In The early morning, around 4 AM, some villagers wake up early to prepare for their livelihoods. Meanwhile, housewives who sell breakfast also wake up as early as 3:30 or 4 AM to make soup for morning noodles (kuy teav khmer), as well as Khmer porridge and Khmer rice dishes.
We see Hana walking, her hands tucked into her sleeves and coat pockets, likely because of the cold morning air. Yet, her clothes are the same as yesterday. Did she not go home? At this hour, an auntie in the village who is preparing to sell breakfast asks, "Hana, are you waking up to exercise?" Hana replies sweetly, "Yes, Auntie!" The auntie advises, "Don't run too far, just run close by here!" She then calls Hana over to taste the soup she made. Hana agrees, "It's delicious, Auntie! This morning, before going to school, I will come and eat your soup!" The auntie smiles and praises her, saying she is polite, respectful of elders, and very smart. "My child says you are the smartest student in the school!" Hana only smiles and thanks her. Suddenly, the auntie asks, "Hana, are you wearing the same clothes?" Hana replies that she was so busy studying last night that she didn't bathe or change clothes; she fell asleep on the study table. "When I woke up, I came out to run to clear my mind!" After saying this, she ran a few laps so the auntie could see, and then bid the auntie farewell to go home.
She takes off her gloves and throws her clothes into the wash. Then, she takes a shower and hums a melody. It is an unfamiliar tune, but beautiful sweet, yet slightly melancholic, with a hint of joy within the sadness. Overall, it is lovely.
After eating the auntie's soup, she bids farewell to everyone sitting and eating, very politely, and leaves with a confident smile for the exam. Walking around a small corner, she is startled and almost screams, but manages to cover her mouth. It is likan, who surprised her! The two walk to the bus stop, asking each other about the lessons. Hana knows everything and corrects likan.
Arriving at school, they both take a deep breath, ready. However, they and other students first have to clean the classroom where they will take the exam. A moment later, at 7:30 AM, the exam papers arrive. The Grade 12 students sit in their exam rooms, with invigilators present to maintain the standard of the Baccalaureate exam, which is like a national examination. This exam in April is only the first mock exam. The mock exam lasts one day; the actual national exam is two days.
In the evening, the students feel like a thorn has been removed from their chests. They are happy that the exam is over, whether they studied diligently or not.
Mutu, the Class President, taps Hana's shoulder from behind! Hana asks, "Is something the matter?" he makes a face, wanting her to think she missed something with him or not?likan and Siv siv are very confused! "Oh! I forgot yesterday. Sorry!" he says, "Forget it," and goes back to his friends. Hana shouts after him, "I got back together with my boyfriend!" Siv siv looks at Hana, her face looking slightly unhappy. Kan asks Siv siv what's wrong ?ah! "Nothing." They part ways, but kan goes to work as usual.
She opens Facebook and sees Hana posted a picture of her new hairstyle. She looks lovely. Just then, San chats with her, asking why she took so long to accept his friend request on Facebook. She replies that she knew and accepts San's friend request immediately. He asks her is she wants to come watch him play football next week?. But kan refuses, saying she is busy; she wants to stay home that day! This answer makes San laugh, "That's your idea of being busy?"
In their Grade 12B class chat group, the Class President mutu announces that starting tomorrow, everyone can come help prepare the booth for their class quickly. LiDa and neaya(both are vice-president) are responsible for brainstorming what to sell and collecting money to buy supplies for the items. Meanwhile, mutu, the Class President, will arrange the booth to be aesthetically pleasing and creative in any way they like, as long as it appeals to them or to others. Liv chats with kan She is watching a series, about the Idea they came up with yesterday and wants to suggest it to the Class President.
The next day, the school is bustling. Students are allowed to wear varied clothing as they wish. She is wearing a hoodie and long pants, standing at the corner, waiting for Hana. Suddenly, Hana sees Her and shocked. Hana quickly grabs kan's hand and drags her to her house to change clothes, complaining, "Don't you know how to dress for the heat?" Arriving at the house, kan is truly impressed! From the outside, it looks like just a wall, but inside, it is beautiful, spacious, and well-ventilated! Kan changes clothes as Hana instructs. She tries on many outfits that are too short for kan's liking. Hana sighs, even the knee-length ones are considered too short? Finally, kan settles on a long, loose denim pants and a black and white checkered long-sleeved shirt. Her small figure looks a bit bigger in this style! Kan, however, wants to nap on the sofa for a bit! Then Siv siv calls, asking where they are; she has arrived at school and can't find them!
Arriving late, Siv siv chides them for making her wait. Their class advisory teacher asks mutu to call kan to meet her. When they meet, Hana remains quiet, as usual. But the teacher asks kan, "How far have you gotten in re-investigating the broken window case?" If not yet, kan should hurry a bit because she's afraid kan won't have time to investigate during the holiday! The principal says that if you doesn't report any results when school resumes for the may exam, he will assume Dan is definitely the culprit, and Dan's score will be deducted by 50, not 30. Kan is shocked! She asks again, "Am I the one being pressured to investigate? Why does it sound like a threat?" The teacher apologizes, asking her to calm down, and says those are the words from the Principal. She asks, puzzled, "Why is the broken window case so important that it needs to be investigated? I am truly confused!" This question makes the teacher pause, but she replies, "It's just to find the real perpetrator and punish them for daring to lie for so long and blame Dan! Don't you want to help Dan?" kan counters, "Don't the other teachers and you want to help Dan?" The teacher raises her voice, asking kan why she's talking back to her. The forceful question startles Kaan; she's never seen the teacher like this! The teacher speaks normally again, "The other teachers have many classes to teach, kan, you know that. Especially the homeroom teachers and Grade 12 teachers are very busy. Can you help lighten this burden? Or just consider it helping Dan!" kan replies and walks away, feeling hurt, saying, "Why does it always have to be me who helps others?" This phrase makes the teacher look at her back with an eye of guilt, as if she had once wronged kan.
San and Dan are walking and see her walking unusually fast. He tells Dan to go ahead; he'll go see kan for a moment, bringing a bottle of cold water. Dan saw Kan from a distance, curious about what her is planning to do.
The cold water touches her cheek, startling her. She turns and sees San! She sighs and asks him why he's here too. San just hands her the water and says, "You're look so worry. Drink this cold water." He adds, "Don't forget to accept my invitation," and walks away, with kan following behind him. , "Who broke the classroom window?" she looks at him and replies, "I couldn't find out; the person confessed themselves!" she decides not to tell him, afraid the matter will drag on endlessly! San doesn't ask further and leaves her to go find his friends.
Seeing the students busy making the school beautiful, Hana and Siv siv are helping to make Khmer traditional star lanterns (Kom pkai). While making them, they watch the traditional Khmer dance group. Mala is also dancing. Her father wants to see her dance, and while she's not totally against it, she has practiced dancing since childhood, and recently signed up for a few days of practice to prepare for Sangkranta! The dance practices follow strict traditions with a teacher. Initially, Mala wasn't allowed to join, but coincidentally, one dancer got sick for about two weeks, so she was allowed to join. While that also Sara's group is filming the students' cooperation to make the school famous and attract many visitors!
Likan goes to make a lantern, and she sneaks a peek at San's classroom. She sees them decorating and is amused by San's actions, but she hides so San won't see her. When she stops spying on San, she turns and is startled by Mai standing behind her, watching her. She just smiles and leaves. But Mai sees the bruise on her face and asks kan, vi, Jin, and phea why they all have the same injuries. She is completely stiff because vi warned her not to let Mai know! She replies, ".I was playing with my friend and accidentally hit and injured face.," then she quickly leaves.
Kan and liv go to suggest their idea to Mutu president. Li Da and neaya walk by and are called over to discuss whether they should adopt the idea! Kan and Liv ask them not to tell anyone that they came up with the idea! Li Da looks at both of them, her face thoughtful. Neaya says, "You're not the only ones with ideas! Others have ideas too!" LiDa says, "Then let kan explain to them. And when we gather opinions from different groups, we'll vote on which idea is better! Or we can combine them." kan nods. Liv explains, and kan adds clarification for them. After listening, mutu praises liv, "liv, you can talk a lot after all!" Deciding on the plan, they part ways.
In the evening, kan goes to work happily. Even Yin, while clearing tables, wonders why she seems happier than usual. After finishing work, they get paid. As her promised, she treats them to dinner! That evening, they eat together and chat a lot about the class preparations. Yin says the two of them argue as if they're in the same class! Suddenly, both of them choke and argue that they would never study together! Seeing their reaction, Sister Khai laughs at their behavior.
Arriving home, she sleeps soundly. She hopes not to dream because she wants to sleep deeply, but if she does dream, she hopes it's a good dream.
