General Marcus said "You are a virtuous daughter and Alex you also stood up for your wife I really appreciate both of you so I am offering two seats for you in the Continent One University of the Blue Empire."
Elizabeth and King George were both were stunned since General Marcus was offering seats in the Continent One University of the Blue Empire which was a very prestigious university in the Continent One of the Blue Empire. Only the most talented individuals had the qualifications to apply as a student in this university.
Alex did not know about it so Elizabeth informed him in short about this prestigious university and then he also wondered why would General Marcus offer such position to them and be so nice to them. Afterall they knew very well that General Marcus had plotted against them which became clear when General Marcus supported Prince Dominic in his fight with Alex. So the situation seemed to be fishy.
Elizabeth declined polietely and said "Thank you for you offer General Marcus however I have responsibilities on my shoulder towards my nation so I cannot join."
More powerful than King George, Elizabeth was currently the most powerful cultivator of Black Rock City in the Blue Realm. Despite having numerous marriages and children, Princess Elizabeth was the most talented of them all. She was backed by the emperor himself to succeed him. Naturally, she was unable to enrol in the Continent One University of the Blue Empire because she had to serve the country.
Alex said "Thank you for your offer General Marcus however I would also have to let this offer pass since I would like to be here in the Black Rock City to assist Princess Elizabeth and King George to serve the Kingdom."
General Marcus was a bit infuriarated since both Alex and Elizabeth had declined his offer. He was an official of the Blue Empire after all and nobody had the guts to say no to him. But here he was declined twice by two individuals at the same time.
General Marcus thought "I have to convince these two somehow."
Millions of young cultivators around the Blue Empire wanted to enrol in the Continent One University of the Blue Empire, but their applications were rejected. He was giving them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but they turned it down. He believed that no one could turn down an offer to join Continent One University, thus he was quite irritated by it. Because if they do not join then his evil plan was not going to be implemented.
General Marcus did not show any discontent on his face and gave an approving nod and said "Princess Elizabeth I appreciated your fillial pity and regard for your father. Although your commitment to serving your Kingdom is admirable, there isn't a chance for you to advance. Furthermore, it goes without saying that Black Rock City won't progress if you are unable to make any more progress in your cultivation realm. In order to serve your Kingdom, it is crucial that you enrol in Continent One University and advance in your Cultivation Realm."
General Marcus addressed Alex and said "Alex I know about your devotion to your Kingdom and you love your family here however there is no scope for you who is a talented Individual. A talent like you can be nurtured properly only if you join the Continent One University of the Blue Empire only then the true potential will come out of you."
After General Marcus persuaded them again and again King George said "Thank you of your offer General Marcus but we have to think about it since we are unable to make a decision right now."
General Marcus said "Yes, you are welcome to take a day to consider it carefully. I will just visit you people tomorrow, so you can enjoy this ceremony today and then consider the offer."
After all the congratulation were over from different officials of different countries the engagement ceremony continued and they all went to the ceremony area where Alex and Elizabeth exchanged the rings and became engaged.
The Black Rock City crowd cheered and celebrated.
King George was quite happy at this ocassion as he announced "Three years from today Elizabeth and Alex you will be Married to each other."
Following that the Royal Family hosted a feast at which all of the visitors from various kingdoms were seated at various dining tables in the Royal Palace and feasted on royal cuisine. They all drank wine and toasted Elizabeth and Alex.
The free food was also distributed among the common people of the Black Rock City in which there were certain kinds of food which was beneficial of the ordinary individual and increased their life span by decades. In some cases there were elderly people who reverted back to their younger selfs and looked charming and energetic.
There was an environment of joy and celebration in the Black Rock Kingdom and everyone gave their blessing to Alex and Elizabeth.
While there was a harmonious environment in the Black Rock City General Marcus had already arrived in the Golden Rock City Royal Palace on his luxury car. After all the distance between the two kingdoms were not much and were adjacent to each other. So with his super car General Marcus reached in an hours time.
King Luthor, Prince Dominic, and a number of his officials were kneeling in front of General Marcus, who was seated on the throne of King Luthor, creating a tense atmosphere in the Golden Rock City Royal Palace.
This was also one of the reasons why General Marcus supported Golden Rock City because King Luthor had submitted themselves to General Marcus wholeheartedly and will go with his decision. King Luthor would not care for his Golden Rock City people and even bribed General Marcus for some minor personal gains.
However King George had a totally opposite nature to this and cared for his people. He had always put the country first and took the decisions which will be beneficial for his nation.
When General Marcus approached him King George had declined to submit to him and become a vassal state working under the instructions of General Marcus. Which infuriated the general and he wanted to take control over this Black Rock City Kingdom.
