Chapter 49 - Pure Blood

The Abraham Family controls the Door Pathway. They ranked first among the great nobles of the Tudor Empire. After the Blood Emperor's demise, they were hunted by the Seven Deities. Their descendants suffered an ancestral curse, unable to advance to demigods, and thus declined.

This is the history of my mother's teacher's Family!

It's similar to what some Observers provided before, but there's also new information. Hmm, they were the first noble Family, and after the Emperor's demise, they were actually hunted by the Seven Deities. Their descendants were cursed by their ancestors, unable to advance to demigods. So that's why they declined.

A Reader mentioned before that students like my mother are a kind of attempt by the Abrahams. They probably want to find a way to lift the curse through these students.

As long as they are not descendants of this Family, they will not suffer the curse and will have the chance to advance to demigods, or even higher.

Then what about my mother? She might have a chance to become a high-sequence powerhouse!

Faceless Man: Regarding the Hunter Pathway, for subsequent potion formulas, the easiest way is, of course, to find Mr. K and join the Tarot Club. Alternatively, you can also go to Damir Port to find Danitz, or find Anderson, the Hunter. Especially the latter, he should be able to provide some potion information if you can impress him.

Failing that, the Einhorn Family, the royal Family of the Feysac Nation, controls the 'Hunter' Pathway, and the Iron Blood Cross Society also has 'Hunter' formulas. It's just that the Feysac Nation is a bit far, and it's not easy to get the formula from the royal Family. As for the Iron Blood Cross Society, this organization believes in ********, and contact with them is somewhat dangerous. If you want to try, go to the Intis Republic to find them.

Basically, these should be all the clues for the Hunter Pathway formulas, right?'

Another potion clue!

The Observers are really enthusiastic; they are all very good people, willing to help the weak. Their noble character should be praised!

Lex controlled his emotions and carefully read the message.

Indeed, for subsequent formulas, it's most convenient to rely on his fellow countryman.

Finding Danitz in Damir Port, that's a new clue.

The royal Family of the Feysac Nation controls the 'Hunter' Pathway? And there's also the 'Iron Blood Cross Society,' but the Reader said contact would be dangerous. It must be related to the deity they worship.

The deity's information is blocked, so it seems it's not something I can access right now, and I'd have to go to the Intis Republic.

After reading this message, Lex felt a headache. His spirituality was almost depleted, so he canceled the summoning.

However.

Every time he opened the 'mystical book,' he gained something, which completely allowed him to ignore the headache-inducing side effect of reading the information.

This time, he gained a tag. Even though the boost this tag brought was still very small and almost negligible, it had great potential for growth.

Additionally, there was the information provided by the Observers.

The secrets of the Abraham Family, clues for subsequent potions, and possible potential enemies—the value of this information provided by the Observers was immeasurable to Lex.

After a short rest, feeling his headache gone, Lex opened his wardrobe and changed his clothes.

Today he was going into the mountains with Lewis and the others, so Lex chose a 'hunting suit' that was easy to move in. The characteristic of the hunting suit was its many pockets on the jacket, allowing him to carry as much ammunition as possible.

After changing, he went to the dining room and happened to see his younger sister Harribel leaving with his youngest brother Joe. In the dining room, only his mother was eating; his father had either left or hadn't arrived yet.

"Good morning, Mom."

Lex greeted her and sat down, served by his personal valet.

Amelia put down her glass of milk and said with a hint of worry in her eyes, "The carriage that was damaged last night has been sent for repairs. I took a look this morning; the damage is quite extensive. You weren't hurt, were you?"

"I'm fine. It was indeed thrilling last night, but fortunately, Officer Lewis and his team arrived in time." A hungry Lex quickly picked up a slice of bread and placed vegetables, smoked meat, and other items on it.

Amelia nodded slightly and said, "That's good. If it's too dangerous, don't get involved anymore."

"I know my limits." Lex bit into his bread and said, "By the way, Mom, I have some questions I'd like to ask you."

Probably guessing what Lex wanted to ask, Amelia smiled and said to the butler, "You all go down first. Go have breakfast, or rest."

The gray-bearded butler nodded, made a gesture, and led away all the servants, including Matthew.

Only Lex and his mother remained in the dining room.

Amelia then said, "Now you can speak."

Lex wiped his mouth with a napkin nearby before saying, "Mom, what is pure blood?"

Amelia thought for a moment before responding, "This question is too broad. First, we need to clarify what kind of purity you mean."

"Is it referring to the mind, or the body?"

"Since it's blood, then it must be the blood of a pure person. A pure person can be a devout believer, or a virgin who still maintains chastity. So, it's difficult for me to give you a correct answer."

She added, "Why do you ask this question?"

Lex then briefly recounted the madman's words from last night.

Upon hearing that the 'passage' was in a state between the Spirit Realm and reality, Amelia's expression became serious.

When she heard that it was a medium prepared for the descent of a deity, the mother stood up and said, "This is too dangerous, Lex, you must not get involved anymore."

At this moment, the door opened, and Bison walked in. The gentleman, whose hairline seemed to have receded slightly again today, looked at the mother and son in confusion: "What are you discussing?"

Then, without waiting for an answer, he added, "Lex, there will be an event tomorrow at Memorial Square. Our 'Municipal Construction Fund' has been officially established, and the Town Chief plans to hold a solemn ceremony at Memorial Square to announce this matter to everyone."

"Furthermore, St. Witt's Church also strongly supports this. The Bishop has even promised to distribute daily necessities in the square tomorrow, providing some essential support to those who are poor and destitute."

"I believe the news of this fund will quickly spread throughout the Town, and even to big cities, inspiring other nobles and merchants to follow suit. Then I will be the founder."

The cheerful gentleman laughed heartily, "How about it, Lex? Will you join us tomorrow? After all, you are the initiator, and this is a good opportunity for me to introduce you to everyone, to introduce your transformation."

Lex glanced at his mother, then at his father, and finally showed a helpless smile.

"Alright, Mom. Since Father wants me to attend tomorrow's event, I won't participate in that matter."

Amelia finally breathed a sigh of relief, a smile returning to her face.

Bison spread his hands and said, "You two, can you tell me what matter it is, exactly?"

"It's about the murder case. Mom thinks it's too dangerous and doesn't want me to get involved," Lex explained simply.

The Baron looked at his wife, and Amelia whispered, "Lex told me that the culprit originally intended to create an event for a deity's descent in our Enki Town."

"Now the culprit's goal is just one step away, and those officers need to find a monster as soon as possible. Because it involves the Domain of a deity, I think it's better not to let Lex get involved."

Bison was dumbfounded: "Such a thing actually happened? Our Town is in such a dangerous situation now?"

The Baron frowned. After a moment, he looked up and said, "No, Lex. You must continue to be involved in this matter. Compared to an evil deity event, tomorrow's activity is not nearly as important."
