Shreiik!... Shreiik!
Sora woke up to find his hands bound by chains, and a white cloth wrapping around his body thus his feet couldn't move an inch. Panic started to set in, the foreign location didn't help either. The white room was 400 square feet with many kinds of machines that had tubes that were going in and out of his body and an EEG machine that had wires connected to a hat full of nodes on his head. ' where am I, Why does my body feel weird, why does this looks like an ICU room with extra steps' Sora started to take in his new environment.
Before long the doors open and a two individuals wit full body suits came in, you couldn't make out their gender due to full coverage. They quickly went to the monitors. With quick actions in succession they checked the data on the screens, and didn't even stop for a moment to see if the patient is awake.
The silent treatment got under Sora skin." Um, hello.. Are you a Doctor" the questions was met with silence. Sora got annoyed by the treatment and was ready to lash out but was stopped by the doors sliding open. Through the door Dr Hoiriken walked in with Jacob following closely behind.
Seeing the new arrivals not being anyone he is familiar with, Sora retreated but seem to have forgotten that all movements are sealed, so all he could he could do is watch and see what they uninvited guest wants. Upon seeing the fear in the boy's eye, Dr Hoiriken put on a warm smile.
It came so natural to him, you couldn't help but feel like you are looking at your favorite uncle. " Hello Son, I apologize for the bindings, you see your situation is a bit special and we couldn't risk our lives and most importantly yours." Dr Hoiriken spoke in such a soft voice, Sora almost let down his guard, almost, no matter how welcoming and warm this gentlemen seem, He is still a stranger and most importantly his family or friends are not around. "Who.. who are you, where am I. Where is my family?" As soon as Sora opened his mouth he started bombarding the new arrivals with questions. " Ow ha, ha where are my manners. I'm doctor Hoiriken and as for where we are I'm afraid I can't tell you." Dr Hoiriken replied.
Upon listening to the revelation, fear hit Sora hard. Right at that moment the lights started flickering, with a slight rumbling sound happening accompanying it within the room. At this moment the place looked and sounded at though it was haunted. Sora wasn't aware of this. His mind was busy speculating his situation. His sudden realization that his biggest fears has come to fruition, ever since he discovered his abilities.
"Fascinating, his emotions have a direct link with the spatial dimension of this room, thus you could say that this room has become an extension of him" Said the Doctors with stars in his eyes. While he was distracted by his new study subject, another person in the room had other thought. with greed in his eye, Jacob lusted for such power. He could almost see himself wielding such space bending abilities doing whatever he wants with no one able to stop him.
Before him was the prime reason why he joined this organization, and is willing to do anything to see its success to the bitter end. Dr Hoiriken saw that the tremors getting stronger so he stepped a needle of sedative in his neck to knock him back to sleep. "Why did you put him back to sleep isn't this the results you were hoping for by telling him the truth? Jacob asked. "Yes but remember preparing is needed to see ourselves succeed on our endeavor. We are so close to having our goals realized ,we can certainly wait another day besides" Pointing at the walls nearby," we need to be in a proper environment if we hope to do our experiments and not face dire consequences. Remember Son, Theory and practicals are different and one is prone to mistakes if only rely on subjective understanding rather than objective" replied the doctor.
When Jacob peeked at the wall pointed by his adopted father, he got shocked by the visible cracks." How.. How did that happen, this is a heavily fortified fortress that could withstand at least 3 nuclear attacks with minimal damage, what just happened was barely a shake" Said Jacob with a mortified expression on his face. "Stop thinking with your left brain for once and start using your imagination would you. He did shake the room walls, what he actually shock was the building blocks of the the materials used to create the room, think micro scoping shacking. Luckily for us he didn't realize what he was doing or have sovereignty over his albitites, he could have redirected his attention to us and humans aren't bult for such shacking. Replied Dr Hoirilen with astonished look on his face.
You could even hear excitement in his voice as he explains. Then at that moment his tuned his eye back to Sora, You could almost see a whirlpool taking shape in his eye as though trying to suck Sora in. For the first time ever Jacob also stare at the unconscious being on the bed, like really looked at him not as a young boy or a key to some mystical reality but as someone who is a real thread to his life. You could see some light perspiration on his face, his twisted mind though, he pictured himself in the place of the boy, taking command of such power, a living nuclear head with the capabilities to flatten an entire city with just a thought. 'and it will all be mine.'
While Jacob saw power, Dr Hoiriken saw a key to a rusty door, a mystical door way that has never been opened since the time of creation. just the thought of being the man responsible on taking Mother Gaya[earth] along with her dwellers to the next stage of evolution brought him endless joy. 'So this is what they mean, feeling like a kid again' The doctor suddenly thought with a hubris expression.
"OK, Jacob tell the team to hurry up with the preparations. The tests will begin soon and this time it's going to be way worse." The doctor gave an order to Jacob before heading out. Jacob quickly came back to reality took out his walkie talkie and started dishing out commands to the people on the other side of the comms.

A week later, in the cemetery the rain was poring over the land, the sky a shade of grave as far as the eye can see, bringing about a gloomy atmosphere. This day perfectly depicted how those from the house of Cagem felt, seeing a Son, brother and relative gets swallowed by the earth in a box. Truly a parent's pain is seeing your child's body in a casket.
Celina didn't appear like the strong asserting woman you'd expect from a week ago at the hospital. In just a week she lost so much weight, got pale as a sheet of paper, and looked as though she will fall over any moment. "Mom.. Mom please it's been a week since you ate something that can sustain you, I just lost a brother, I can't bare the thought of losing you too" small petite girl who is barely 4.9 of height with an oval shape face and black hair could be seen hold on to her tears as she holds on to the mother. Vanessa who is 8 years of age was a bit mature for her age. Being the youngest of the family you'd expect her to act pampered and live under the shadow protection from her two older brothers.
Unfortunately living with two boys and a hot headed mother taught her to be level headed in order to be able to asses most situations. She has been most worried about her mother since the day of the incident. After coming back from the hospital, her usually take-charge of a mother looked weak for the first time in her life. It was thanks to her that her mother ate anything at all.
Losing a brother took a toll on her young psyche as well, she had to take care of the emotions of everyone in the household while Jake, her older brother was busy with the logistics of the funeral.
She could see that from his tough exterior, he too was hurting, but had to soldier on to give his little brother, a dignified funeral. When he is not busy with the funeral preparations, he was in Sora's room, packing his belonging and keeping it tidy as though he hoped one day Sora would come back and find his room ready for him. Vanessa would have had a mental break down also, she was busy navigating everyone's emotion, if not for her aunt coming and giving her time to unpack her emotional baggage.
Sinthia was the fun aunt whom they really don't know where she came from. Their mother always fail to inform them about her. They didn't have any connection with their extended family from both their parents 'side, so it was odd seeing an aunt they knew for most of their lives but don't even know where she stays. But they quickly let it go for while now, they are happy to have her in their lives and couldn't bare the feeling of not having much a relative.
