As they enter the city, the towers welcome them in the everneon night sky that Echelon has, AAA decided to look through her phone to find a good stayplace which their coinage can afford. Fortunately there were plenty of places such as that so she chose the place nearest to the Casino Outlet tower.
Lyria- Hmm...
Bolt- Hey, what's up?
Lyria- 1900th floor huh...
Bolt- No, like what's on your mind?
Lyria- The said party to welcome the special guest is said to place in the 1900th floor of the Casino Outlet.
AAA- Looks like someone has done their research before arriving here it seems.
Bolt- *yea I'm not so surprised after all that happened* AAA found us any good stayplace?
AAA- Yea here are some budget friendly, but when it comes to budget friendly places there are always hygiene unfriendly places too.
Lyria- Don't worry about that, as long as there are some couches that's fine by me.
Bolt- You're not wrong tho, couches could seem better than beds in budget hotels. I mean what if the bed is soiled?
AAA- Are you two trying to convince me to not book a hotel and just sleep on the streets on Echelon?
Bolt- On second thought, that doesn't....seem bad, I mean the streets are so clean. This new world is completely different to one I remember.
Lyria- It's fine just book a hotel which can provide 2 couches and 1 bed for the driver herself. Me and Bolt with adjust just in the couches.
Bolt- Fair enough.
AAA- *tch* Fine.
After sometime waiting in the Spacecar, AAA books a hotel and they decide to stay there for the night coming.
AAA- Alrighty people....umm we need to get adjusted to high places so I've booked this hotel called 'The Scorpion's Backbone'.
Lyria- Woah!! Sounds like an expensive place to stay. What do you think Bolt?
Bolt- So what floor are we staying in then?
AAA- This place is affordable for our budget, Lyria. And as for your question, there are a total of 674 floors in this building. And luckily we have managed to get to floor no.674.
Bolt- Great so we're gonna be able to see the vast majority of the Area here.
Lyria- Still experiencing what 674 floors feels like would be a pretty decent trailer for some chaos up 1900 floors in the air.
AAA- Let's go now, I think we've found a pretty decent spot for the night. We can go shopping tomorrow, but for now let's rest.
Bolt- Hm, you're right.
As everything goes according to plan, the three move to 'The Scorpion's Backbone'. All of them are in awe, as even from the lowest of levels, the Area's Neon theme remains as cool as ever, as if whatever present here was mean't to be however people visualised it in the past. Finally they reach the hotel, but it seems like there are some issues.
AAA- Here, my scout ID.
Bolt- Huh? Where are you off to?
AAA- The Spacecar has run out of Electricity so we need to recharge this. Instead of taking the two of you with me I thought, you could check-in my ID along with yours so we can save time.
And...Don't worry about me I'll be back by the time we need to sleep.
Lyria- It's..okay Bolt, I'll deal with the proceedings from here let's just move on from here.
As Botl and Lyria enter the Hotel, there is a slight shock that they both undergo, barely realising it. AAA takes the Spacecar to the nearby Electricity Station to recharge. As for someone she noticed who would follow her...
AAA- Show yourself out now!! Tell me what you want from us, you've been following us for quite a while.
As the person's Blue eyes glow, the person speaks in what seems to be a female covered with a mask. The mask has 2 eyes to the right, 2 eyes to the left and one huge eye in the center.
???- It's not you! *tch* what a waste of time...
The woman just escapes in the brink of a single breath as, AAA feels a bit safer now that she realises she was never the target. She continues to use Electricity to generate some power for the Spacecar.
Meanwhile at the lobby of 'The Scorpion's Backbone':
Bolt- Did you feel a shockwave?
Lyria- I did. And let me explain, it's not a surprise it's here. It's to prevent any Flux wielder from entering the building without permission or authority.
Bolt- Ohhh makes sense! Now that you think about it, AAA could've just used that- Quasar 🌌 ability to transport us to thr 674th floor without having to verify our identities.
Lyria- We didn't know about it. But me and her are a bit experienced and know that most stayplaces or hotels have such features to block out potential threats.
As Lyria and Bolt show the three scout IDS, they are granted authority to roam around this 4-star hotel. They are given a card which can be used to swipe to unlock their room door.
Lyria- Hmm...AAA hasmt arrived yet...
Bolt- Let's just contact her on the phone.
*Rings the call to AAA*
*She picks it up*
Lyria- Where the hell have you been? We've already checked in ya know...
AAA- On my way guys! There's something I need to ask you Lyria...about one of your encounters.
Lyria- No. Just get here quickly and then get inside our room then. Talk.
AAA knows how persistent Lyria could be so she decided to agree with her decision and meets them later at the booked room at the 674th floor.
Bolt- Took you some time.
AAA- Lyria!
Have you ever encountered anyone in combat with blue coloured eyes which glow like light during night?
Lyria- Don't tell me you faced some kind of....vigilante.
AAA- I did. It was following us and I'm sure you had noticed too...but then it came after me at the nearby Spacecar Station, saw my face and was disappointed that the target wasn't me.
Lyria- I don't know what you're talking about.
AAA- You didn't sense anyone following us?
Lyria- No. Absolutely not. What about you Bolt?
Bolt- *the connection between me and Lyria seem to be the same so if there's anything she's able to do by mindreading, I should be able to mindread whatever she's thinking or whomever she's speaking with, just like what happened back there*
Well no as well. I didn't sense anything.
AAA- This isn't good! Then who is that person looking for. Anyways I'll give you the details, as far as I could seen in the dark the person wore a mask; the mask had like...2 eyes on each side of the mask I think and one in the center.
Bolt and Lyria appear to be shocked
AAA- So the two of you do know something after all, I suppose?
Bolt- It isn't something you're supposed to be worried about, don't worry
AAA- No, tell me what it is, I clearly saw the expressions on your face.
Lyria- *damn it me and Bolt know it is a member of the Vanguard, but could it be that Cyan haired lady? As far as I remember I don't recall seeing her having blue coloured eyes, they were just....brown in colour. Could it be another member?*
Bolt - Should be some sorta prank let's just sleep now and get up tomorrow.
AAA- Fine. You're right, getting panicked before sleep won't allow you to sleep well...so wake me up at 7 in the morning
That night, when AAA goes to sleep, both Bolt and Lyria are wide awake and discuss about who that vigilante could have possibly been. There could be nothing more worse than just 1 member of the Vanguard in the Casino.
