. The same eye. The same—
No. Impossible.
[Minato Namikaze]: "Congratulations for guessing right. No prize."
[Kushina Uzumaki]: "Sigh… must it be like this?"
[Kakashi Hatake]: "If my eye is Mangekyō, can I slip into the same Kamui space?"
[Obito]: "..."
Obito (thinking):Too naïve.
Naruto surged forward with a Rasengan—
white light flared—
and Obito was already gone.
Naruto shut his eyes, sharpened his senses.
The ground rippled.
Obito rose from the earth like a phantom, hand shooting for Naruto's neck—
Might Guy barreled in, blue steam howling off him—
only for scattered boulders to jam his path.
Obito shifted to intangibility; even the Gunbai in his hand went ghostly.
It phased through rock and cracked across Naruto's ribs.
The crowd gasped. So that's how far Kamui's intangibility could be pushed.
Obito seized Naruto's sleeve—
A silver flash—Kakashi's kunai—
Obito sighed and let the blade pass through his head.
[Kakashi]: "Naruto, press him! I'll handle the kunai!"
Obito flicked a kick, sending the kunai whistling up toward Naruto.
Naruto didn't even look; he stretched for Obito's mask—
—and Kakashi's left eye spun, Kamui gulping the kunai into the void.
Obito's body slipped through Naruto's grab. Clean.
But a heartbeat later—
Crack.
A thin fracture spread across Obito's mask.
[Boruto]: "Huh?! He didn't get hit—how did the mask crack?!"
[Shikadai Nara]: "I get it…"
[Sarada Uchiha]: "Shikadai?"
[Shikadai]: "Kakashi-sensei and Obito share the same dimensional space.
If both used Kamui at once—Obito phased his head into that space while Kakashi sucked the kunai into that space—the kunai would just graze Obito's mask inside Kamui."
Minds were blown.
[Shikamaru Nara (adult)]: "As expected of my son."
[Naruto (young adult)]: "He's right. Kakashi-sensei and Uncle Obito were using the same dimension."
[Sasuke (adult)]: "Two concurrent transfers—Obito got nicked inside."
[Mei Terumi]: "So… a couple's pocket dimension?"
[Kakashi]: "???"
[Obito]: "???"
Obito nearly choked on his water.
He was the most straight-laced romantic on earth—a shrine to Rin in human form.
Couple's space with Kakashi? Over his dead, re-animated body.
[Rin Nohara]: "Seems I came at a bad time…"
[Obito]: "Rin, wait, it's not—Kakashi that jerk—"
[Minato]: "I never expected that relationship reveal, you two…"
[Kushina]: "…"
[Hashirama]: "BWHAHAHA! I acknowledge you!! A shared couple's dimension—something even Madara and I never achieved! Your bromance puts ours to shame!!"
[Tobirama]: "Brother. Dignity. Please."
Tobirama cut a glance at Mito, whose expression had gone arctic.
Announcing your 'love' for Madara in front of sister-in-law? Bold move, brother.
[Madara]: "Idiot. Shut up."
The laughter died as the mask's fracture deepened.
No time to gawk—Killer B hauled the Eight-Tails' bulk forward and hammered at the statue.
Obito slammed his hands to the earth.
"Don't underestimate Uchiha power—
Uchiha Flame Formation!"
A blood-red barrier bloomed before the Gedo Statue,
catching B's full-force punch and searing his arm raw.
[Killer B]: "Oh yeah—so that's the Uchiha heritage, fool ya, fool!"
[Kakashi]: "Obito… when did you learn so many techniques?"
[Obito]: "I'm not like you. When did you fall to just running your mouth, Kakashi?"
[Madara]: "Your efficiency is abysmal, boy."
Madara (coolly): "Give me minutes and I'd end them all. Eight Gates? A roadside weed."
[Hashirama]: "Damn it—am I really going to be Edo-Tensei'd someday?!"
[Orochimaru]: "Easy, First Lord—please look at me."
[Hiruzen]: "Orochimaru! You treacherous snake—what are you plotting!"
The battlefield heat shimmered.
Obito's cracked mask tilted toward Kakashi, the single eye burning.
One shared dimension.
Two Mangekyō.
A lifetime of unresolved debt.
And somewhere behind that fracturing porcelain—
the face a certain man least wanted to see.
