He walked to the whimpering kid and squatted Infront of him.
" Hello, are you okay?" He asked. The kid ignored him.
" Are you lost?" The kid nodded.
" What's your name?" He asked again trying to calm him nerves. The kid sat up and looked at him.
" Are you a girl?" He asked. Alaric smiled.
" No I'm a boy," he answered patiently then added standing up, " come on let's go find your parents.
He nodded and took his hand.
" My mom said only girls have long hair," he added still stuck up on the hair. Before Alaric could answer a frantic female voice shouted.
" Dion! Dio!" The voice shouted.
" Mum," the boy next to him shouted back and dropped his hands running to the opening. He followed worried he might fall from running too fast.
" Dion," a woman with red hair opened her arms and the little kid jumped into her arm.
" Mum the man who has long hair like a girl helped me," the little boy, Dion, said pointing at Alaric who was standing there holding his shopping bags.
He had been planning on escaping after he confirmed she was the mother.
The woman stood up holding the kid in her arms and walked towards him, hhe stopped a few centimeters from him.

The little guy was making faces at him over his mother's shoulders as they walked, Alaric reciprocated. He would giggled occasionally but whenever his mother turned to look they would both pretend nothing happened.

They arrived at the restaurant and they were lead to a table at the corner.
He ordered the cheapest thing on the menu, stir fried chicken and fries, he wasn't about to be rude.
They chatted as they waited for the food to brought up.
" I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Anne," she said.
" Ooh, it's okay . I'm Alaric, " he said then added," you are very beautiful by the way. I hope that's not rude . "
" No, that's okay. It's been quite a while since I got complimented, " she said trying to reassure her.
" So how did you two get separated? " He asked changing the subject.

He was about to talk more when the waiter appeared with their food and placed them on the table.
The kid had gotten mashed potatoes with a small steak while the mother got steak with a side serving of fries. They all are in silence, occasionally the kid would steal fries from his mother's plate.
" Thank you for the lunch," he said as he cleaned up. He looked at the watch, it was almost time for him to leave.
" It's okay, this was just a treat," she said while wiping Dion's hands and mouth. He was a messy eater.
Alaric took his bags and left leaving at the table. He wanted to arrive on time for the photo shoot.

He was waiting at the parking lot for the cab driver who seemed to be lost when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

" Jen, what a surprise," he said looking at his very first customer. She hugged him and he returned the hug spinning her around.

" I've been doing great," she said. Alaric could see from her eyes that she was genuinely happy.
" That's good you worried me ," he said quietly then added," how has life been taking?"
" I'm enjoying it, I went to therapy actually. Trying to get over how I get too invested in a relationship and forget myself," she said a sad smile flashing then a smile flashed and she added," she I'm a people pleaser."
" At least you aren't thinking of killing yourself anymore," he said seriously.
" Yeah that was really stupid. For a man." She said shaking her head.
" But it's good you're doing great," he said with a smile.
" I met someone," she said abruptly then added," but I'm going to take it slow this time and separate business with pleasure."
" Good for you, if he turns out bad. Call me I'll be at him up for you," he said jokingly. He already knew she wouldn't return. He'd probably been her emotional outlet and an impulsive decision.
He knew not all customers would be returning patrons.
" Yap and Alaric thank you for the last time. I'll come visit occasionally," she said.
A car honked near them. Alaric turned to look and noticed it was his cab.
" I got to go," he said. He kissed her on the forehead and walked into the car and shut the door.
He looked back to see her walking towards a group of girls he had not noticed. They laughed at something one of them said. This was bitter sweet.

Jen return to her new friends. She had made then during the time she was alone and sad. They met at the dungeon and formed a group.
They planned to creat a guild that catered to only women. This was a change in direction she had not expected.
She mostly associated her change in life to Alaric and that brothel. If she hadn't stepped there , she would probably be fish food by now.
