Chapter 333 - The Fourth Boatswain

Dark Pollen Dust is one of the auxiliary materials needed by a Conspirer, and it is also suitable for some magic rituals. Based solely on the clue of Dark Pollen Dust, it's difficult to deduce what Pathway of Beyonder Lex belongs to, or what Sequence he is at.

Although Lex had disguised himself, he remained cautious.

After a moment of silence in the room, a lady with a pale complexion, as if she hadn't seen the sun in a long time, raised her hand and said, "I have some, 12 grams in total, for 250 pounds."

"I think 180 pounds would be more appropriate," Lex mused for a moment, stating his expected price.

The woman shook her head and said, "200 pounds, no less."

"Alright."

Lex took out the large sum of money he had on him and handed it to the approaching attendant. On the other side, the pale-skinned lady took out a bottle, which was also passed to Lex by the attendant.

Lex took the bottle and saw some black powder inside. These powders silently emitted a dark aura, and within the bottle, the black aura occasionally outlined the vague silhouette of flowers.

"After more than eight months, the spirituality will completely dissipate," the woman added, then took the pounds and began counting them.

Eight months?

That's enough.

I shouldn't need that long to digest the remaining potion from this stage, Lex nodded slightly and put the bottle away.

The transaction continued, and after about an hour, Ozil announced the end of the gathering and arranged for the participants to leave in succession.

Walking on the road outside Fragrant Leaf Tavern, Lex patted his pocket. The two hundred pounds he had just taken out today were spent just like that. He sighed again in his heart, Beyonder are truly expensive.

After returning, I'll take out another three hundred pounds and also bring out the Seer coin. I can lend the coin to the doctor. Without divination methods, who knows when he'll be able to get the potion formula for the next stage.

Having participated in a Beyonder gathering once, Lex was very clear about its shortcomings. Just as he was about to hail a carriage back to the hotel, he suddenly saw a figure emerge from behind a black gas lamp pole ahead.

Under the lamplight, Lex saw that it was a man in a black cloak, about thirty years old, with yellowish-brown eyebrows and deep blue eyes. His features weren't too sharp; he looked like someone from southern Intis, Lenburg, and Segar.

"Mr. Rayleigh, a recently famous Hunter who hunted the Beyonder of the Blood Shark, the Blood Admiral has offered two thousand pounds for you. Oh no, that was yesterday's figure. Today, your bounty has increased to three thousand pounds."

"Damn it, as much as mine."

The man talked to himself.

Lex's expression remained unchanged, but he lowered his body slightly, dropping his center of gravity, and adopted a vigilant stance: "My bounty, I'm afraid, isn't that easy to claim."

The man in the black cloak let out a dry laugh: "I'm not interested in hunting you, especially since the one who issued the bounty is Senor."

"I just want to know, how did you find out that the Golden Dream would arrive in Bayam soon?"

Lex scrutinized the other party from head to toe, then secretly checked the mystical items on his person: the magic ring and Midnight Dream were both on his hands, Devil May Cry hung at his waist, plus Blood Praise, he could fight anyone who wasn't a demigod. Hmm, I'm also wearing the black night embrace, so I don't fear divination afterward.

The black-cloaked man suddenly felt a wave of discomfort. The Hunter opposite him seemed to have a desire to hunt him, which made him feel belittled and insulted.

"Hey, I'm asking you a question."

Lex's lips curved into a smile, as if he had heard something amusing: "Who do you think you are? Why should I answer your question?"

The black-cloaked man's mouth twitched slightly. The other party's dismissive attitude made him want to punch the Hunter in the face.

But he restrained his impulse, clenched his fist, and gave a dry cough: "I am Danitz, 'Blazing' Danitz. I am also the Fourth Mate of the Golden Dream, so now, can you answer my question?"

Wait.

Who did you say you are?

Blaze?

Lex suddenly remembered seeing a message from a Watcher who called himself 'Blaze' in the mystical book, saying he would meet him in this world.

Could it be this man?

No, that's impossible.

If this person opposite me is a Watcher, he has no reason not to know me. Hmm, that Watcher should know there's such a person in the world of mystery and is deliberately joking.

However...

This man is actually a Boatswain of the Golden Dream. Has Iceberg Admiral already arrived in Bayam?

Quickly controlling his emotions, Lex scoffed: "So what? This question, I only want to discuss with your Captain. As for you, I think you're not qualified to know."

"After all, you're just a Boatswain, and a Fourth Mate at that..."

Danitz felt his temples throbbing slightly.

What's wrong with being a Fourth Mate!

Don't you know how difficult it was for me to get to this position? Do you think becoming a member of the Golden Dream is such a simple matter? There are only a few who can endure the Captain's tormenting Admiral education classes!

If it were you, I dare say you'd quit within a week!

"What, you're not planning to make a move here, are you?"

"I hope your brain is still intact. Let me remind you, this is Bayam, and you are a great pirate with a 3000-pound bounty. If I just shout, there will be plenty of Adventurers interested in you."

"Are you sure you're really a member of the Golden Dream?"

Lex's face curved into an amused smile, his gaze falling on Danitz's clenched fist. He thought, if Iceberg Admiral's Boatswain ends up in prison, she'd probably want to replace him, right?

Danitz's body tensed, but then slowly relaxed. He began to retreat into a nearby alley, intending to leave.

Lex secretly nodded. If Iceberg Admiral's Boatswain was someone easily provoked and prone to losing control, that would be too disappointing.

"Oh, and remember to tell your Captain again that I have news of the Blood Admiral." Lex added to the Boatswain who was already retreating into the alley, then extended his hand to hail a passing carriage.

Watching the carriage depart, Danitz furrowed his yellowish-brown eyebrows: "That guy, he couldn't be a Hunter too, could he?"

Sitting in the carriage, Lex let out a soft sigh. Things were going more smoothly than he had imagined. He had only just spread the news, and people from Iceberg Admiral's side had already contacted him.

Now, his only concern was that Iceberg Admiral might not be interested in his 'news'.

Just then, an endless gray mist surged before Lex's eyes, and bright lights representing various knowledge flickered within the gray mist. Above the Gray Mist was that mysterious palace, which seemed to have existed since ancient times.

Then, Lex felt a weight in his hand, and when he came to his senses, there was a paper bag in his hand.
