"If your big sister is named Snaya, then yeah, I met her," Alistair said, feeling a headache coming on. If Snaya was Georgia's sister, he couldn't exactly take brutal revenge on her for stabbing him—Georgia was Mina's benefactor, after all.
"Did she do anything to you? She doesn't give that out to just anyone. She's incredibly arrogant. How did you earn her recognition?" Georgia asked curiously.
"She stabbed me," Alistair grumbled. He was still bitter about that unprovoked sword beam.
"Stabbed you? Did she find a physical host? No... if she possessed a body, even with 1% of her power, you wouldn't have survived. Alistair, did she mention a pact? Or a 'Chosen One'?" Georgia's sharp mind quickly pieced the truth together.
"Yeah, something like that. She mentioned 'Destiny' and 'The Chosen' before giving me the disc."
"The Chosen One..." Georgia went silent for a long time. "I only have fragments of memory about that. It requires 'The Disposition of a King'—a natural-born fate."
Disposition of a King? Fate? Alistair raised an eyebrow. Those words sounded familiar.
[Golden Rule]! That was it. He thought it was just about getting rich, but maybe because it was extracted from the "Oldest Tyrant" (Gilgamesh), it carried a portion of that "King" fate with it. It had literally saved his life. Snaya must have sensed it and decided to test him rather than kill him.
"Georgia, does this gold disc do anything other than act as an ID card?" Alistair asked. "Can it cast defensive spells or something?"
"It's a crystallization of pure, attribute-less mana," Georgia explained. "You can use it for anything—restoring your energy or boosting a spell. But since you don't know any spells, it's just a battery for now."
"Mana crystallization? Why is it gold?"
"Color is just a visual effect. You can make it any color you want. The essence is what matters." To prove her point, the gem on the shield flickered, and several ribbons of rainbow-colored mana danced in the air.
"Amazing," Alistair whispered. He was a bit disappointed it wasn't a trump card, but a giant mana battery was still a hell of a gift.
