Chapter 250 - Mutual Provocation

Lex moved his feet quickly, retreating along the passage the way he came. On the wall on the other side of the passage, bullet holes appeared one after another, starting from near the captain's room and chasing Lex all the way.

Apparently, the 'guest' in the room had sharp senses, judging Lex's approximate position by the sound of his footsteps and firing at him through the wooden wall.

Lex did the same, retreating while sending his revolver's bullets one by one in the direction of the gunshots from the room.

In a flash, he reached the corner. Lex immediately ducked in, stopped in front of a dining trolley, took out his speed loader, and replaced the empty cylinder.

Just as Lex was about to probe the identity and background of the guest inside, he heard someone in the captain's room laugh: "No way? With such terrible marksmanship, you dare to play pirate? My ninety-year-old neighbor shoots better than you!"

Lex was stunned.

Why did these lines sound so familiar?

Weren't these the words I used to Provoke opponents?

The one inside, he wouldn't also be a 'Hunter', would he?

Lex chuckled: "You say that as if you've hit me. I suspect, even if I stood still, you probably wouldn't hit me."

The 'guest' in the room fell silent for a moment, then chuckled and said: "Then you have the guts to come in, stand still, and see if I can kill you."

Lex also chuckled in return: "Why don't you come out? Are you too ashamed to show your face? If you're still a man, don't hide in the room. Let's settle this on this passage. Do you dare?"

This time, the 'guest' in the room was silent for an unusually long time before saying: "You're also a 'Provoker'?"

"Bullshit, so you are too?" Lex cursed, mimicking a pirate.

He looked at the Tin Sheet trolley next to him and had an idea. Lex pushed the dining trolley onto the passage, and with a forceful push, the Tin Sheet cart immediately rushed forward, its wheels spinning and making a continuous screeching sound.

Gunshots rang out in the room again. This time, the 'guest' inside chased after the dining cart, firing.

Lex took the opportunity to turn around and rush onto the deck. Under the bewildered gazes of everyone, he ran towards the ship's edge, grabbed a rope, and then jumped off the ship.

He saw a window.

Lex swung on the rope towards the window, kicking hard with his feet. He broke through the window.

Glass shards crashed onto the floor. Lex rolled on the floor, quickly sprang up, and his Blood Praise pointed at a cowering figure in the room.

The man was still pointing his gun at the door. He turned his head at the sound, only to see Lex's dark gun muzzle.

He immediately cried out: "Don't shoot, I surrender!"

He was so straightforward that Lex worried if he had set a trap waiting for him.

After all, the other party was also a 'Hunter', and Hunters are very good at setting traps.

Unexpectedly.

The man suddenly dropped the revolver in his hand, showing a fawning smile and saying: "Look, I've already disarmed and surrendered. Didn't you say you wouldn't kill those who surrender? You'll keep your promise, right?"

Lex didn't lower his revolver and said expressionlessly: "I am a pirate."

The man's face immediately turned grim.

"Turn out all your pockets." Lex calmly gave the order.

The man, who clearly had the features of an Intis person, was stunned for a moment. On his relatively thin face, he tried hard to force a smile: "I don't have anything on me."

"I won't count to three."

Lex cocked the hammer.

"As you say, as you say." The man quickly turned out all his shirt and pants pockets, taking out matches, a cigarette case, a wallet, a pocket watch, photos, and other items.

These things did not appear to be mystical items.

"Very good, now take off your clothes one by one." Lex said calmly.

The man, however, was startled: "You, what do you want to do?"

Bang!

A bullet hole appeared at his feet.

Lex said in a deep voice: "Next time, it will appear on your head. I promise, my marksmanship is better than you think, and I will definitely not miss."

"I'll take them off!"

The man gritted his teeth and shouted, looking at Lex with a resentful gaze, and with trembling hands, he took off his jacket, shirt, and trousers one by one, throwing them on the floor.

Lex nodded: "Put your hands on top of your head and turn around."

"What?"

Lex gestured with his revolver.

The man closed his eyes, as if resigned to his fate, raised his hands, clasped his head, and turned around once in place.

"Alright, now put your clothes back on."

The man was startled, then quickly put on his clothes. As he was pulling his trousers over his hairy legs, Lex lowered his gun and walked over.

"What's your name?"

The man was about to answer when suddenly a violent tremor hit the back of his head. His eyes went black, and he fainted.

Lex whistled, pulled over a chair, found a rope, and then tied the Intis man to the chair.

After he was securely bound, Lex woke him up.

He had already confirmed that the man had no mystical items on him. His purpose in having the other party undress and turn around was not to humiliate him, but to carefully inspect him.

Now, although a single rope couldn't trap a Hunter, if he tried to break free, it would take some time. And that time would be enough for Lex to send a bullet into his head.

Pulling a chair to sit opposite the man, Lex pointed his gun at him, a brilliant smile on his face: "Now you can tell me your name."

"My name is Raditz, damn it, you didn't have to knock me out."

The thin-faced man shook his head and said: "I can tell you anything you want to know. There's no need to torture me. I can't stand hardship."

Lex's mind was a mess, but his face remained expressionless.

"So, what do you want to tell me?"

Raditz frowned slightly and tentatively asked: "Perhaps you want the Pyromaniac's formula?"

He knew the Pyromaniac's formula?

Lex narrowed his eyes slightly and smiled: "Perhaps I don't need it."

"It seems your pirate crew is very strong. Or, how about the Conspirer's?" Raditz asked without much confidence, then he gritted his teeth and said, "If not, the Reaper's should be fine, right? This is a Sequence 5 formula. Even if your boss is some Admiral, he might not be able to get this!"

This time, Lex was truly startled.

This extremely cowardly fellow in front of him actually knew the Conspirer's and even the Reaper's formulas?

A trap!

It must be a trap!

Click.

Lex cocked the hammer, pointing it at Raditz.

Raditz screamed in fright: "What are you doing? You lunatic, isn't the Reaper's formula enough? But I really don't know any higher Sequence formulas!"

"Money, I'll give you more money then. As long as you don't kill me, I can give you anything except my life."

Lex raised an eyebrow: "You really know the Conspirer's and Reaper's formulas? Where did you learn them from?"

"Iron and Blood Cross Order, I'm a data administrator." Raditz quickly blurted out.
