Chapter 7 - Saiyan Tournament 2/2

Nappa, with a smile, began to raise his hand to surrender, but a sudden attack stopped him. He smelled the scent of iron and instinctively touched the side of his armor, feeling hot liquid seeping out. He turned his gaze toward Raditz and then collapsed unconscious.

Seeing his comrade fall, Raditz shouted:

— "Nappa!" he cried in worry. Then, spotting the traitor who had attacked Nappa, he charged forward with a roar: "Damn you, how dare you!"

Raditz rushed at a warrior clad in blue combat armor, marking him as an elite. The warrior had spiky brown hair like an old broom, black eyes, and stood at 1.70 meters compared to Raditz's 1.20.

Raditz reached his enemy and began charging energy in his hands, unleashing a barrage of blasts.

The elite warrior dodged skillfully, though surprised by the ferocity of Raditz's attacks. Spotting a small opening, he lunged forward—but his strike failed, countered by Raditz's agility and combat prowess.

— "How dare you! He was about to surrender!" Raditz shouted, indignant and furious.

— "How can this little runt be so strong? Was he hiding his power?" the elite thought angrily, ignoring Raditz's words.

The elite warrior then fired a powerful energy blast toward Nappa. Raditz, seeing this, used his maximum speed and managed to catch his comrade, saving his life.

— "You bastard! I WON'T LET YOU HURT NAPPA!" Raditz roared furiously, charging immense energy into his right hand. The power was so great that the ground around him began to crack. With a shout, he named his attack: "FURYYYYY!"

The strike hit, but it wasn't enough to finish his opponent. The elite warrior survived, though badly wounded—his body covered in injuries, his armor shredded, his face twisted with hatred.

— "Looks like weeds are hard to kill," Raditz mocked, his words dripping with contempt and disgust.

— "Stupid low‑class! You may fight well in a normal form, but you're still trash. You'll never control the true power of a Saiyan. Behold the might of a true elite warrior!" the wounded elite snarled, furious, as he began charging immense power in his right hand. His hand trembled, and a gravitational force spread across the coliseum.

Suddenly, an intense light formed around his hand. The Saiyan smiled and raised it upward, letting the powerful energy ascend. The strange sphere radiated an ominous aura.

Raditz sensed this was nothing good. As the light rose into the sky, reaching thirty meters high, Raditz felt his heart pounding, his breath shortening, and a surge of energy coursing from his tail through every part of his body.

The sensation was eerily familiar—like the first time he had used it, yet completely different.

— "This feels like that day…"

Planet Vegeta, four years earlier…

~~ "Raditz, today is an important day. Did you know Prince Vegeta IV will be born at the palace?" ~~ said Gine, excited about the event.

— "Vegeta is already arriving… that means the story's events aren't far off. I must train harder," Raditz thought, then asked his mother so as not to ignore her: "Uhmm… a prince?"

~~ "Yes, son!" ~~ Gine replied enthusiastically. ~~ "They say he'll be born with the greatest potential."

— "Oh, I remember… if I'm not mistaken, that child will be born with 5,000 units of power or something like that. Lucky Vegeta," Raditz thought, sighing at the prince's fortune. "Though I think there's someone even more prodigious… Oh yes, Broly! He's a monster in terms of power."

Seeing her son lost in thought as usual, Gine left him and went to her brother's shop.

Raditz, meanwhile, recalled what had happened.

— "I think Broly will be born first, then Vegeta," he thought. Then he looked out the window of his house and saw a gigantic green wave. — "What is that?!"

Before he could question it, the wave struck him. He felt every cell in his body shake, immense pain coursed through him, and unable to resist, he fainted.

The crowd was astonished by the high‑class technique displayed. The announcer, seeing the event, exclaimed:

— "What is this?! I can't believe it! A challenger has used the elite technique—the one that lets a Saiyan unleash all his power. The artificial moon!"

The audience grew worried, knowing that the Ozaru forms were far too large for such a small coliseum. And among them were low‑class warriors, which would surely plunge the stadium into chaos.

Sensing the spectators' unease, the announcer calmed them:

— "Don't worry, my audience. King Vegeta ordered the coliseum to be surrounded by a powerful energy field that prevents even the strongest blasts from escaping."

The crowd cheered the name of their king, who smiled with satisfaction.

On the other hand, Raditz was uneasy. He knew that if he didn't stop this technique, everything would be over. But before he could act, he felt his cells becoming excited and beginning to change.

... . .

[Note: I know there are lots of interruptions… haha]

Author's Interruption

[Saiyans are warriors by nature, strong and powerful. In addition, they possess a peculiar trait that only the strongest races have—the ability to transform. Legends say that the true strength of a Saiyan is revealed when the moon rises, showing the ferocity and power of a Saiyan. Their combat effectiveness increases tenfold.]

Within this state, there is a difference depending on the quality of the blood. This influences the warrior's ability.

Low‑class warriors: They possess the most impure blood, which makes them weaker and gives them zero control over their animal instincts when transforming into the Great Ape, also called the Ozaru form.

Mid‑class warriors: Their blood is moderately impure, which slows their growth. When they transform into Ozaru, they struggle to control the form.

High‑class warriors: Their blood is almost completely pure, granting them greater combat strength than their peers. When they use the Ozaru form, it doesn't take them long to adapt and control it.

Elite warriors: The purest blood on Planet Vegeta. For them, controlling the form is effortless.

End of Interruption

— "Oh no… this is very bad…" Raditz said anxiously. "I must stop it… it's now or never!"

Raditz tried to resist the transformation, but it caused him immense pain. He felt the energy coursing more and more through his body, his eyes slowly drawn toward the artificial moon.

Knowing he was doomed if he couldn't control it, he closed his eyes in an attempt to halt the sudden transformation. The pain was enormous, but he forced himself not to scream and tried to sense his rival's aura.

Before he could locate the high‑class maniac, a massive roar nearly deafened him.

— "GRRRRUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" — the mighty roar of a great beast echoed.

Raditz covered his ears, a ringing sound filling his head, leaving him disoriented and off balance. As the ringing subsided, a powerful blow sent him flying.

The strike seriously injured Raditz, slamming him against the barrier and causing even more damage.

Then footsteps began to echo. The spectators cheered wildly—the clash between these two youngsters was intense and thrilling. These children wielded the power of adult Saiyans.

Most of the victories went to the young elite, who had already demonstrated his ability to use and control the Ozaru power at such a young age. His Ozaru form stood about 3 meters tall, weighing around 500 kilos, with black fur and blood‑red eyes.

Raditz was severely wounded and exhausted. The blow and impact would have killed him if he hadn't used nearly all his energy to shield his body.

Despite the pain, he forced himself to stand and face the beast. But in his condition, he knew he was no match. So he decided to take a risky path.

— "I suppose we'll have to fight fire with fire."

Thinking of his slim chances of survival and Nappa's life, he realized he had to fight a monster with another monster.

He opened his eyes, feeling the sensation invade his body, the pain returning—only this time he didn't resist. He let the power flow and allowed the transformation to begin.

The dome began to radiate immense energy, and before the elite could strike, Raditz had already transformed. A roar even louder erupted:

— "GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" — it resounded throughout the elite city.

His Ozaru was larger than his opponent's, standing about 4 meters tall and weighing around 800 kilos. His fur was brown with small mustard‑colored patches. His eyes were crimson red, seeming to emit a faint golden aura, and his body radiated shimmering breezes of sky‑blue energy.

Moreover, the expression of the Ozaru form looked furious, and with a roar it released its imposing aura.

Everyone in the stadium was left completely stunned—by the size of the Ozaru and its suffocating aura. King Vegeta frowned and demanded that the level of this great ape be checked.

At that moment, an assistant appeared—it was Nibock. He pulled out a large scouter, turned it on, and numbers began to appear on the screen.

After a few minutes, the total came up, and he froze.

— "I can't believe it… My king… It says here he has 37,450 units of power… no… 38… 39," Nibock said, frightened.

— "Almost forty thousand," the king muttered, staring at Nibock in astonishment. "Who is he? And more importantly, are you sure he's just a mid‑class child?"

Nibock pulled out a holographic tablet and began to check. "It says here his name is Achu Salud, and he's seven years old."

— "Incredible," King Vegeta said. "Though he's still far from Vegeta."

Back in the fight, the two apes began to clash. The spotted Ozaru showed clear superiority in power and skill, while the elite Ozaru was slowly being crushed.

The spotted ape attacked with force, each strike ferocious and lethal. The elite was being overwhelmed and tried to confuse his rival with quick movements. But this only enraged the ape, who attacked with even greater ferocity.

The elite couldn't understand how, even without full consciousness, Raditz fought so well. In his mind, he wondered if perhaps Raditz was a natural warrior.

With no other option, the elite attacked the bald one, who was still in bad shape. But the spotted Ozaru ignored the attack and continued to assault the elite, preventing him from reaching Nappa.

With no choice left, the elite charged multiple blasts and hurled them everywhere, hoping to hit the bald one.

The ape watched the spectacle. This time he saw the attack and did nothing. Yet something in his subconscious forced him to look toward Nappa. Realizing who was about to be struck by a massive energy ball, a flicker of consciousness returned. He threw his body into the attack, taking the damage, and with a mighty roar turned toward the elite.

In his fury, he charged a powerful blast in his mouth and fired it at the elite.

The elite hadn't expected this, and the blast hit him full on, making him spit blood and sending him flying. He crashed straight into the platform and struck the dome, causing considerable damage.

Raditz in Ozaru form lost consciousness again, beginning to lose control even more. For a few seconds, a greenish and golden energy began to appear.

Then his body started releasing a massive amount of concentrated energy spheres upward. This caused the dome to collapse. Everyone panicked at what had happened. But suddenly, Raditz stopped.

The next moment, everyone felt a great presence—King Vegeta had appeared in the center of the stadium. Before the situation could turn into another ape battle, King Vegeta destroyed the artificial moon.

A few seconds later, Raditz awoke. Everything was destroyed. He turned and saw Nappa among the rubble. Without wasting time, he rushed to him and pulled him out. Then he carried him to the stands, where a bald man larger than Nappa approached and nodded with a grateful expression.

Raditz nodded back and returned to the dome. Out of nowhere, the pest known as the elite attacked him by surprise. Raditz grew angry that this insect was still around and felt his blood boil.

Time seemed to slow, his eyes began to burn, but he ignored it and focused on his attacker. In a blink, he appeared behind the elite and struck his back with tremendous force, leaving him unconscious.

A few seconds later, the king, still hovering above, declared: "The winner is Achu."

The entire crowd erupted, cheering the thrilling battle. Amid the shouts, they began chanting the name Achu. Raditz broke into a heavy sweat at the situation.

— "For God's sake, that's not my name," he muttered. But his protest was drowned out by the crowd's chants. Not knowing what else to do, he simply rolled his eyes.

King Vegeta looked at him seriously and said:

— "You have won. Starting next year, you will be a soldier of the king." He spoke in a solemn tone, leaving no room for argument.

Raditz almost face‑palmed at the situation and, not wanting to know more, headed straight for the exit.
