Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 - The Phantom Protector

Location - Masafu's House

The morning was unusually quiet, the kind of silence that sets the stage for chaos. Azad sat at the dining table, savoring a simple breakfast. The clatter of utensils was interrupted by the blaring of the television, which cut to an emergency broadcast.

"Breaking News!" the anchor announced, her voice trembling with urgency. "Laconis City is under attack by a swarm of demons, estimated at Grade Level 2! Their Aki power levels are dangerously high. The death toll rises as three sorcerers have already fallen. Civilians are being slaughtered mercilessly."

The screen showed live footage of destruction: buildings reduced to rubble, streets painted in blood, and demons feasting on the remains of their victims. Azad's grip on his fork tightened, his knuckles turning white. His blood boiled as he watched helplessly.

He stood abruptly, pushing his chair back. Enough is enough.

---

The Call to Action

Azad suited up in his black and golden armor, but as he prepared to take off, he realized something crucial: he didn't know how to fly yet.

"Focus, Azad," he muttered to himself, trying to calm his mind. But the flight eluded him. Frustrated yet determined, he decided to run.

With a thunderous stomp, he launched himself forward, his feet barely touching the ground as he sprinted through the city at an unimaginable speed. Dust clouds erupted in his wake as he covered 8 kilometers in just 60 seconds.

---

Location - The Battlefield

The scene was worse than the broadcast had shown. Children's screams were drowned out by the guttural roars of the demons. Their claws dripped with blood as they tore through whatever stood in their way.

Azad's heart clenched as he saw their brutality, but before he could act, the air above him roared with the sound of approaching aircraft. He looked up to see the fleets of three guilds descending: The Red Dragon Guild, The Black Tiger Guild, and The White Tiger Guild.

From the Red Dragon aircraft, Leon, their Grade 2 leader, stood at the helm. His voice boomed over the chaos. "This is our fight for humanity! Prepare yourselves to strike with everything you've got!"

Jack Stallone of the Black Tiger Guild grinned, unsheathing a colossal longsword that shimmered with water magic. "Let's have some fun, boys. Remember, every kill counts toward the guild's reward."

Mayuri of the White Tiger Guild, with daggers glowing crimson in both hands, addressed his team. "Finish this, and the government will shower us with funding. Do not fail!"

The guilds leapt from their aircraft into the battlefield, totaling 90 sorcerers. The ground shook as they landed, weapons at the ready.

---

The Fight Begins

The battlefield raged with Chaos as Leon and his sorcerers charged toward the demon army their footsteps thundering against like a war drum. The crimson sky crackled with tension, the air thick with the stench of death and the screams of fallen soldiers. At the forefront stood Leon, his towering frame radiating unshakable resolve. His axe, a masterpiece of fiery craftsmanship, glowed like molten lava in his hands.

With a battle cry that seemed to shake the heavens themselves, Leon roared,

"Power of fire, dancing fire god!"

His body became a whirlwind of the moment, each swing of a mesmerizing dance, blades of fire erupted like celestial comets. The fiery slashes illuminated the battlefield, their heat searing the ground and consuming everything in their path.

One of the towering demons, its grotesque form oozing malovelance, stood in the tragictory of the inferno. But as the fiery blades struck, their brilliance faded against its impenetrable hide. The demon emerged unscathed, its crimson eyes glinting with a mocking glimmer.

Leon gritted his teeth, his mind racing. "How is this possible?" He thought, his grip tightening on his axe.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, jack stallone faced his own adversary, his sapphire sword gleaming like the tides of the ocean under moonlight. He stepped forward, his voice resonating with a deep, commanding authority.

"Power of water, water tide strikes!"

Jack swung his blade with ferocious precision, and from it erupted torrents of water, razor-sharp and relentless, cutting through the air with the roar of a tidal wave. The liquid blades struck the demon in front of him, carving shallow grooves across its armored body. A trickle of black blood seeped from the scratches, but the demon merely grinned, bearing rows of jagged teeth. It was a predator unbothered by its prey's resistance.

Jack's heart sank. " Even this isn't enough?" He muttered, the weight of the demon's overwhelming resilience setting over him.

Meanwhile, in another corner of the fray, Mayuri stood face to face with a demon whose bulk towered over him. Its grotesque form dripped with blood - a trophy of its recent victims. Mayuri's eyes narrowed , his twin swords gleaming with a sinister crimson light as he channeled his power.

"Power of blood, thrust of blood sword!"

With an explosive burst of speed, mayuri closed the gap. His movements were precise and calculated, like a serpent striking its prey. His blades plunged into the demon's stomach, their edges sinking deep into its grotesque flesh. The demon howled, a guttural roar of agony, as dark ichor gushed from the wound, staining the ground beneath them. For a brief moment, victory seemed within reach.

But then, the unthinkable happened. The demon's flesh began to knit itself back together, the wound sealing as though it had never been. Its laughter was a low, guttural rumble that sent chills down the spine. The realization hit him like a thunderclap - this demon had feasted on countless souls, growing stronger with each life consumed.

Mayuri staggered back, his eyes wide with disbelief. "They're regenerating... I sensed their Aki energy... They've become powerful, beyond Grade 2 level!" His voice trembled, but his grip on his swords tightened. He knew retreat wasn't an option, not when so many lives depended on their victory.

The demons, emboldened by their apparent invincibility, surged forward, their eyes burning with insatiable hunger. The battlefield echoed with the clash of steel, the roar of magic, and the unyielding resolve of those who refused to yield to despair. The war was from over.

Leon saw their sorcerers faltering against the demon army. Leon mind raced with thoughts, "We don't have any choice left than fight against them. The situation is getting away from our hands, We want a help from grade 1 sorcerers... I thought they utilised the situation. They understand that and come soon, we have to manage this situation... Until they arrived..."

But he sees his sorcerers squad lost their will against fighting demons. Many of them struggling against the demon army and wounded brutally.

Leon mind again raced with thoughts, "But... Our sorcerers lost their hope... I have to motivate them..."

Then suddenly a bold voice echoed through the battlefield, "Don't falter!" Leon bellowed, rallying his team. "Humanity has faced worse-fights more than this battle. Don't lose your hope, fight with all you've got!"

But his speech was cut short by a blinding explosion. A massive demon in front of him cut off and its body scattering into ash. The sorcerers froze by this attack, they check their surroundings but no one attacks.

Unseen by them, Azad stood in the shadows, his black and golden suit gleaming faintly.

---

Azad exploded into the battlefield like a tempest. Moving faster than the eye could follow, he unleashed devastation. His katanas ignited the air with his

"Power of fire, Red Flame Whirlwind"

turning demons into smoldering heaps of ash. The battlefield looks like a blazing tornado. Again His katanas struck with surgical precision, its

"Power of thunder, Thunder Bolt Slash"

Producing thunder, severing limbs and heads in flashes of blinding light.

The demons didn't stand a chance. Azad's raw strength and speed were overwhelming. The ground quaked beneath his footsteps as he tore through the horde with unrelenting fury.

Leon's teammate, Freya, whispered in awe, "Leon, do you know who that is?"

Leon shook his head. "No idea. I think he might be a Grade 1 sorcerer, but... he's something else."

The battlefield erupts with a blazing fire and shattering thunder. He spun in air and struck the demons with his projectile precision. Azad, still unseen, moved like a shadow-silent and lethal. In 20 minutes, he decimated all 50 demons, leaving nothing but silence in his wake. The sorcerers, battered and bruised, could only watch in stunned disbelief as the unknown savior vanished into the night.

Location - Masafu's House

Azad returned home, his armor deactivating as he slipped into the comfort of his ordinary life. Over dinner, the television replayed the events, with anchors speculating about the mysterious hero.

"Who do you think it was?" Masafu asked, his eyes wide with curiosity. "He must be a Grade 1 or even a Special Grade sorcerer!"

Azad feigned ignorance. "I don't know. Maybe... One minute..." He excused himself, retreating to his room.

Once inside, he locked the door and leaned on bed, his heart racing. "I need to keep this secret. No one must know it's me. If anybody knows, I will be stuck in big trouble."

The three chairman's voices echoed in unison, "WE MUST HAVE TO FIND HIM!"

Location - Pilgrims forest

The early morning air was cool and silent, broken only by the steady breath of Azad as he stood amidst the towering trees of Pilgrims Forest. Determined to hone his abilities, Azad began his rigorous training.

Drawing his twin katanas, he closed his eyes and focused his Aki energy. With a commanding voice, he chanted:

"Power of fire, Dancing Fire God!"

A fiery aura enveloped his blades as he twirled them in a mesmerizing display of skill, flames dancing with every swing. Smiling at his progress, Azad moved on to his next fire-based attack. Pointing his blade skyward, he declared:

"Power of fire, Blazing Crescent Strike!"

With a single swing, a blazing arc of fire shot through the forest, carving a crescent-shaped path into the ground. Satisfied, Azad shifted his focus to the power of thunder.

Holding his katanas aloft, he felt the static crackle around him. With thunder in his voice, he called:

"Power of thunder, Dancing Thunder God!"

Lightning surged through his weapons, creating an electrifying display as he danced through the forest with swift, precise movements. Finally, he raised his weapon high, channeling the energy into a focused point.

"Streak of lightning, Thunder convergence, Heat lightning!"

A massive bolt of lightning shot from his blade, splitting a nearby boulder into dust. "Incredible," Azad muttered, impressed by the raw strength of his attacks.

As the energy subsided, Azad stood amidst the scorched forest, his chest heaving with exertion but his spirit burning with determination. "Still not enough, One step closer," he said to himself, "to becoming the protector this world needs."

Afterward, Azad shifted his attention to physical strength training. Spotting a massive boulder weighing thousand kilograms, he resolved to lift it. Though he struggled at first, his determination paid off, and he finally hoisted the immense rock above his head and he does 100 sit ups with it and he breathes heavily after this boulder weigh lifting.

Wiping the sweat from his brow, Azad mused aloud, "I really do have monstrous strength. But to get even stronger, I need to increase my power further. First, I need to measure my current capabilities."

With renewed focus, Azad began testing his sprint speed. Adopting a sprinter's stance, he bolted through the 35 Kilometre stretch of the Pilgrims Forest, completing it in just 3 minutes. His speed left him exhilarated, but he wanted to push himself further.

Standing atop a forest cliff that towered massively high, Azad wondered whether he could master the ability to fly. He closed his eyes, meditated, and calmed his racing thoughts. Fear briefly gripped him as he looked over the edge, but he remembered the words of an old mentor: "Believe in yourself. You have god-like powers, and with control, you can achieve anything."

Summoning his courage, Azad leaped off the cliff. As he fell, panic set in. "Oh no, no, no, no, noooooo! I'm going to dieeee!" he yelled. But just as despair began to take hold, his body felt weightless. Opening his eyes, he discovered he was floating mid-air. A triumphant smile spread across his face.

"I can fly!, I can fly!, Aha... Hey... Hooray! This is incredible!" he exclaimed, soaring through the skies like a bird. For hours, he flew across the nation, testing his newfound ability before finally landing at home. Exhausted but fulfilled, Azad drifted off to sleep with a satisfaction.

Azad kept this routine training around 7 days for better progress.

Location - Laconis City College

After a week

The next morning in college Azad and Hinata casually chat in their classroom veranda, Azad asks Hinata. "Hinata, what level is your power now?" He asked casually.

Hinata smiled but couldn't hide her concern. "It's not very high, Azad. I am still in grade 3, if I defeat more demons in future I will increase my power level, then the officials of the government will check my power level. Then, I will be promoted to grade 2 sorcerer."

Azad is getting curious,"So... They have machine detection to check Aki energy, Am I right?"

Hinata nodded,"Yes, Azad. There are many processes, but I am not interested in it."

Azad races with a question towards Hinata,"Why Hinata? Many of them wanted this life. But, you're not interested in it?"

Hinata is slightly smiling,"Your question has a valid point Azad, But I hate this violence Azad. Sometimes I also think like why am I getting this power? I don't even want this power," Hinata said quietly, his voice heavy with weariness. "All I ever wanted was a normal life… a peaceful one, like normal human."

Hinata looked at Azad, her expression softening. There was a warmth in her eyes—a mix of care, admiration, and something deeper.

"I just want to marry someone who truly loves me," she said gently, her voice trembling with emotion. "Someone who's kind… who makes me feel safe."

A faint blush crept across her cheeks as she smiled shyly. "I want a simple, happy life—with him, and with our children someday."

Her eyes shimmered, full of quiet hope. Azad froze, caught off guard by her words.

Then she added softly, her gaze never leaving his, "That person isn't far from me… every day, I pray that God brings him into my life—and lets me live surrounded by his love."

Azad couldn't speak. He just stared at her, his heart pounding, watching the light in her eyes glow like a reflection of something he didn't yet understand.

Suddenly, an overwhelming aura swept through the air. Azad and Hinata turned toward its source, sensing a formidable presence approaching. Emerging from the distance was a monstrous creature-a demon with the body of a giant, a lion's head adorned with massive horns, two enormous wings, and a grey-red hue kept destroying the buildings in its path, then that demon approaches towards the college.

The demon's roar echoed through the college grounds, sending students and sorcerers into a frenzy. Hinata and a group of student sorcerers rushed forward to confront the beast.

Hinata drew her bow, chanting:

"Power of ice, recoil, ice breath, frost arrow strike!"

She unleashed a volley of icy arrows at the demon, but they had no effect. The demon runs towards them and slashes them with his hands and retaliated mercilessly, leaving Hinata and several others injured. As she fell unconscious to the ground, the demon roared, preparing to crush her beneath its massive foot.

But before it could strike, a powerful voice rang out:

"Rebirth of flame, access of flame, give birth to the dragon, ignite Fire Dragon!"

A fiery dragon erupted, slamming into the demon's leg and forcing it to stagger. And again that fiery dragon attacks the demon's chest, sending it flying backward.

Azad stood atop a college building, his dual katanas radiating fire. Clad in a gleaming suit that shone brilliantly in the sunlight, he was looking like a embodiment of power and hope.

The demon rose to its feet, its eyes blazing with rage as it faced Azad. The crowd watched in awe as the chosen hero prepared to battle the formidable beast.

The stage was set for an epic confrontation.
