The smoke and ice shards from the battle slowly dissipated.
Mars' body was deeply embedded in a recess in the wall, covered in injuries, and completely unconscious.
"We... we won..."
Klaus adjusted his glasses, his eyes behind the lenses filled with disbelief.
The monster-like guy who had pushed the Golden Dawn to their limits was defeated just like that?
"Hahaha! This guy wasn't so tough after all!"
Asta, shouldering his demon-slayer sword, grinned widely, revealing a mouthful of white teeth.
Although the process was perilous, the outcome was good.
"Don't let your guard down so easily, you idiot Asta." Ryoma's voice drifted over.
"Who knows if he has any more tricks up his sleeve?"
Asta's smile froze. He instinctively looked at Mars by the wall and tightened his grip on his sword.
That... seemed very reasonable.
"Don't worry, he no longer has the strength to fight."
Klaus walked over, carefully checked Mars's condition, and only breathed a sigh of relief after confirming he was completely unconscious.
Then his grimoire automatically opened, and he used magic to firmly bind Mars's limbs and body. To be safe, he even reinforced it with several extra layers.
After doing all this, Klaus reached out and took Mars' grimoire, which looked like two grimoires stitched together.
"Hmm, a very unique double-sided grimoire, capable of simultaneously recording two different elemental magics." Klaus explained in a deep voice.
"This is unheard of in the entire Clover Kingdom."
Everyone felt a chill upon hearing this.
A Magic Knight, capable of using two completely different magic systems.
Had the Diamond Kingdom's research reached such a level?
With Mars, the biggest threat, dealt with, everyone's gaze finally turned to the door of the treasure vault.
"It looks very sturdy."
Yuno's gaze swept over the runes.
"Let me do it."
Luck excitedly raised his hand, and the lightning around him began to crackle again.
"A door like this, one lightning magic spell will..."
"Wait a minute, Luck!" Klaus immediately interjected.
"What if it triggers some trap? This is an ancient dungeon after all."
"Tch, how boring."
Luck pouted, but still dispelled the lightning in his hand.
"This door..."
He walked around the door, reaching out to press his hand against it, seemingly sensing something.
"I know. This entire door is made of mana."
"Made of mana?" Mimosa was a little surprised.
"Yep." Luck nodded affirmatively, then he suddenly turned and pointed at Asta, who was carrying the greatsword.
"Hey! Asta! Use your sword. Cut it."
"Oh! Alright."
Asta immediately perked up. He raised the massive demon-slayer sword with both hands, adopting a stance as if he were putting all his strength into it.
"Watch this!"
He roared, bringing the sword down fiercely on the giant door.
The blade of the demon-slayer sword easily sliced through the door, which then quickly dissolved into specks of light.
Behind the door was an even more expansive space, and everyone was stunned by the sight before them.
"So... so amazing..."
Asta's mouth was wide open, and he almost dropped the demon-slayer sword in his hands.
What appeared before them were... mountains.
Mountains made of countless gold coins, jewels, crowns, and scepters—a veritable mountain of gold.
Golden light intertwined with the brilliance of various colored gems, almost blinding everyone.
Scattered atop the gold mountains were all sorts of uniquely shaped magical items, each emitting magic power fluctuations, some strong, some weak.
"Ahhhh—!!!"
Asta let out an earth-shattering scream, his eyes now shaped like stars.
"It's a treasure mountain!"
Mimosa was also awestruck by the astonishing sight, exclaiming softly.
Klaus pushed up his glasses, trying to maintain his noble composure, but the slight tremor at the corners of his lips betrayed his inner turmoil.
Even they, with all their experience, had never seen such an exaggerated display of wealth.
The group, filled with excitement, stepped into the treasure room.
"Wow! This crown is so shiny!"
"This staff feels so powerful!"
Asta excitedly thrashed around in the pile of treasures, at one moment picking up a jewel-encrusted helmet and putting it on his head, at another waving a golden scepter taller than himself.
Ryoma was awestruck by the miraculous sight before him.
A mountain of gold.
And those magical items emitting magic power fluctuations, among them many rare and precious artifacts.
He took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down.
Then, a thought irresistibly popped into his mind again.
Wasn't Yami's arrangement this time a bit problematic?
Was it really reliable to have Luck, that battle maniac, as the leader?
At a time like this, wasn't Finral's Spatial Magic what was most needed?
If he were here, he could open a Spatial Gate, connect it to the Black Bulls' base... then just stuff all these treasures in.
Even if Finral ran out of magic power, he could rest for a bit and then continue opening the gate. A few back and forth trips would clear out most of this place.
This was maximizing profits!
The more Ryoma thought about it, the more his heart ached.
He even started to regret why he hadn't researched storage-type Spatial Magic earlier. Even a very small interdimensional storage item would have been good.
Looking at the unmovable mountain of gold before him, Ryoma felt like he had lost a whole fortune.
Just as he was lamenting, on the other side of the treasure room.
Yuno, who had been silent, was suddenly drawn to a wisp of green light floating in the air.
The light speck, as if alive, circled around him once, then flew towards a corner of the treasure mountain.
Yuno didn't hesitate and immediately followed it. He saw a solitary table, and on it lay a scroll.
An ancient scroll, surrounded by a faint, pale blue breeze, which completely kept the surrounding dust away.
Yuno reached out, slowly approaching the scroll, and unrolled it.
What met his eyes were strange, unreadable characters he had never seen before.
Just as he was looking at the characters on the scroll, the scroll suddenly burst into a brilliant green light.
In the blink of an eye, the entire scroll turned blank.
"What happened?"
The dazzling green light attracted Klaus and Mimosa.
"Don't touch things so casually, put it back."
Yuno nodded and placed the blank scroll back in its original position.
And just then, on the other side of the treasure room.
The anti-bird (Nero), which had been perched on Asta's head, was tugging at his hair, seemingly trying to lead him in a certain direction.
"Hmm? What's wrong?"
Asta looked at the strange bird in confusion.
Under Nero's persistent guidance, Asta broke through a wall.
Inside was a hidden space, and a sword was plunged into it.
"Another sword?"
Asta walked over curiously. He instinctively reached out and gripped the sword's hilt. He easily pulled out the sword, which could absorb magic and deliver magic-infused slashes and shockwaves.
"So light!"
The moment he drew the sword, his five-leaf grimoire automatically opened to a blank page. Black ink began to rapidly appear on that blank page, forming some special characters.
Asta shouted excitedly, "Ohh! My grimoire has another sword!"
