Hello, everyone!
First of all, thank you to everyone who took the time to read I Prefer the Old Meta, Young Blood. Whether you've been following Eddie's story or just happened to stumble upon this novel, I genuinely appreciate you giving my work a chance.
I have an important announcement!
After revisiting my earlier chapters, I've decided to completely remake this novel from the ground up!
Don't worry! Eddie Cruz (Drumstickkk), Erica (Meihua), Jin, TraceZero, and the world of virtual reality gaming aren't going anywhere.
In fact, they're coming back with a much stronger story.
The new version will feature improved storytelling, more natural dialogue, deeper character development, better-paced action sequences, more tactical and realistic competitive gameplay, and a significantly expanded mystery surrounding Erica's disappearance.
I'll also be restructuring the story into more cohesive volumes, giving each arc the development and conclusion it deserves.
This isn't simply an edited version of the original chapters. It's a complete reimagining of the story.
The characters and central premise you know will remain, but certain events, character arcs, game mechanics, and plot developments will change. Even readers who have already finished the original chapters will have something new to discover.
Where can you read the remake?
The new novel will retain its original title:
I Prefer the Old Meta, Young Blood
You can find the new version here in Webnovel once it's published.
Meanwhile, this original novel will be renamed Drumstickkk: The Original Run and preserved as an archived edition.
I strongly encourage everyone to start from Chapter 1 of the remake rather than treating it as a direct continuation of this version.
I'm excited to revisit Eddie's journey, explore the world of neural gaming more deeply, and finally give this story the development I've always wanted for it.
To everyone who supported the original story, thank you for being part of its first run.
But this time, we're doing things differently.
The old meta isn't dead.
It's just getting started.
"I prefer the old meta, young blood."
