Mercy took a deep breath and continued, "That wax doll is using Luciana's body as a vessel. If I unleash my true powers, Luciana's body will be reduced to ashes along with that spirit. We are Ghost Mentors, Lily—not executioners who thrive on slaughter. We're here to extract the doll, not to kill Luciana."
She had barely finished speaking when, in the far corner of the hall—where the light completely died—they saw something.
Luciana was standing there.
She stood frozen in a corner, facing the wall. Her body was trembling in an unnatural way. Then, slicing through the silence, a very thin, innocent child's voice echoed through the hall. Luciana was humming a lullaby like a little girl, but there was such anguish and coldness in that voice that it sent shivers down the spine.
"The moon has slept…the doll queen has awakened…the wax eyes have opened…now it's death's turn…"
